From day to day Anna seems to be avoiding JC even more. Since Jeanette Knightley's visit to JC's treatment room, the girl seemed to have built a thick wall between herself and JC. Doctor Annastacia visited that popstar in the morning in JC's treatment room.

However, it only lasted a short time without a conversation outside of the patient's condition history with the doctor. JC's request for Anna to visit him every afternoon was never done either. By the seventh postoperative day, the stitches on JC's back were dry and closed. Now the young man can sit at the head of the patient's bed, he doesn't have to lie on his stomach anymore.

That morning, Anna did her morning patient visit because the young doctor's apprentices were changing clerkship. The hospital was very busy so Anna didn't ask the nurse to accompany her to visit the post-surgery treatment rooms. "Good morning, Jason. How are you?" said Doctor Annastacia while holding the data file board on the patient's recovery progress in her hand.

"Morning, Anna. I'm not doing so well because you keep avoiding me. What's the matter?" answered JC with a serious face.

Anna stared at each other silently with JC. She felt uncomfortable talking about personal matters at work. She also said, "Because things get back to normal. I'll give you a letter from the hospital today, Jason."

JC's face was filled with anger because he felt that Anna had been so blatantly ignored. He got up from the patient's bed and grabbed Anna's arm. "Don't dodge my question, Anna!" he exclaimed. "Jason ... you scare me," said Anna slapping JC's hand on her arm.

However, JC didn't want to let go of Anna and instead pulled her into his arms. "Do I have to tell you openly that I love you, Anna? I've sent all the hints to you and they seem useless. What is your heart made of that it can't be touched by love?"

"You're a bitch, Jason. Hahaha. The lyrics of your love song are amazing, but love is not just words. You already have Jeanette, so let me go now," answered Anna with a dry laugh.

"Jesus. Oh my God! The woman I love doubts my feelings. Jean is nothing to me, Anna. She's a set girlfriend from the management artist who overshadowed us to raise her prestige," said JC, ruffling his hair in a high tone as if he lost his temper.

"I'm engaged to Doctor John Baldere. Do you remember the man I met at Rosalyn Stuart's party?" Anna answered as she was so that JC didn't expect much from their relationship.

JC was flabbergasted as if he couldn't believe his ears. "Say it one more time, Anna," he pleaded.

"I'm engaged to Doctor John Bardere. Look at this ring on my ring finger," Anna repeated as she raised her palm where a gold ring with a single 5 mm diamond was pinned on her ring finger.

JC's face turned away from Anna's, his feeling was so hurt because Anna's new status had already belonged to another man. He wondered when they got engaged, but it didn't matter as his heart was already breaking at this point.

"Okay, we understand each other's position, don't we? I will process your permission to go home from the hospital, Jason. Goodbye," Anna said in a flat tone. Even though there was a strange feeling that pierced her heart. She didn't know if she also had more feelings for Jason Channing.

Anna stepped out of the JC treatment room firmly. She doesn't like to make simple things complicated. Even with John, she still didn't feel any deeper feelings. Her job as a surgeon is still a priority in her life. Arriving at the lobby floor, Anna asked the patient administration department to make a discharge letter from the hospital for Jason Channing. She felt she would never meet the handsome pop star again.

"Doctor Anna, you are needed in the ER. A new patient came with a right thigh injury who was bleeding profusely," said the ER nurse that day, Nurse Marry.

Immediately Anna ran into the elevator to the 1st floor where ER was. Adrenaline in her blood increased along with the emergency case she received. "Submit the patient's current condition data!" cried Doctor Annastacia firmly. A file was handed into Anna's hands. She immediately read the file and saw the x-ray of the patient's thigh. It was an open fracture in the right femur. The fracture angle is good enough according to her to be reconnected with titanium plates. "Please prepare a blood bag with blood type A rhesus +, the patient is bleeding heavily. I don't want hypovolemic shock in the middle of doing orthopedic surgery," Doctor Annastacia ordered the ER nurse on duty.

"Who is the orthopedic surgeon who will handle this case?" she asked.

"Doctor Benedict Longheart," replied Nurse Marry.

"Okay, I'll get ready," said Anna rushing into the OK preparation room.

After wearing sterile clothes, disposable masks, head caps, and latex gloves, Anna went into OK 1 room. As usual, everyone was tense. This time she accompanied Doctor Benedict Longheart as a surgical cooperator because he is an orthopedic specialist, while Anna is a general surgeon.

"Good morning, Doctor Ben. Ready to start?" said Anna confidently.

"Morning, Doctor Annastacia. We are working together again, please start cleaning the wound and the initial incision," answered Doctor Benedict who was 10 years above Anna.

Doctor Annastacia's hands deftly cleaned the contaminants in the area of the gaping wound on the patient's bloody red thigh. She washed it with sterile NS fluid. When it was clean of all contaminants, Anna tied up the blood vessels that were the source of the bleeding and then used a scalpel knife to open the layers of skin and muscle underneath with the help of the surgical resident who clamped layer by layer with allis forceps.

"Doc, the major wound has been found. Please start the reconstruction of the femur," said Anna while swapping places with Doctor Benedict.

Doctor Benedict immediately checked the angle of the fractured femur and positioned it correctly as it was before the fracture. He asked Doctor Annastacia to hold the bone while he attached the titanium plate and screws to the surface of the bone so that the center cavity of the Femur bone would not shift.

The electric screwdriver buzzed, causing the whole OK room to ache as Doctor Benedict drilled into his patient's bones. Meanwhile, Anna calmly watched each process. She also knows how, but she is not an orthopedic specialist. Maybe next time she wants to go to school again, the orthopedic specialist branch is quite interesting. Orthopedic specialists work like a handyman with saws, drills, and carpentry tools in an elegant way.

When all the screws had been securely fastened with platinum plates along the fractured femur, Doctor Benedict asked Doctor Annastacia to reclose the layer of muscle and skin she had incised with neat stitches. It was a very easy thing for Anna, everything was in sterile conditions so as not to cause infection due to contamination.

After being washed with sterile NS fluid, Anna started the stitches. In 20 minutes all the stitches from the inside to the outer shell were executed.

"Done. Thank you, Doctor Ben and everyone, the operation went smoothly. Monitor the patient's condition post-surgery and report to me when the patient is awake," said Doctor Annastacia with her standard message after the surgery. "Well done, Doctor Anna. You did a great job!" praised Doctor Benedict.
