"Ah!" Jennifer screamed.

She covered her cheek in disbelief, glared at Angela, and scolded, "How dare you slap me!"

As she finished speaking, Angela slapped her again.

"Jennifer, I didn't bother to argue with you about your little tricks before. But now, it seems you thought I was afraid of you." Jennifer was furious and almost went crazy. She was slapped twice in a row by Angela and couldn't hold back her anger.

She charged forward, intending to slap Angela, but Angela swiftly seized her wrist and forcefully pushed her back. Jennifer's back collided with the kitchen counter, and the sharp pain prompted an involuntary cry.

Angela looked at her coldly. "It seems that those two slaps just now haven't woken you up yet."

Seeing Angela approaching her, Jennifer bit her lower lip. She knew that she was no match for her, feeling fear unconsciously.

Just as Angela stood in front of Jennifer, the kitchen door was pushed open.

Jennifer's eyes lit up with surprise when she saw Kenneth at the door.

"Kenneth, help me. I just accidentally knocked over the meal that Angela made, but Angela slapped me twice and didn't let me go..." Seeing Jennifer's tearful look, Angela sneered and delivered two more slaps, causing Jennifer's face to swell instantly.

Angela raised an eyebrow and said, "Now, go ahead and complain."

Jennifer hated Angela and wanted to kill her immediately.

"Kenneth, I really didn't mean it... I just wanted to help Angela..."

Angela looked at Jennifer with a cold face and snorted, "If you keep speaking in such a voice, I might give you two more slaps then." Jennifer dared not to speak upon hearing this.

Standing at the door, Kenneth couldn't help but frown and said coldly, "Angela, Jennie is your sister. Don't go too far."

Angela shot him a cold, emotionless look. "If you don't discipline her, I'll go really far, I swear."

After saying that, she walked out of the kitchen.

When she passed by Kenneth, he suddenly took her hand.

Angela frowned and was about to shake his hand away when Kenneth's cold voice reached her ear. "Why didn't you tell me that your arms are injured?" Angela lowered her gaze and glanced at the blisters on her arms. She didn't care about them at all.

"It has nothing to do with you."

"Go and sit on the sofa. Where is the medicine kit?"

Angela pulled her hand off Kenneth's and looked at him impatiently. "Rather than worrying about me, you should be concerned about Jennifer." After saying that, she turned around and left directly.

Kenneth stared at her back with cold eyes.

He could feel that although Angela agreed to care for him, she had no intention of reconciling with him.

She still wanted a divorce.

"Kenneth..."

Jennifer's soft voice reached his ear. Kenneth turned around and saw Jennifer looking at him aggrievedly with tears in her eyes.

But her cheeks were red and swollen. Her aggrieved expression didn't add a pitiable temperament to her but made her look a bit funny.

Kenneth's expression immediately darkened. He stared at Jennifer and said, "What's going on?"

He understood Angela's character to a certain extent. As long as others didn't provoke her, she wouldn't embarrass others.

Jennifer suddenly felt even more aggrieved when she saw that Kenneth was not on her side.

"Kenneth, I just wanted to help Angela take the meal out, but I didn't expect that I would accidentally knock it over. Angela thought I did it on purpose and slapped me..." Kenneth was silent for a while and said, "I see. You can go."

Jennifer looked at him in disbelief. She thought, 'Angela slapped me. Why didn't he get back at her for me?'

"Okay, I'll come to see you another day. Kenneth, don't blame Angela. I wanted to help, but I caused more trouble and Angela is angry. I don't blame her."

Kenneth looked calm, and there were no emotions in his deep eyes. Jennifer left aggrievedly.

Kenneth rummaged in the living room for a while and finally found the medicine kit.

He went into the bedroom in his wheelchair. Angela had just rinsed her arms with cold water and came out of the bathroom. When she saw the medicine kit in Kenneth's hand, she was a little surprised. She thought, 'Shouldn't Kenneth be comforting Jennifer now?'

Kenneth said, "Come here, I'll apply medicinal ointment on your arms."

Meeting his calm gaze, Angela stood there for a while before walking up to him.

"Give me the medicine kit. I'll do it myself."

Kenneth's face turned cold. "It's not convenient for you to do it. I'll help you."

Angela said indifferently, "Forget it. It will be fine in a few days anyway."

Seeing Angela turning around and about to leave, Kenneth felt somewhat anger in his heart and said coldly, "Stop."

He handed the medical kit to Angela. The chill emanated from his gaze showed that he was angry.

Angela took the medicine kit and left the bedroom without even looking at Kenneth.

Kenneth left the bedroom in his wheelchair. Angela was sitting on the sofa and applying medicine. When she saw her arms were red and swollen, his eyes turned gloomy.

"Why did you give Jennifer four slaps today?"

Angela raised an eyebrow and glanced at Kenneth, saying with a sarcastic smile, "Are you feeling distressed for her? Then don't meet her here in the future. As long as I can't see her, you can do whatever you want."

Kenneth frowned, adding coldly, "Even if Jennifer did it on purpose, two slaps are enough."

Angela paused for a moment, looked up at Kenneth, and said, "The other two slaps are the punishment to Jennifer. She rigged my horse at the racecourse that day. I'm a vengeful person. If you really feel so distressed, you can take the punishment for her next time."

Kenneth asked, "What about me? I wronged you at the racecourse that day. How do you intend to get back at me?"

Angela lowered her gaze, applied medicine to her arm, and threw the cotton swab into the trash can. Then, she looked up at Kenneth.

"You can slap yourself twice if you want. It didn't cause any actual harm to me that you wronged me that day, so there's no need for me to get back at you because of a few words."

After saying that, Angela packed up the medical kit and was about to leave.

Kenneth grabbed her hand and said in a low voice, "Angela, you agreed to stay in the villa to take care of me. Isn't it because you still have feelings for me?"

Angela didn't know how he came to this conclusion. She looked at him with a puzzled face, frowned, and said, "You are overthinking it. You also said that you were in a car accident because you were going to the Courthouse. I have an obligation to care for you."

Another reason was that Kenneth had an accident because of a feud between Angela and Quentin. In a way, Kenneth had also been implicated.

Kenneth stared into her eyes, trying to replace signs of lying in her eyes.

But Angela just looked at him calmly. There was nothing more than indifference in her beautiful eyes.

For some reason, Kenneth was a little disappointed.

Releasing Angela's hand, he said in frustration, "Perfect. I won't like you. I hope you know your place."
