Daddy's Little Whore
Daddy’s Little Whore – Part 98

CLINT’s POV

When I returned to the hospital, I was swarmed with work. My secretary had not informed me of my busy schedule, and I suffered dearly.

I had cleared most of my schedule when I relaxed on the chair and slid my phone out of my pocket. Even though I had seen Keira a few hours ago, I still craved her presence. I knew it was selfish of me, but I wanted her to spend the night in my house, on my bed.

I lazily tapped on my phone screen as I decided to call Keira, but my heart sank at what I saw when the screen came to life. There were approximately sixty-eight missed calls from one person. Keira.

I frowned as I gazed at my screen. Why would Keira call so many times? Was everything okay? The last question hit me like a blow. She would not spam me with so many calls if everything was fine.

Knowing Keira, something was definitely wrong. Whenever Keira was distressed, I was the first person she contacted. Anxiety struck me like an arrow, and fear dawned on me.

Keira had called me so many times because she was in distress. How would she be feeling right now after I completely ignored her calls?

I grabbed my car keys and breezed out of the office. I loosened my tie the moment I hopped into my car and let out a sigh of relief. I slammed my hands on the steering wheel and muttered curses.

Regret washed over me. I desperately wished I could turn back the hands of time and return to when Keira’s first call came through. I felt weak and incompetent.

There was no time to wallow in my incompetence. I slammed the door to my car shut and turned on the engine. I sped down the road, paying no heed to the speed limit.

There was only one thing on my mind. And that was to get to Kiera.

°°°°°°°°°°

I quickly parked my car in front of Keira’s apartment building and jumped out. I dashed up to her door like a madman and pressed the small doorbell by the side. A melodious tune played for seconds, and after that, no one answered.

I pressed it again and waited for a response, but I got none.

“Shit,” I muttered as I pulled out my phone.

I called Keira and listened to it ring as fear filled my heart.

I was immediately redirected to voicemail, and it felt like my heart had stopped for a moment. Why was Keira not picking up my calls? What was she doing? Was she okay?

I knocked on the door. “Keira?” I bellowed loud enough, without thinking.

There was no response from within the apartment, and my mind felt like it would lose its sanity. I swung the door open without thinking, and the door was left unhinged.

I made my way into the apartment quietly and shut the front door right behind me.

I tip-toed into the living room and gazed at the empty space but saw no sign of life. My eyes turned away from the living room, and I walked up the stairs.

I walked up to the next door in my line of sight and knocked on the door softly. Keira had told me about her roommate, so it would not be wise of me to make a lot of noise. I had already entered their apartment without permission.

“Keira?” I called out softly, but there was no response.

My anxiety was removing every single ounce of patience I had in me. I cracked the door open slowly, hoping I would see Keira. My eyes met with a dark room.

Curious, I stepped in and looked around. The room was so dark it was hard to make out anything, even the furniture. I ran my fingers along the wall for the light switch until I felt it.

I flicked it on and looked around. My heart dropped when I saw Keira crouched at the very corner of the room, her legs raised to her chest and her head buried in her arms.

Why was she in that position?

The alarm rang through me, and I rushed to her side. I crouched down to her level and placed my hand over her head.

“Keira? What’s wrong? Why are you like this? Answer me,” I spewed.

Keira raised her head slowly, and my heart shattered when I saw the look on her face. Her eyes were swollen from a lot of crying. Her hair was a mess, and so was her make-up.

When our eyes met, hers went as wide as saucers. She blinked for a few seconds, and her mouth fell open.

When our eyes met, hers went as wide as saucers. She blinked for a few seconds, and her mouth fell open.

“Clint? Is that really you? Am I hallucinating?” She asked as her voice trembled.

“No, this is all real. I saw your calls. I am so sorry, I was busy and could not answer my phone,” I replied, my heart breaking with each word.

“Oh, it is all fine; you were busy at work. It is my fault for calling you so much, l-“

Keira’s voice broke, tears streaming down her eyes like a waterfall. I frowned and wrapped my hands around her, hugging he tightly.

“You are good now, baby. I am here; tell me what happened.”

Keira clutched onto me like I was her only lifeline.

“I got a text from him.”

“Do not tell me it was…” my palms were in a fist when she finished my sentence with his name.

“Calvin. But this text is different. He sent a photo,” she said in between sobs.

“A photo?”

Keira withdrew from me, wiping her eyes as she handed me her phone. I looked at the screen. It contained a picture. My b***d ran cold when I saw that the photo was of Keira.

“When did you get this text?” I said as I snapped my head up to her.

“An hour after you dropped me off at home,” she sobbed.

“Shit,” I cursed.

I looked at the sender, and to my disappointment, it was an unknown number. Well, of course, I expected no less from him. He could not jeopardize his location by sending this with his number.

My b***d began to boil with anger. This was enough to know that the bastard knew Keira’s location. He has been stalking her. But what could I do about this? How could I replace him? It seemed like an impossible task.

“I don’t know what to do, Clint,” Keira blurted out, tears filling her eyes.

I pulled her to me and held her closely. I could not let her get hurt again, no matter what.
