Ethan was a smart man, and he immediately knew what had happened when he set his eyes on thefamiliar bloody shirt that Leah was wearing. At that moment, he realized that he had underestimatedAlice! It was obvious that she had calculated every step of this.

This is getting more and more interesting! She better pray that I won’t be able to catch her! he thought.Then, he ordered his men to close up every opening in the building. That way, it was impossible forAlice to get out.

On the other hand, Alice and Billy were at the underground parking lot. Just as they were on their way,elevator Number 2 opened, and a few men came out. When they saw Alice and Billy, one of the menshouted, “There they are! Let’s get them!” Then, the men chased after them.

At the same time, elevator Number 1 was also on the first basement floor. When the elevator dooropened, Ethan walked out of it. At that moment, Alice was already by the car door. When Ethanstepped out of the elevator, there was a pillar between them, blocking their sight of each other.

When Billy saw that Alice was running faster than him, he felt his lips unconsciously twitch and thoughtif the danger had aroused her hidden ability. Then, he used the remote control to open the car’s lock,and Alice slid into the vehicle as soon as she opened the door. She did it so swiftly that when Ethanbypassed the pillar, all he could see was one of her legs left outside.

As soon as Billy got in the car, he reversed it with one hand, and with an impeccable drift movement,the car drove off at lightning speed. Since Billy loved to race cars, his driving skills were highly skilled,and it was obvious that those men who chased them had been left behind, including Ethan.

As Billy drove, he raised his eyebrows and smiled excitedly. “We made it.” It was a thrilling experiencefor him.

However, Alice wasn’t as optimistic as him. After all, she had seen before how powerful Ethan was.Hence, she told Billy, “We have to wait until we leave the hotel.”

When Billy heard her words, he was startled and immediately knew what she meant. “What do youmean? Are you saying that there will be an ambush by the entrance?”

“There is a possibility,” replied Alice. When they were on the second floor, she heard the men say toclose up all the openings in the hotel. She wasn’t sure if they had included the underground parkinglot’s entrance, but she felt that Ethan wouldn’t be able to assign many people to work on the blockageat this hour. Thus, that fact was her last strand of hope.

“Where should we exit from?” Billy appeared to be deep in thought. It was unexpectant to see him askAlice for directions since he was known to be arrogant.

“The nearest exit.” Under unknown circumstances, Alice could only choose the nearest route possible.At this moment, the best option was to leave as quickly as possible.

While they were trying to replace a way out, Ethan watched as the car left rapidly. However, instead ofchasing after them, he took out his phone and dialed a number. When the call was picked up, Derek’svoice sounded before he could have a chance to speak. “Where are you, Boss? I’m already at thehotel. What’s happening?” He bombarded Ethan with questions.

“How many men had you assigned at the underground parking lot?” Ethan’s voice was deep as hespoke. Although his tone was monotonous, it sounded surprisingly terrifying.

Even Derek had lowered his voice when he sensed that Ethan was in a bad mood from the other endof the phone. “Quite a few. I have about six to seven men at each exit. Haven’t you caught them yet,Boss?”

“The car is a Bentley, and its number plate is 666. No matter what you do, don’t let it get away.”Although Ethan didn’t answer his question, his words gave it out.

“Don’t worry, Boss. I’m on it.” As the chief of the police station, Derek was confident in his abilities.However, he was curious about the person who managed to probe Ethan.

When Billy was almost by the nearest exit, he was dumbfounded by the sight in front of him. “What onearth is going on? Why are there so many people?” By the exit, there stood seven men. They alignedthemselves into a line, blocking the exit with their bodies like a huge wall.

Under such circumstances, Billy wouldn’t be able to drive past them. After all, no one was willing totake the risk and drive toward them, as things would not end well if the men didn’t move out of the waywhen Billy drove his car toward them.

At that moment, Billy slowed down his car subconsciously while Alice pursed her lips. With themblocking the path and Ethan’s man chasing after us, Ethan will catch up to us in a matter of time. If wecan’t get through them and leave as soon as possible, I will be caught. By then, it will be the end forme.

“Why don’t we change the route? It’s the middle of the night, and I’m sure they won’t be able to blockevery exit. Maybe we are just having some bad luck,” said Billy as he felt that things couldn’t have gonethat bad.

“It’s useless. Look at them. They are wearing special police uniforms; they are not people from thehotel. Special police patrol the place twenty-four hours a day,” explained Alice. Her words indicated thatEthan had a handful of men, so they would end up in the same situation even if they went to otherexits.

such a cruel way to get you?”

Cruel? Alice thought. She felt that Billy’s words were suitable for Ethan.

After some thinking, Billy suggested, “Why don’t we go back?” After all, they couldn’t pass the humanwall in front of them, and they would be caught if they didn’t retreat soon.

“No,” answered Alice instantly. She knew clearly that they would be out of the frying pan and into thefire if they went back.

Hearing her words, Billy turned and looked at her with both expectant and confusion. “Do you have anyplans?” he asked.

Looking at the human wall, Alice smiled slightly. “Don’t slow down and continue to drive.”

“Won’t we kill them?” Billy was concerned at this point. After all, it was no joke if he had hit them.

“We won’t,” replied Alice. Although her tone was soft, she was persistent with it.

“If you say so.” Then, Billy stepped on the pedal and accelerated the car’s speed. His subconsciousactions had proved that he had trusted Alice.

The car sped up and was getting closer to the exit. Although the men’s faces had changed, they didn’tmove out of the way. Seeing this, Billy squinted his eyes but didn’t slow down. Since Alice said that it’sfine, I believe in her. He wondered when he had started to trust her unconditionally.

At that moment, the distance between the car and the exit was about a few feet. Suddenly, Alice stoodup and opened the sunroof. Then, she threw something toward the men and said, “See this M-DN31grenade from Germany as my present. I hope you guys enjoy it.”

The grenade flew just in front of the men, and smoke was starting to get out from it. It was undeniably agreat tool from the masquerade party.

When Billy saw Alice’s movements, he was dumbstruck, for he never knew that things could turn outthis way!

On the other hand, the men panicked and ran away as soon as they saw the smoking grenade. “It’s abomb! Run!” they shouted.

The men would have bet that Billy wouldn’t dare to run over them since it was a human driving.However, they wouldn’t dare to risk their life on the line when a grenade was thrown in their direction.
