Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode -
Chapter 1951
He always respected Mommy's wishes. If she wanted to go somewhere, they would go. Just like those two marriage certificates-if she wanted to see them, she could. As long as Mommy was happy, he was all in.
Zoey felt a jolt through her body. She wanted to go up, but deep inside, there was resistance. It felt like stepping in would tear open a crack in their current bliss. After overhearing a few of Fitch's calls, unease had already started nesting in her heart. A man like Fitch couldn't fall for someone at first sight, yet he had been incredibly proactive with her.
Zoey wasn't naive. Maybe they had known each other before, just as he mentioned, having had some kind of relationship. But he avoided diving into what it was specifically. He had pulled all stops to be with her now; had he done the same to drive her away back then? She dared not dwell on it.
Zoey was smart. Four years had sharpened her senses. She had given Fitch a chance, but he lacked honesty. Ian was patient, noticing she hadn't regained her memory. With Nolan calling her Mommy, it seemed her relationship with Fitch had made significant progress. Fitch probably didn't know about her being here now.
Didn't lan know his brother well enough after all these years? When Fitch didn't care, he was ruthless, but once he cared, he became obsessively protective. Zoey was hidden away. Until she loved him deeply, he wouldn't let her out into the world. Zoey must've sneaked out, sensing something was off.
The three stood in silence for ten minutes until lan glanced at his wristwatch. "Zoey, wanna go up and take a look?" Her heart skipped a beat. She hadn't introduced herself, yet this man knew her name. They must have known each other before. Her face went pale, a sharp pain spreading suddenly.
lan frowned, noticing her discomfort. "If you don't want to go up, maybe rest at the café next door?" Zoey gave a small smile. "Okay, thank you." Ian almost walked through the revolving glass door but stopped, pondering. "Should I tell the others you're back? If you'd rather not, I won't say a word."
This confirmed Zoey's suspicions. She indeed had deep connections with this place. But she wasn't ready yet. "No need, I'll just rest for a bit, thank you." She fled, holding Nolan, towards the café next door. lar didn't stop her. Some things were better left to unfold naturally.
Upon reaching the café, Zoey felt breathless, her breathing heavy. She placed Nolan next to her, ordering two cups of hot water. She took a gulp, her eyes reddening. Nolan reached out, gently holding her hand. "Mommy?" His voice was filled with worry, his nose a bit stuffy. What's wrong with Mommy?
Zoey quickly looked away, fearing her tears would fall if she said more. Feeling utterly defeated was the last thing she wanted, especially not understanding why she was breaking down. Not wanting to scare her child, she diverted her gaze. "It's okay, Mommy's fine."
Just then, she heard a shrill voice. "Zoey, you wretch, I've finally found you!!"
