Chapter 931

Holden seemed to know she was coming, inviting her to sit down with a big grin on his face.

“Maja, how are you feeling these days?”

Seeing that Holden was doing okay, Maja let out a sigh of relief.

“Grandpa Holden, how about a game of chess?”

Holden raised an eyebrow, then replied with a chuckle, “Sure.”

The butler immediately set up the chessboard.

Maja sat up straight, picked up a piece, and made the first move.

Holden was a chess whiz and knew Maja wasn’t a pushover either, so he asked, “Are you serious about this?”

Maja didn’t respond, and she just stared at the board.

After a while, she captured one of Holden’s pieces.

Seeing her steady and powerful style, Holden quickly adjusted his strategy.

He also started to take this match seriously.

In the end, when each player only had five pieces left, Maja finally put down her piece.

“Grandpa Holden, I want you to give lan 15% of your shares.”

Holden countered at this point, his tone mild, “Maja, you lost.”

Maja glanced at the remaining pieces on the board and nodded. “Yes, I lost.”

“You know, Jan wouldn’t even dare ask me for this.”

“I know.”

Maja lowered her head, slowly putting the pieces back into their box.

“Grandpa Holden, my company is starting to take off, and I know what I’m asking for is a bit much, but I’m willing to

trade you 50% of the Star Movie Group’s shares. I know Star Movie Group is just a small fish compared to the

Raymond Group, but I will make it a top entertainment company. I believe the value of 50% of Star Movie Group’s

shares will not be less than 15% of Raymond Group’s shares in the future.”

With that, she took out a share transfer agreement she had already signed, her expression blank.

“Within half a year, I will have Star Movie Group acquire Simstar Entertainment!

Simstar Entertainment’s manager, Funfly, had a bad reputation, but Simstar Entertainment’s influence in the

country was not to be underestimated. Even though its development had declined in recent years, its network of

connections was something Maja couldn’t match.

Maja was indeed a bit overconfident to say this but she looked deadly serious.

Holden picked up the transfer agreement, glanced at it, then put it back down.

“Add one more condition, and I’ll agree.”

A glint appeared in Maja’s eyes, and her face softened.

“Grandpa Holden, tell me.”

“Give the Raymond family a great–grandson within two years.”

Maja’s smile froze, she started to say something, then closed her mouth again.

Holden asked the butler to bring in some coffee, his tone even more gentle.

“Take your time to think about it. After all, your promise of Star Movie Group’s shares is just your word, nobody

knows how the company will develop. What I want is simple; I’m old and I just want to hold a great–grandchild.”

Maja didn’t speak, and she only stared at the chessboard.

As she left the Raymond Mansion, she sneezed.

As soon as she got in the car, her phone rang. It was Jeff calling to ask if she was still going to visit lan tonight.

“Jeff, I’m a bit wiped out. I’ll go over in the morning.”

Jeff glanced at the person waiting next to him and said, “Alright, I’ll tell the boss, he’s still waiting for you.”

Hearing this, Maja felt a little sad.

“I’ll go check on Coco at the hospital first, then I’ll come over.”

Jeff noticed Maja was really soft–hearted.

Just a hint, and she would be affected.

She cared about the boss’s feelings, maybe she didn’t even realize it herself.

“Okay, Ms. Pennyfeather, have you had dinner yet? The boss hasn’t eaten yet, if you haven’t eaten, he might wait

for you.”

Maja was speechless for a moment, it was already late, and lan hadn’t had dinner yet?

What was he doing?

She took a deep breath. I’ll call the vet first to ask about Coco, then I’ll come over.”

Jeff gave a small smile and said, “Alright, I’ll have the kitchen keep the food warm.” After hanging up, he neatly

arranged the files next to him.

“Boss, Ms. Pennyfeather will be here soon.”

lan seemed to cheer up a bit.

Forty minutes later.

Maja arrived as promised, confidently carrying a tray full of food into lan’s bedroom.

Just as she was feeding lan, the doorbell rang downstairs.

After a while, Jeff came up, sounding a bit surprised.

“Boss, Holden sent over the share transfer agreement, he transferred all 15% of his shares to you.”

Ian frowned. Why would his grandfather suddenly transfer shares to him?

He looked at Maja, puzzled.

“Do you think grandpa suddenly went crazy?”

Maja was focused on stirring the food in the bowl, blowing on it gently before bringing it to his lips.

“Maybe he heard about your bet.”

lan looked down, this wasn’t like his grandfather’s style.
