Summary
Cure the haunting pain and guilt of loss by having a drink or two with a ghost This is not your typical ghost story. Yes, there are ghosts. Four of them to be exact. But none of them rattle chains or bring messages from beyond the grave. No, this is an atypical ghost story, More about the living than the dead, and about the fine line between the two. Shutting down after suffering a tragic loss, Emily takes a step out of her own life. She still has a job, she still pays the rent and occasionally eats, but there isn’t much else until one day, Emily stumbles upon an abandoned hospital and replaces that a quartet of spooks has been calling it home. Suddenly ripped from the stillness of her life by this startling discovery, Emily replaces herself contemplating supernatural friendship, love in the flesh and letting go of a guilt she has harboured for too long. But no one can be expected to change overnight. Emily’s Seams is the darkly humorous and touching inner monologue of Emily as her shell of callous remarks and a cold shoulder are challenged by a persistent co-worker, a family history she can no longer ignore and, of course, the four spirits she occasionally shares a drink or two with.
