Doctor Annastacia's Love Scandal
Jocelyn and Max's Wedding

This may be Annastacia's first time after years of working as a surgeon at Wyndham International Hospital. Doctors Harry Laurens and Adeline Thomson replaced Anna's shift for the next 2 days. Today is Jocelyn's proposal ceremony, while tomorrow is the wedding vows-taking ceremony which will be followed by a simple wedding banquet in the Brighton family's backyard.

The group from Max Brury's family arrived exactly at 10:00 AM. Max's parents, Max's older brother, and Max's aunts and uncles, who were 4, came to the Brighton family's house.

Mr. Philip Brighton and Mrs. Elaine Brighton with Ezra, the eldest son of the Brighton family welcomed the Brury family entourage and ushered them into the family room which had been arranged with rented chairs for the meeting. Meanwhile, Anna accompanied Jocelyn to her room to wait until the conversation about the marriage proposal was approved by both families.

"Good morning Mr. Phillip and Mrs. Elaine. I am Albert Brury on behalf of the family, we would like to propose to your daughter, Miss Jocelyn Brighton for my youngest son Maximilian Brury. Would any of the Brighton family accept this marriage proposal?" Max's father said politely.

Philip and Elaine exchanged glances and then Elain nodded her head while patting the back of her husband's hand.

"Okay, Mr. Albert. We have discussed this with Jocy before, she said that she wants to marry Max. We as parents can only give our blessing and tell Max to take good care of our daughter," replied Jocelyn's father while looking at the father and son alternate.

"Sure, Mr. Philip. I'll take care of Jocy. We've known each other for a long time since we were at St. Peter's High School," Max said trying to reassure his future in-laws.

Elaine smiled gracefully and said, "Maybe it's time we call Jocelyn to come down here. I'll call her in a minute." She also went up to pick up her two daughters on the 2nd floor. "Knock ... knock ... knock!"

Elaine poked her head out of Jocelyn's door. "Come on down now, Ladies!" invite her.

The two beautiful daughters of the Brighton family followed their mother down to the 1st floor and then into the living room which was full of members from the Brury and Brighton families.

Max's admiring gaze fell on Jocelyn. His future wife was very charming in her elegant magenta red slim-fit satin party dress. Jocelyn sat next to Anna's chair and her mother faced the Bruries. She let go of her beautiful smile with a row of neat white teeth at Max who looked at him with warm sparkling eyes.

The Bruries whispered in admiration of the beauty of Max's future wife. It seems that Max is very good at choosing a future wife besides being beautiful, Jocelyn is also an Obsgyn specialist.

"Perhaps it is time for both of them to put on engagement rings before tomorrow's wedding vows, Mr. and Mrs. Brighton," suggested Mrs. Margareth Brury, Max's mother.

"Okay, let's just start the procession. Max stands opposite Jocy in the middle," said Philip Brighton as he looked at Jocelyn and motioned for her to approach Max.

Finally, the lovers paired each other's rings on each other's ring fingers in turn. A classic gold ring with a beautiful 3-lined diamond in the center. Max kissed Jocelyn's hand as he looked at her with sparkling eyes. The girl replied with a genuine smile filled with happiness.

"I love you, Jocy!" Max whispered in Jocelyn's ear.

"Love you too, Maxie!" Jocelyn replied quietly.

The next event was a friendly lunch in the Brighton family dining room buffet style with a standing party. They talk to each other to familiarize the two families who will be together soon.

The following morning was very busy since early morning, Annastacia helping with all the preparations for the party in the Brighton backyard. She checked the decorations and greeted the party caterers who were starting to arrive. Annastacia wore an off-shoulder chiffon dress in bright yellow along the ankles with accents of small flowers that adorned the chest to the belly of the dress. A pair of 10 cm high heels in silver complete her elegant look. Her wavy hair was flown in a braid framing from the right and left of her head, which was pulled back together. Anna didn't dress her face with too heavy make-up, she just applied bronze eyeshadow and peach blossom blush to her cheekbones. Her favorite strawberry lipstick completes her simple makeup.

Aunt Audrey, Annastacia's mother's sister helped her set the dining table as well as a round table with white cloth for the guests. Meanwhile, Anna is still busy with the stage decorations for the wedding blessing as well as the aisle which is installed above the medium-sized swimming pool in the backyard of the house.

The white and pink fabrics that adorn the aisle roof are waving in the cool morning breeze. The fresh flowers that adorn the pillars of the roof of the stage emit a sweet, fragrant aroma into the air.

Anna felt so light and cheerful that morning. She joked cheerfully with the decoration crew as she watched them finish the aisle stage decorations. Her eyes looked around the backyard which was decorated with standing pots filled with vibrant red, yellow, pink, white, and purple flowers.

From behind, John hugged Anna's waist and kissed her cheek. "Morning, Anna. You are so beautiful and fragrant," said John in his deep bass voice.

Anna was a little surprised, but she also got used to John's presence. He turned his body to face the man. "Hi, John. You're handsome in that tuxedo too. It's so early in the morning? The show's only starting in 2 hours, is it okay to wait that long?" she said.

"Perhaps I can help get busy here, Anna. Is there anything you still need to prepare for the next event?" John replied, putting his arm around Anna's shoulders as they crossed the large backyard into the house.

"Nothing, John. Everything has been handled well. We just need to wait for the arrival of the groom's family and guests. Jocy has also finished making up, it seems-" Anna replied as she looked at her sister who walked up to her with the bride's veil.

"Hi John, Anna," she greeted cheerfully as she hugged John warmly.

"Don't move too much, Jocy, you'll sweat and ruin your makeup," Anna scolded looking at her sister who looked stunning on her wedding day.

"Calm down, Anna. My future husband won't run away even if my make-up wears off. Hahaha," joked Jocelyn, laughing.

Anna and John laughed with Jocelyn. They then sat in the living room chatting while waiting for the guests to arrive with the rest of the Brighton family.

At 11.00 AM the groom's party arrived on time. Pastor Andrew Rottwick, who was mandated to take the sacred vows of Jocelyn and Max's marriage, was ready in his place. The holly matrimony procession went smoothly and serenely.

The two mothers of the bride and groom shed tears of emotion as they looked at their son and daughter saying the sacred vows of marriage to live as long as they could live the life they were about to start.

After Pastor Andrew blesses their marriage, Max is allowed to kiss Jocelyn. The handsome man with brown hair and blue eyes took Jocelyn's body and brought his face closer and bit her lips deeply. Jocelyn closed her eyes as she returned the kiss with a soft kiss. Her right hand was hanging on Max's shoulder, while her left hand was holding a bouquet of beautiful blooming red roses.

The guests and family members applauded the newlyweds. Suddenly a man sat to the left of Annastacia's empty chair and made the girl turn around.

Anna's eyes met a pair of brilliant pale blue eyes, a handsome face flashed across the screen and his picture was displayed everywhere, smiling dazzlingly at Anna. "Hello, Anna... long time no see!" he said.
