Irvin got on the other elevator. He thought hard, then pressed for the second floor. According to thepattern, she might stop on the second floor. If I go straight to the second floor, maybe I can catch up,then see what she is doing on every floor.

Irvin was right; Alice did stop on the second floor. To be exact, she was waiting for Irvin. She wasplaying a psychological tactic. However, this tactic was not aimed at Ethan, but at Irvin.

“Bro, hasn’t she come down yet? I stopped at the second floor and didn’t see her.” Irvin also steppedout of the elevator and looked around the lobby. After he didn’t replace the person he was looking for, hefrowned slightly. “Where did she go?”

When Alice heard Irvin call the man brother, she was shocked. She knew that man was not Irvin’sbiological brother, as she knew him personally.

If he isn’t Irvin’s biological brother, then there’s only one possibility—he is Ethan Knight, the youngmaster of the Knight Family, the head of the seven great families in Rodcaster. So it seems he is Mr.Knight of the Knight Family. I have nothing to do with Mr. Knight, and he has no reason to capture me.Of course, if Mr. Knight is the man from seven years ago, he has every reason to catch me.
