Chapter 366

Chapter 366 You Can Only Be Mine

Aletta was a bit confused and said, “Can you please watch your language? What do you mean by ‘Iwent to a hotel room with him‘?”

Alex coldly interrupted, “I’ve already warned you about everything I needed to warn you about. If youdon’t know what’s good for you, I can’t be bothered.”

Aletta didn’t know what else to say and could only furrow her brow and ask, “Did you call just to arguewith me?”

Alex acted spoiled, “Of course not! Who would want to argue with you? Mr. Alex is very busy, youknow!”

Aletta couldn’t help but retort, “If you’re so busy, why didn’t you answer the phone? You’re childish andyou won’t even admit it.”

“I don’t want to argue with you.”

Alex was still angry, but he didn’t continue arguing. Instead, he said, “I’m going to France in a few days.We can meet then.”

“As for the matter with that organization, you already know about it. There’s nothing more to say. But…I have some vague clues about the person who might have abducted two children back then.”

“I’m not sure yet, and it needs further confirmation. We can discuss it in detail when we meet.”

Aletta’s heart skipped a beat, and she immediately lowered her voice and told Alex, “I’m currently inGermany. I came here to see my senior and check on the situation with the medication in my body. Imight be a few days late in returning.”

Upon hearing this, Alex’s voice grew colder. “What did they replace?”

Aletta responded, “I’m fine for now. It’s just the formula of the medication that needs to be analyzed, and there haven’t been any major breakthroughs yet.”

Alex furrowed his brows, seemingly dissatisfied. “Before you do anything in the future, can you let meknow? Recently, I’ve been investigating people you know, including your seniors… Although it’s notconfirmed yet, it’s possible that the culprit is among them. You’d better be careful!”

Aletta’s heart sank upon hearing this, and she instinctively said, “It’s impossible… How could it be?”

“Why not?”

Alex’s tone was sarcastic, “Some people spend their whole lives together and still can’t see througheach other, let alone your kind of relationship.”

Aletta was left speechless by his words.

Alex didn’t say anything else and hung up after a while.

Aletta put away her phone and stood in front of the floor–to–ceiling window, lost in thought.

She began to recall the moments she had spent with her seniors.

When she first met them, she was in her pregnancy period.

She joined the World Medical League and met them before giving birth.

In the following years, they often communicated online. And she couldn’t detect any maliciousintentions from them.

But she had to admit that Alex’s words made some sense.

After all, she didn’t have a deep understanding of their backgrounds.

So, it was possible that she was being targeted without realizing it…

However, Aletta had another thought.

What if it wasn’t her seniors, but someone else?

She believed that she had a good judgment of people and wouldn’t easily mistake someone’scharacter!

While her thoughts were in chaos, Jason finished his shower and came out.

Seeing Aletta standing there in a daze, with a hint of sadness in her eyes. He couldn’t help but walkover and ask, “What’s wrong?”

Aletta snapped out of her thoughts upon hearing his voice and casually replied, “It’s nothing… justthinking about something.”

Jason looked at her deeply and asked, “What did Alex say to you on the phone?”

“He didn’t say much, just told me that he’ll be going on a business trip to France in a few days. He alsomentioned something about that organization.”

Aletta summarized briefly.

Jason paused and asked, “Does he also know about the ‘Hunters‘?”

Aletta hesitated for a moment and honestly replied, “I asked for his help when I was attacked abroad.”

Jason remained silent.

He couldn’t describe the emotions in his heart.

He felt a bit displeased.

Unhappy with himself at that time for not being by her side.

But also grateful that someone could lend her a helping hand back then!

Seeing his changing expression, Aletta said, “Didn’t I said I will tell you everything? Why do you seem alittle unhappy?”

“Nothing.”

Jason regained his composure and looked at her seriously, saying, “I’m glad you’re willing to tell me.Actually, I’m really happy.”

“I can’t see that at all.”

Aletta pursed her lips and added with a touch of grievance, “Well, let’s not talk about this. My stomachdoesn’t feel well, and I seem to have forgotten to bring my stomach medicine.”

Upon hearing this, Jason furrowed his brows. His expression turning a bit sour.

“Why do you feel unwell? Did you eat something contaminated tonight?”

Aletta explained, “It shouldn’t be because of dinner. It’s probably… because I forgot to eat.”

As she spoke, she glanced at Jason guiltily.

The man’s face darkened a little.

This woman, she never listens! Seeing that she was about to be scolded, Aletta placed her hand on herabdomen and softly said, “I really don’t feel well…”

Her coquettish tone instantly dissipated Jason’s urge to speak, leaving him unable to say anything. Hekept a calm expression on his face as he called the front desk and instructed them to send up themedicine.

After finishing the call, he noticed that Aletta’s hair was still wet and untidy. And his brows furrowedagain. “Why didn’t you dry your hair at all? Are you trying to catch a cold?”

Although he said that, he had already taken action to fetch a hairdryer without letting Aletta do itherself. He personally helped her dry her hair.

His every action was unbelievably considerate.

Aletta didn’t refuse his gestures and cooperated obediently.

After a few minutes, the medicine arrived from the front desk. And Jason opened the door to receive it.He then came back and proactively poured hot water for Aletta, placing it in front of her. “Take themedicine.”

Aletta complied obediently and took the medicine.

The medicine didn’t take effect immediately, but the sensation of stomach cramps became clearer.

She looked wilted, lying on the sofa with her body slightly curled up, giving off a pitiful appearance.

Jason returned after placing the cup back and saw her like this. His brows knitted as he squattedbeside her and asked, “Is it very uncomfortable?”

Aletta shook her head, intending to get up and lie down in the room. “It’s fine, I’ll be better in a while.”

But Jason firmly held her down and ordered her with a displeased tone, “Stay down and don’t move!”

Being called out like that, Aletta didn’t get up and obediently lay back down.

The man quickly brought a small blanket and covered her stomach with it.

Then, his warm palm gently pressed against her abdomen.

The close contact made Aletta’s whole–body tense for a moment, and she asked sluggishly, “What…are you doing?”

Jason lowered his gaze, glanced at her, and said, “Isn’t your stomach uncomfortable? I’ll help massageit a bit to provide some relief.”

As he spoke, he used a clockwise motion to gently massage her, helping to alleviate her discomfort.

At first, Aletta felt a bit uneasy.

But as the warm sensation spread, she gradually felt that it wasn’t as uncomfortable as before.

As she became more comfortable, her spirits also relaxed.

Eventually, without realizing it, Aletta fell asleep.

Seeing that she had fallen asleep, Jason didn’t wake her up. He picked her up and carried her back tothe bed in the room.

After tucking her in, he didn’t leave but stared at her sleeping face, his gaze profound…

Jason was well aware of his own emotions, feeling somewhat out of control.

Although he knew that there was nothing between Aletta and Alex.

But every time he thought about someone else also caring about her. He felt a burning flame in hisheart, worsening his emotions…

After a while, Jason managed to regain some composure.

He restrained his impulses and leaned down to give Aletta a light kiss on the lips.

Then, in a deep and serious tone. As if speaking to her and to himself, he said, “Aletta, you… can onlybe mine!”
