She totally wrecked Chloe's friendships. Later on, while she was working at a bar, she happened to bump into a tough girl named Lisa. Linda had seen old photos of Chloe's mom, Leah, and was struck by how much they looked alike. This piqued her curiosity big time.

So, Linda sneaked over to the Meadows family and snagged a few strands of Leah's hair. She did a DNA test against Lisa's, and surprise, surprise, Lisa was Leah's biological daughter. Initially, Linda thought Lisa might be Leah's love child from an affair. But she also stealthily did a test on Chloe and Leah. The results? Mind-blowing. Chloe and Leah weren't related at all.

Fast forward to that summer after sophomore year, Lisa showed up at the Meadows family with a paternity test in hand. Linda had actually sent that test to Lisa. She tore Chloe's life apart-her home, her family. Just like she planned, Chloe ended up without a roof over her head. But what she didn't bank on was the Moncada family stepping in. They treated Chloe like their own, with Lucas doting on her endlessly.

So, Linda schemed against Lucas. She'd had her eyes on him for ages. They'd been childhood friends, practically betrothed since they were kids, and the timing was perfect for her move. She drove a wedge between Chloe and Lucas with ease and snatched Lucas away from her. After some summer camp, Lucas came back and dumped Chloe. She lost her love, and with it, her friendships and family ties-ruthlessly shattered.

Chloe hit rock bottom, falling from grace. But Linda wasn't done yet. She pushed Lucas into marrying her, and just like that, she became Mrs. Moncada. The Moncada family adored her like their own daughter, and she moved into their lavish home. Everything seemed to backfire on her plans. She wanted Chloe cast out with nothing, broken beyond repair. She imagined herself being Chloe's savior at her lowest, crafting a "golden cage" for them to live in together forever.

But Chloe didn't stay down for long. She shot up to heights that Linda could only dream of, which just fueled Linda's hatred even more. Disappointed but not defeated, Linda decided to plot again. She didn't want Chloe seeking revenge, so she nudged Lucas to leave the country. She still had an ace up her sleeve, a plan she'd been crafting for years, and she was ready to play it. She was convinced she could get Chloe to stay by her side willingly, and that day was coming soon.

So when Chloe approached Linda, Linda was already in tears. Chloe noticed her strange expression and frowned. Meanwhile, the officiant announced, "Now, the bride and groom will exchange rings." The crowd murmured in surprise. "Where's the groom? What rings are we talking about?" "This officiant must be joking!" "Isn't this Moncada wedding just the biggest joke ever?"

The officiant continued, "Our groom hasn't run off but is caught up elsewhere. Nonetheless, the wedding will go on. From here on out, our maid of honor will stand in for him." And with that, the officiant said, "Now, maid of honor, please place the ring on the bride."
