CLINT’s POV

My eyes cracked open as I felt the sun’s warmth on my skin. My eyes registered the ceiling first until I slowly turned to my side and saw Keira sleeping soundly beside me. Her hair was sprawled on the pillow, and her face looked peaceful. I could not help but stare at her momentarily, admiring her beauty.

Keira was stunningly beautiful, with a face that could launch a thousand ships. Her lips were plump and pink, and I loved the way they looked when she smiled. But what really caught my attention was her body. She was curvy in all the right places, and her skin looked smooth and soft.

Since it was the weekend, I planned to take Keira to the park on a surprise date. After a long week of unending problems, I wanted Keira to relax and let loose.

I slowly reached out to trace the outline of her face, feeling the warmth of her skin against my fingertips. She stirred a little, her eyes sliding slowly.

“Mmm, Clint?” She mumbled.

“Good morning, sleepy head,” I said gently, a smile on my lips.

Keira stirred, rubbed her eyes, and gave me a tired smile. “Good morning, Clint. What is going on?”

“I have a surprise for you,” I said, grinning.

She raised an eyebrow at me. “Surprise? What is it?”

“It is a surprise, so I can’t tell you,” I chuckled. “Come on, let us get dressed.”

Keira looked at me quizzically, but I just winked at her and got out of bed. The park was about an hour away from my house and was one of my favorite places. I was sure it had become Keira’s too.

I hopped into the shower first and dressed while Keira was still lazily dragging herself out of bed. I decided to sit and wait in the living room while I began to plan the day in my mind.

When Keira came down the stairs, she looked stunning. She wore a cute top with jeans and sneakers, and her hair was styled in loose waves. I could not help but feel proud that she was with me.

“Are you ready?” I asked, holding out my hand.

Keira nodded eagerly and took my hand. We walked outside and headed towards my car. As we walked, I could feel her hand shaking a little in mine. I knew she was excited but also a little nervous.

“Do not worry, Keira,” I said, squeezing her hand reassuringly. “We are going to have a great time.”

She smiled at me, and I saw the tension leaving her body. We got into the car and drove off towards the amusement park.

When we arrived, Keira’s eyes widened in surprise.

“When you said you had a surprise in mind, I had no idea you were referring to an amusement park,” Keira said, her eyes never leaving.

“One of our very own favorites.”

She nodded. “Of course!”

The park was busier than expected, especially since it was a work day. We walked hand in hand, taking in the sights and sounds of the park.

“What do you want to do first?” I asked, looking at Keira.

“I do not know,” she said, slightly overwhelmed. “There are so many rides.”

“Well, we can start with something easy and work our way up,” I suggested. “How about the Ferris wheel?”

Keira nodded, and we headed toward the Ferris wheel. We could see the entire park stretched below us as we went up. It was a beautiful sight, and I could feel Keira relaxing and enjoying herself.

After the Ferris wheel, we went on a few more rides, screaming and laughing as we held each other tightly. Keira was having a blast. I felt so happy seeing her like this.

“Let us get something to eat,” I said, taking her hand. “I am starving here.”

We walked around the park looking for something to eat. Keira decided on a burger while I got a hot dog and some fries. We sat at a bench and enjoyed food, talking, laughing, and watching people.

As I munched on my fries, I could not help but notice how out of touch Keira seemed, and it worried me greatly.

“Keira?”

My voice seemed to jolt her out of her thoughts as she turned to me sharply. I frowned at her.

“Is something wrong? Are you not enjoying yourself?” I inquired.

Keira’s face went grim, and she shook her head. “It is not like I am not enjoying myself, Clint. It is just that my mind keeps returning to Calvin, Papa, and the company,” she sighed.

I wrapped my hand around her shoulder and leaned her towards me. I knew that taking her out on a date was not a solution to her problems, but I at least wanted her to forget about it, even if it was just for now.

“I am so sorry. I put a damper on the mood, didn’t I?” Keira chuckled.

I planted a k**s on her forehead. “Of course not, it is perfectly normal for you to feel like this, but at least I want you to enjoy yourself, so forget about your stepbrother for now.”

Keira nodded and took a big bite out of her burger.

“Why don’t we go on that ride?” I asked as I pointed towards the roller coaster.

Keira’s eyes lit up, and she nodded.

We finished up our food and rode on the roller coaster that had Keira screaming and holding onto me for dear life. I could feel her heart pounding against mine, and it made me feel alive.

As the sun began to set, we headed towards the exit. Keiralooked sad that the day was over, but I knew she had enjoyed herself.

“Thank you so much, Clint,” she said, hugging me. “This was amazing.”

“I am just glad I could make you happy,” I said, kissing her forehead.

We got into the car and headed towards Keira’s apartment. When we arrived, I walked her to the front door.

“I had a great time today, Clint,” she said, smiling at me.

“I did, too,” I said, regret washing over my heart.

A part of me did not want the day to be over.

“Why don’t you stay over at my place today?”

Keira’s face beamed, but her expression dropped after a second.

“Oh, Clint, I would love to, but I promised Natasha we would cook and have dinner together tonight.”

I smiled, even though I was feeling disappointed. “Alright, that is fine.”

I leaned into her face and kissed her on the lips softly.

“Goodnight, Keira,” I said softly.

“Goodnight, Clint.”
