Chapter 371
Chapter 371 They Can’t Escape
The man was dominant and irresistible.
Aletta regained her senses and pressed her hands against Jason’s chest, creating some distancebetween them. She exclaimed in embarrassment, “Who acts like this?”
In the past, he would attack sneakily. But now he was shamelessly bold!
Jason’s voice was low and magnetic, his forehead touching hers as he spoke with a hint of a smile, “I’mhappy!”
As soon as he finished speaking, his scorching kiss descended upon her again.
Their breaths mingled, passion intertwining between them.
He skillfully took what he desired, leaving Aletta’s rationality in shambles.
After a while, she felt her whole body growing weak, leaning against him helplessly.
Jason didn’t go too far.
As soon as a few minutes of her unresisting kisses ended, he immediately stopped and held herwithout continuing.
He was afraid he would lose control.
Aletta rested on his shoulder, breathing heavily.
Jason was satisfied both physically and mentally, refusing to let go of her.
After a long while, Aletta finally recovered. But the blush on her cheeks lingered.
She stood up and kept a safe distance from Jason, saying, “I‘|| finish treating your wound.”
Jason nodded.
Soon, Aletta rebandaged him, and her mood calmed down.
Afterward, she took a shower.
When she came out, it was already late.
Jason asked her, “Do you want to rest?”
Aletta shook her head, “Not sleepy for now. Have the bodyguards returned?”
“Not yet. If nothing unexpected happens. It might be very late, maybe even tomorrow.”
As Jason spoke, he waved at Aletta and whispered, “Come here.”
Aletta walked over and asked, “What’s the matter?”
Jason raised his hand and pulled her to sit beside him. “Nothing. Just keeping you company. Since youcan’t sleep, let’s chat.”
Aletta didn’t refuse and obediently sat next to him. “What do you want to talk about?”
Jason poured her a glass of water and spoke gently, “Let’s talk about your seniors, how you met them, anything you want to share.”
Upon hearing his words, Aletta remembered what happened on the plane and teasingly asked him,“Why? Haven’t you had enough of jealousy?”
Jason glanced at her with deep eyes and replied, “Not really. Now that you’re mine, there’s no need forjealousy. I just want to know about your past, the people you’ve known, everything.”
He said so, and Aletta didn’t doubt it. Just nodding in agreement.
Little did she know that while she was taking a shower, Jason had instructed Eaton to investigateLewis.
Although Lewis might not be the one who harmed her, he didn’t want to miss any possibilities.
Aletta didn’t know what he was thinking, and soon she began telling him about how she met herseniors…
Time passed unnoticed.
Aletta couldn’t wait for the bodyguards to return and grew sleepy, leaning on Jason’s shoulder andfalling asleep.
Her sleeping face was serene and gentle.
Jason glanced at her and gently kissed her forehead. Then he carefully moved her and let her rest herhead on his leg before covering her with a blanket.
In the early hours of the morning, Eaton returned.
As soon as he entered, seeing the scene. He instinctively lowered his voice and said, “Sir, thebodyguards have returned.”
Jason nodded and gently adjusted Aletta’s position. After confirming that she was still asleep, he wentwith Eaton to the lobby.
Outside, the bodyguards who had gone to chase the black–clothed individuals were all injured tovarying degrees.
Seeing this, Jason’s voice turned cold as he asked, “What happened?”
The bodyguards respectfully bowed and apologetically said, “I’m sorry, Sir. Our men chased after them, and we did catch them. However, they had reinforcements! We were intercepted, and a fight broke out.In the end, they managed to escape.”
Upon hearing this, Jason’s face completely darkened.
The lobby seemed to be filled with a chilling air, with a heavy atmosphere that made everyone dare notbreathe.
“Is this your efficiency?” Jason’s displeasure was evident.
The bodyguards felt the pressure and hurriedly tried to make up for it. “But we saw what they lookedlike. The person who shot at Ms. Aletta was Gail!”
Jason froze for a moment. “What did you say?”
The bodyguards repeated, “We definitely didn’t mistake it. It was Gail’s face.”
Eaton, surprised by this information. Asked, “Are you sure you didn’t mistake her?”
How could Gail be in Germany?
And someone like her, how could she handle a gun?
And she even aimed so accurately?
The bodyguards insisted, “We absolutely didn’t make a mistake. It wasn’t just me who saw herappearance.”
The other bodyguards immediately testified, “It was definitely her, no doubt.”
Eaton immediately looked at Jason and said, “It seems that Gail is indeed not dead, and consideringthe situation at the time. That person didn’t seem like a professional assassin. After firing the shot, theirreaction was slow. Or else our people wouldn’t have hit them.”
Jason’s eyes narrowed. “It seems that woman not only refuses to repent but also wants to kill Aletta.”
He couldn’t tolerate anyone laying a hand on Aletta and immediately gave the order, “Get the personnelfrom the King League involved. Track down Gail and her group’s whereabouts immediately. If theymanage to escape Germany, you all don’t need to come back!”
Upon hearing this, Eaton was taken aback.
Was Sir planning to use the King League’s personnel?
If the King League got involved, there was no way Gail could escape.
It seemed that the attack on Ms. Aletta last night had thoroughly angered Sir.
Eaton snapped back to attention and quickly obeyed, “I’ll do it right away!”
After everyone left, the cold aura emanating from Jason’s body lingered for a long time.
The next morning, Aletta was awakened by Lewis’s phone call.
Regret was evident in Lewis’s tone as his voice came through the phone, “Aletta, the police couldn’treplace out who the other party was last night. The only thing they managed to retrieve from the
surveillance footage was an armed figure.”
Aletta wasn’t surprised at all.
Considering the caution of those people, they wouldn’t be easily caught.
She nodded and replied, “Okay, I understand.”
After getting up and freshening up, Aletta left the room.
Jason, who knows when he woke up, was sitting in the living room. Working on his laptop. Alettainformed him about the situation.
Jason wasn’t surprised at all and reassured Aletta, “It’s okay. Our people have found some leads, butwe won’t be able to return home for a few more days.”
Aletta had no objections and nodded, saying, “Alright.”
Jason temporarily didn’t plan to tell Aletta that the person who attempted to assassinate her was Gail.
That woman was an unpleasant presence for Aletta, and he didn’t want to cause her any more distress.
At this moment, in the outskirts of Germany, there was an abandoned brewery.
It was desolate and devoid of human presence, exuding a sense of dilapidation.
However, inside the brewery. It was a completely different world.
Unlike the worn–out exterior, the interior was decorated grandly. With several black–clothed individualspatrolling and guarding.
In the main hall, at the top of the steps, there was a majestic seat.
A man wearing a golden mask sat there, emitting an imposing aura.
Kneeling in front of him was Gail, her face pale and her posture humble.
