I lean on the black leather couch in the center of the room in Luca’s gothic style mansion. He paces around the room. The day of the dinner party, the Falcones somehow kidnapped Nico, our hacker, from his home. Since then, we’ve been busy scoping out all the places we could think of where they may hide him. So far… nothing.

It’s been two weeks, but we haven’t received a body yet, so it’s likely he’s still alive. The Falcones would never pass up an opportunity to gloat on the fact they finally got one over on us.

“We need to show them just how easy it is for us to pluck one of theirs off the street,” Luca says, still storming around the house.

“So we do just that.”

It won’t be hard. The Falcones are sloppy, yes, they have numbers but no real skill. Taking Nico probably took months of planning.

“We need to lure them out. Marco is fucking psychotic. I mean, where the fuck is he getting all these men from? Every time we take them out, they seem to fucking respawn.” He seethes.

“Look, we can’t underestimate them. Not after what they did with Sienna. They might be sloppy, but they have numbers. We’ve disarmed every attack up to this point. Now we need to show him we have access to anyone close to him. We send a threat, and in return, demand Nico’s return?”

One wrong move and Nico’s life will be at stake. The Falcones might be clueless, but they are more dangerous that way.

“How about you get close to his precious cousin, Eva? She’s a wild card, mind you. Take her out on some dates, and that will lure them out. Then we can get our message across.”

Great. Take a Falcone out on dates. Just what I need!

As if sensing my displeasure, he says, “It won’t be that difficult for you. She is smoking hot.”

I’m only interested in that fiery blonde bombshell that seems to steal all of my thoughts.

“Fine, I’ll turn on the charm and see what I can do.” I huff, reaching for my coffee on the table.

“Oh, come on, it won’t be that bad. You look like you could do with a good fuck anyway.” He chuckles.

He’s not wrong. Even if I did, it won’t change the fact it still wouldn’t help. Not unless I can finally get Maddie out of my system. Which won’t be happening.

“Any suspicious activities around the drug shipments last night?” I change the subject.

“No, it seems to have calmed down on that front.”

Great. At least we have one part of the business under control.
