Dear Ex-wife Marry Me Novel Full Episode -
Chapter 936
Chapter 936
After Omar took off, Cornelia was quick to dial up Maja.
“Ms. Pennyfeather, you need to keep an eye on the Casson family, especially that Omar. He claims he’s going to
continue to bug you for what Mr. Raymond did to Alma. He’s a low–down dirty player, not your average Joe.”
Despite burning the midnight oil at work, Maja didn’t bat an eyelid hearing this,
She knew the score with Omar; he’s brash, so ballsy he’d shoot someone in broad daylight, which showed he didn’t
have a lick of respect for the law or
morality.
“Gotcha, Cornelia. Be careful yourself, don’t rub elbows with that kind too much
Maja hung up and checked the time; it was already eight in the evening.
She hadn’t had dinner yet. She called up the pet hospital to check if Coco was on the mend before letting out a sigh
of relief.
With work up to her eyeballs and figuring out how to deal with Simstar Entertainment, she totally spaced on her
promise to meet lan tonight.
Back at Rosewood Manor, Maria was still bellyaching about lan’s behavior.
“How could Mr. Raymond fancy a woman like that?”
lan had Darlene escorted out of Rosewood Manor last time, and with Coco still at the vet’s, Maria was still stewing
about it.
And then thinking about Maja being married to him for three years, even though they’re divorced now, it’s a kick in
the teeth that anyone can now push Rosewood Manor around. Maria felt it was a raw deal for Maja.
But Maria was all bark, no bite, didn’t bring it up in front of Maja, and didn’t want to upset her.
Maja was in her study, dealing with company matters, and was about to call a meeting when she saw Shawn’s flight
information for tonight in the company chát group. He’d be here in half an hour.
Shawn had been shooting abroad for over a month, about time he came back.
Inside the Star Movie Group chat, Zoey asked, “Should we throw a welcome–back party for Shawn tonight? After all,
it’s his first time back after being in Hollywood.”
Wilma was quick to chime in, “I’m in!”
Since Star Movie Group was established, everyone’s been run ragged. Wilma just finished shooting PHOENIX and
was giving her all to the company’s current production. Next, she’d be off to Hollywood to play her part. Tonight was
a rare night off for everyone.
Then Zoey added, “I called Shawn before he boarded, he said he wanted to grab a bite.”
So, everyone in the chat started asking Maja for her opinion.
Maja didn’t want to rain on their parade, so she recommended a bar.
Not BlueSky Bar. Even though it’s members only, the minimum spend there was upwards of five grand. So,
everyone in the group was quick to agree.
*Ms. Pennyfeather’s a big spender!”
Thanks, boss.”
Maja quickly put on some light makeup and arrived there just in time for half past nine.

Most of the crew were already there, including Wilma, Elvis, Zoey, and Cornelia, while tonight’s main man, Shawn,
had just gotten off the plane and was on
his way.
Wilma was the life of the party, she quickly grabbed the menu and started ordering drinks.
“I don’t have work tomorrow, can I drink tonight, Ms. Pennyfeather?”
Maja found the question amusing: “Sure, but if you’re going to get wasted and lose your mind, better not.”
Wilma shot a glance at Elvis. She knew Maja got her meaning and was thrilled that workaholic Elvis agreed to come
out tonight. She decided it was time to wear her heart on her sleeve!
She took a deep breath, her hands clutching the drink menu tightly. “Ms. Pennyfeather, how much am I allowed to
spend on drinks?”
“Whatever you want.”
At this, everyone cheered.
Just as the cheers died down, in walked Shawn, but the first person he laid his eyes on was Maja.
Maja was only 24 this year, and even though she was the boss, she was well–liked in this group.
Shawn took one look at her and instantly got butterflies in his stomach. He quickly turned to the others to fill them
in on his recent happenings.
Cornelia was about to join a Hollywood film crew. She sat next to Shawn, hoping to get some pointers.
After a few words with Cornelia, Shawn’s gaze landed on Maja, sitting all by herself in a corner.
The look of love was hard to hide.
But Maja was the most collected and stable of the group. Perhaps she didn’t want her status to affect their mood,
so she called over the manager, paid for the drinks, and sat quietly in the corner.
Shawn mustered the courage, picked up a glass of wine, and walked over to Maja.
Ms. Pennyfeather, thank you for this opportunity.”
Maja paused for a few seconds, then raised her glass, smiled, and said, “No need to be so formal.”
Shawn took a few sips of his wine. Seeing her quietly sipping hers, he sat down next to her.
Zoey pretended not to notice. As Maja’s assistant, she was responsible for looking after everyone.
Because Wilma was the most bubbly, talkative, and youngest in the group, everyone treated her like a little sister.
Zoey poured Wilma a few glasses of juice, then saw a tipsy Wilma leaning into Elvis.
Zoey looked at the bottle of juice in her hand, walked over, and pulled Wilma away.
Wilma was still playing drunk. Zoey said, “At least have some booze first before playing drunk, I’ve been pouring
you juice! Doesn’t Elvis know?”
