According to JC's words when interviewed by reporters in front of The Hive restaurant lobby, the young man came to the Karapova family's residence in Manhattan, New York. He asked Max Brury to become the guardian on behalf of his deceased parents.

The Russian-American girl's family welcomed JC warmly. They also know who JC is. JC's name has been known throughout America as a pop star and a best-selling advertising model.

"Come on in, JC. We are glad you came to our humble home," greeted Anna Marie's 74-year-old grandmother kindly. She is of American nationality, while her husband is of Russian origin. Anna Marie's father, Mr. Alexei Sergeyev Karapova also gave JC a warm hug. He also felt happy that his second daughter was getting married to a famous celebrity. He was a tall man with auburn hair like Anna Marie with turquoise eyes too. When everyone present in the living room was comfortably seated, Anna Marie's father began to speak, "So what brings you to our place, JC?"

JC squeezed Max's knee while looking at him, and Max nodded confidently at him. The young man replied, "Mr. Karapova, I want to propose to your daughter. I am sure of my love for Anna Marie. Will you allow your daughter to marry me, sir?"

All members of Anna Marie's family smiled happily. Then Mr. Alexei Karapova replied, "Of course, we allow Anna Marie to marry you, JC as long as you truly love her. So far, none of our families have divorced."

"Oohh ... don't worry, Mr. Karapova. I won't hurt Anna by doing something that isn't good. I guarantee that your daughter is in the hands of a responsible and loyal man," said JC trying to convince his future father-in-law.

"Very well then, perhaps you could start organizing mass for your wedding as well as preparing a simple banquet after the holy matrimony mass?" suggested Mr. Alexei Karapova while looking at his future handsome son-in-law. Max patted JC on the back and smiled happily knowing that the response from Anna Marie's family was so positive towards JC's marriage proposal.

"Very well then, Mr. Karapova. I will take care of all the preparations for our wedding as soon as possible. Are two weeks too soon?" JC replied while proposing the date of his wedding.

"No, we agree anytime because our family is not from an elite circle with a wide social circle. Maybe your wedding celebration doesn't need to be too exciting. However, we will adjust because you are a famous artist, JC. Of course, you have a long list of guests," answered Mr. Karapova diplomatically.

Max accompanied him to meet the priest at the Catholic church. "Good afternoon, Father. I want to ask for your help to bless my marriage to my future bride in 2 weeks. Can you do that?" said JC expressing his purpose to meet the priest without further ado.

"Good afternoon, Son. What are your names and your future bride? I have to check your status at the Vatican first. If you are both not registered in a church marriage, then there is no obstacle," Father Peter Jackson answered according to the protocol for submitting a marriage blessing.

The priest even then contacted the Vatican to check the marital status of Jason Channing and Anna Marie Karapova. After receiving a message from the Vatican, the priest met JC again.
