Chapter 670

Erlinda was on pins and needles, especially when she saw that Maja was fully engrossed in reading the script, her

heart swelled with guilt.

A few minutes later, Maja put down the script and said,

“Erlinda, I heard you’re top of your class?”

Erlinda nodded, her eyes instantly brimming with tears, hands clenching tightly together, lips trembling slightly.

Maja sighed.

“This doesn’t seem like something you would produce. I’ve checked your grades, you’ve been top of your class

since day one, and all your teachers praise your ideas. But this script lacks that wow factor.”

Erlinda hung her head; her voice hoarse,

“Penny, this is the best I can offer, I,”

Before she could finish her sentence, Nolan’s voice came from behind.

“Erlinda, Penny, you’re here?”

Maja looked up, seeing Nolan approaching.

A few students, boys and girls, were following him. They didn’t know–Maja, so they remained silent.

Maja stood up, smiling at Nolan.

“Professor Smith, I’m here just to get a feel of the atmosphere here at Skyrim Film Academy. These students with

you, they’re all drama majors, right? They all look very promising.”

Those students were indeed drama majors, and Nolan was well–liked among the student.

His scripts were now highly sought after by various investors, and he had a wide network. Coupled with a group of

script–writing students, his resources were abundant.

Many current stars had shot to fame overnight because of his scripts.

If Nolan took a liking to a drama major student, allowing him to star in his next script, that student could almost

certainly secure a spot as an A-lister. That just showed how popular Nolan was.

Nolan chuckled, gently patting Erlinda’s shoulder.

“Has Erlinda given you her script? If you’re satisfied with it, you two should have a good chat.”

The surrounding students understood immediately. Nolan was trying to secure investment for his student.

Professor Smith was such a good guy.

“I’ve already read it, there are a few points I would like to discuss with Erlinda. Glad I ran into you, Professor Smith.”

“How about we go to my office for a chat, if you don’t mind?”

“Sure.”

Maja glanced at Erlinda, who had become even more silent since Nolan’s arrival, the color drained from her face.

Maja grasped Erlinda’s hand, but Erlinda was so frightened that she immediately shook it off.

The atmosphere instantly became awkward, but Nolan quickly took the initiative to ease the tension.

“Erlinda is pretty introverted, so she doesn’t mingle much. She spends most of her time focusing on her script–

writing, therefore, she is not good at handling interpersonal relationships. Don’t take it to heart.”

Maja kept silent. She had already done her homework on Nolan, but what surprised her was how good his

reputation was among the students.

Almost no one had a bad word to say about him.

But sometimes, when a person was too perfect, it can seem unreal.

“Professor Smith, shall we head to your office now?”

Nolan briefly talked to the other drama majors, then led Maja and Erlinda to his office.

Seeing the special attention Nolan gave to Erlinda, the other students couldn’t help but feel jealous.

If they could truly earn the favor of an investor, future royalties from scripts could easily reach hundreds of

thousands.

Upon arriving at Nolan’s office, he placed a chair in front of Maja and gestured for Erlinda to sit on a small sofa.

Just a week ago, she was forcefully pinned down on this very sofa by Nolan.

Every corner of this office bore the traces of Nolan’s bullying.

But she didn’t dare to protest, she just stared at her toes, sitting nervously.

Nolan knew exactly what Erlinda was thinking of and sneered internally. Her psychological pressure would only

increase once she was in this office.

He poured Maja a cup of coffee.

“Ms. Penny, are you somewhat dissatisfied with Erlinda’s script? She hasn’t been in a good state recently.”

Maja’s gaze fell on Erlinda, sensing that the girl seemed to have some unspoken issues.

Maja and Nolan briefly discussed the script. As she was about to leave, Nolan advised Erlinda to stay, “Look at the

scripts from your classmates, they’re all on my desk. Find some inspiration, revise yours, and then give it to Ms.

Penny.”

Erlinda kept quiet and nodded.

After Maja left, Nolan returned to the office, closed the door, grabbed Erlinda and forcefully pressed her onto the

chair where Maja had just been sitting.

“Erlinda, were you planning on telling Maja something if I hadn’t run into you today?”

Erlinda was shaking all over, feeling like she was about to throw up.

Nolan was done quickly this time, giving her a few satisfied slaps.

He carefully controlled his strength, not leaving any marks on her face.

Every time this happened, Erlinda would throw up.

The more pain she was in, the more satisfied Nolan was.

This represented his absolute control over her, she didn’t dare to entertain any thoughts of resistance.

“You’re throwing up again, aren’t you used to this after so many times? Feynman called me again, he has high

expectations of you, Erlinda. You can’t do anything to disappoint your parents. Otherwise, how would their

colleagues look at them? Your parents have high hopes for you.”

That’s the root of the pain.
