Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover -
Chapter 725
Cassie finally managed to dial a number on her phone.
"Winston, it's me."
With the call on speaker, Chloe could hear everything loud and clear as well.
Winston's voice was icy cold: "What do you want?"
Cassie felt a chill run through her, as if doused in cold water. The words she had planned to say just wouldn't come out. The background noise from Winston's end was chaotic and distracting. Cassie found herself blurting out, "Where are you?"
He didn't answer directly, maintaining that frosty tone, "What do you want?"
"Let's meet face to face. Send me your location, and I'll come replace you."
After hanging up, Cassie soon received the location. She looked at it and frowned, "He's at the Regal Club."
Chloe frowned too. "Isn't the owner of the Regal Club one of his clients?"
"Maybe it's best to clear things up in person," Chloe suggested.
So, they both headed to the Regal Club.
They arrived at private room number 8, as Winston had mentioned. Cassie knocked on the door, but there was no response.
She decided to just open it.
The moment the door swung open, it felt like stepping into a different world. The room was dimly lit, the music blaring, but there was no mistaking Winston.
He was right there in the middle, lounging on a sofa, surrounded by beautiful women. One particularly leggy stunner was perched on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck, about to pour him a drink. A few guys nearby were egging them on. "Come on, do it mouth to mouth!"
Both Chloe and Cassie stood there, dumbfounded. Chloe had never seen Winston like this before, looking every bit the playboy. His jacket was off, and he wore just a white shirt with the top two buttons undone, exuding a devil-may-care attitude.
Chloe felt a pang of regret and doubt. This wasn't the Winston she knew. She glanced worriedly at Cassie.
Cassie appeared just as surprised, but she quickly pulled herself together. Still, Chloe noticed the flicker of disappointment and hurt in Cassie's eyes.
Inside, Winston looked over at the
door. Seeing Cassie, he seemed to freeze for a moment. But quickly, he pulled his arm back from the sofa and wrapped it around the woman on his lap. She leaned in even closer, resting on his shoulder, "Dr. Winston, my heart feels a bit funny. Think you could check it out tonight?"
Someone nearby teased, "Hailey, Dr. Winston's a shrink, not a heart doctor!"
"Heart's a heart, right?" Hailey flirted, snuggling up to Winston.
Winston replied with indifference, "Sure."
Though he spoke to Hailey, his eyes were locked on Cassie at the door. Suddenly, everyone's attention shifted to the entrance.
Cassie snapped back to reality, strutted in, and grabbed a lighter off the table. She lit a cigarette with a devil-may-care attitude, "Winston, that's low. Going out and not inviting me."
She wedged herself next to Winston, pulling the woman from his lap into hers. She blew smoke in the woman's face, "Sweetheart, why waste time with this block of wood if you're feeling down? You need a guy like me."
With that, she boldly ran her hand
over the woman's thigh. Hailey blushed at Cassie's ruggedly
handsome face. Despite his lean et
build, his clean-cut features
combined with a roguish charm and piercing gaze made her heart race.
