Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me -
Chapter 34 The Boss Was Back Her
"I do not want to ask him! I know there are lots of women around him but she is the first one that I spot in the company. Why is she so shameless?"
Louisa was irritated. "Where is the security guard? Called the security guard to peel her clothes off and throw her away."
Harriet originally planned to keep silent but she clenched her fists and threw the spatula directly in the pot when she heard what Louisa said. She turned off the fire and came out of the kitchen angrily. "Didn't you ask who I am? I have my name, Harriet."
"I do not care about your name."
Louisa was used to be peremptory and retorted her fast. She suddenly realized that the voice was familiar then she became angrier. "You? The woman on the phone that day was you."
"It's me."
Harriet admitted it frankly, "Do you have issues, Miss Jones?"
"How could you be so arrogant as you hook up with other girl's boyfriend? Bitch."
"I'll take it as praise." Harriet remained her calmness. "I think Miss Jones had better make efforts to stop your boyfriend from messing up with other women instead of calling the security to throw me away clothes-less."
Louisa was furious, "So it is my fault that let Wesley have lovers?"
"I didn't say so but you had an amazing ability to understand what I meant."
"You..."
Louisa almost lost her temper and wanted to slap Harriet's face by raising her hand.
Harriet was accustomed to this movement when she was acting in the crew. She quickly reacted before Louisa's hand fell on her face and pushed her hand away.
Louisa stumbled back forward and fell to the ground, saying out of shock, "You push me!"
Wesley just entered the room. He slightly changed his mood, "What's going on?"
Louisa immediately turned around and wept in tears, "Wesley, what's wrong with this woman? She's shameless and dare to push me!"
Wesley walked over and helped Louisa up, glancing at Harriet, "Jack, send Harriet back to the crew."
He didn't ask a word, just to appease his precious fiancée.
Harriet stood still, feeling extremely ridiculous. Her warmth and attachment to this man was destroyed by his coldness. Her limbs got more and more frozen.
That woman was his actual fiancée and she was just nobody.
"No need, I drove a car myself."
She turned back to the bedroom to change clothes, took the bag and left.
Wesley patted Louisa's shoulder to appease her, but his eyes fell on the kitchen workbench, gradually feeling guilty. There were still two golden poached eggs lying on the clean white porcelain plate. Harriet did not contact Wesley since she met Louisa in Pop Culture company and so did Wesley.
But she had been in the limelight recently and was busying with acting.
After the ending of the rumor, she got more fans. Many company presented scripts for her but most of them were not great works. Molly rejected them and just accepted some endorsements. "We must pick good scripts when you are more and more popular. You don't have to worry about anything but just focus on the current shooting. I will study a few shows in the spare schedules."
After finishing the work, Molly handed the new version of the script modified by the screenwriter to Harriet, "Harriet, this is the new script."
"Okay," Harriet stretched out, lying on the hotel sofa and flipping through the script. "It hasn't changed much; it's no different from the previous one."
"Oh, I have compared the new script with the old one and found that the intimate parts were deleted."
"Why?" Harriet sat up straightly.
"I don't know, but there will be a new actor coming tomorrow. I think he is the reason. His name is Keith Miller. There are lots of scenes about him in the script. He must be somebody." "Is he the third male protagonist?"
Harriet looked at Molly, "What's his background? I don't seem to hear of this person before."
"The colleague of the clothing group told me that he was only 17 years old and had just debuted. It seemed he have brought investments into the crew. It said that he was backed by a big boss." Harriet nodded thoughtfully.
Both actresses and actors could be backed by big fishes in the entertainment industry. Everything is possible here. The key was actors could be not only supported by female bosses but also be more popular among male bosses.
Harriet had some sympathy for the newly arrived young man when she thought about the boss issue. He was just a teenager but had been a lover of some bosses!
If not being helpless, who would be willing to live a life depending on others? She would not hook up with Wesley if she did not run out of money because of her mother's cancer and her vegetative brother. There are some things that people could not regret.
The agent's office in Pleasure Media was still lit late at night.
Charlene had no clear thought who would be the potential ones or who could be her communal benefits partner looking at the list of company artists in front of her.
She had been the agent of Harriet for almost two years. During the period, Wesley was backed up with continuous resources. Whatever she did was too handy. She thought that she would be more successful with the resources in her hand after Harriet had gone. She did not expect that Harriet could come back so soon while taking all the good resource to her with Kate's acquiescence.
Although she not really favored Harriet, she did have the ability to come back.
She was reading the contract when someone pushed in.
"Charlene, you are as dedicated as you are still working right now."
Charlene raised her head and saw Irene, frowning slightly, "Why do you came to the company at this moment?"
"I just finished recording a variety show, and I heard that Charlene has been worrying about choosing an artist so I came to recommend myself."
"Don't you have an agent already?"
"I want a smart and capable agent to get good resources. Just like Charlene, you also want to have an artist with greater development potential, right?"
Irene was the most promising artist among all the newly signed artists of the company. She had her own resources which made her a partner.
"But I want to know about one thing before we become partners."
"What do you want to know?"
"Who is the boss behind Harriet?"
Charlene looked at her deeply. "So you came here for this? Why? Haven't you given up yet?"
Irene and Harriet did not get along well with each other. Everyone Pleasure Media knew about this. The previous spreading rumor about Harriet being someone's lover was directed by her. There was already gossip in the company.
"She always makes troubles for me and even steals my role. I cannot bear her anymore."
"I advise you just let it go. She could not only grab your heroine role, but also retreat from the rumor you made. She is not a little girl who does not know the world."
She had been Harriet's agent for two years after all. Charlene was very clear about the temperament of her. Harriet seemed to be easy to get along with but she was actually a tough guy as she would definitely revenge against who harmed her.
"That's because there is someone supporting her! I just want to know who is so capable of protecting her. If I know it, I will replace the evidence to expose her and make her lose her job in this industry." "That's impossible, unless you want to lose your job. You won't expose him even though I tell you who he is."
