Chapter 65
was scrolling my phone when Luciano came back from work. It is my ninth month and the baby will come anytime soon. We just can’t wait to hold our baby.
Though I have taken maternity leave but sometimes I do work from home because it is hard to spend time alone.
The sound of the door opening drew my attention. Luciano stepped inside, his tired. expression brightening as he caught sight of me.
He crossed the room to plant a gentle kiss on my forehead.
“How was your day?” He asked, his voice gentle.
“Quite mostly” I replied with a smile, putting my phone aside “How about you?”
“Busy, as usual. But seeing you makes it all worth it.” He chuckled.
“I missed you today.” I reached out to squeeze his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch soothe my soul.
“I missed you too,” he murmured, leaning in to press a tender kiss to my lips.
He pulled back and his eyes flicked to my feet.
“Your feet are swollen” he pointed out.
Noticing his concern, I glanced down at my feet and sighed inwardly. Pregnancy had brought about its share of discomforts, and swollen feet were just one of them.
“Yeah, they have been bothering me a bit,” I admitted, trying to hide the discomfort in my voice.
He already has a hard and rough day. I just don’t want to bother him anymore.
Without another word, Luciano got up and rushed outside the room leaving me confused. Moments later, he returned with a towel and a basin of warm water.
“Here,” he said gently, placing the items on the coffee table in front of me. “Let’s see if we can ease some of that swelling.”
I couldn’t help but smile at his thoughtfulness. I was about to reach out for the towel to soothe my pain when he knelt down beside me, taking me by surprise. He carefully rolled up my pant legs and lifted my feet, resting them on the edge of the basin.

Chapter 65
Luciano, you don’t need to do this! You must be already tired‘ I stated.
You are carrying my baby, enduring all the pain alone. The least I could do for you is this
My heart flushed with pure love and my eyes filled with warmth. How come I became so lucky? The way the world used to treat me I never thought even in my best dream that I would get someone like him. He takes care of my everything, he knows what I want before I could even voice it out. He takes care of my pain more than his and always keep me before himself.
“Thanks, Luciano,” I murmured, feeling a rush of gratitude for his kindness.
He simply smiled in response, dipping the towel into the water and wringing it out before gently placing it on my feet. The warmth of the water felt soothing against my skin, and I let out a contented sigh as the tension began to melt away.
For the next few minutes, we sat in comfortable silence, the only sound of the soft rustle of the towel against my skin. With every dab of the towel, I felt more relaxed, more at peace.
When he was finished, Luciano dried off my feet with the towel and gently massaged them, his touch firm yet gentle.
“How’s that?” he asked, looking up at me with a tender smile..
I couldn’t help but smile back, feeling a rush of love for this man who always knew exactly how to take care of me..
“Much better,” I replied, leaning in to press a grateful kiss to his cheek. “Thank you, Luciano.”
He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close as we settled back on the couch. None of us pulled back as we found solace into each other’s arms.
Suddenly my stomach wambled which caught our attention. He pulled back and looked down at me.
“You had your dinner?” He asked and I simply shook my head.
“How many times I have told you to have your meals on time without waiting for me” he scolded me.
I pouted.

“I didn’t like the things they cooked for the dinner” I told him.
So, what do you wanna have?” He asked.
“Ummm….” I rubbed my chin “something spicy”
Luciano chuckled at my request for something spicy, his eyes alight with amusement. “Spicy it is then,” he declared, already moving towards the kitchen.
I followed him eagerly, feeling a surge of anticipation at the thought of enjoying a delicious, fiery meal. As I settled onto a stool at the kitchen counter, I watched with admiration as Luciano began to gather ingredients and set to work.
He moved with a practiced ease, chopping vegetables with precision and adding spices with a flourish. The tantalizing aroma of sizzling spices filled the air, making my mouth water in anticipation.
Before long, he had whipped up a mouthwatering dish of spicy noodles, the vibrant colors and fragrant aroma making my stomach rumble in anticipation.
“Here you go, Dove,” he said, placing a steaming bowl of noodles in front of me with a proud smile.
I wasted no time in digging in, relishing the burst of flavors that exploded on my tongue with each bite. The heat of the spices warmed me from the inside out.
Taking another spoonful, I moved it towards him and he gladly opened his mouth. We shared the delicious meal ther
After finishing the noodles I was craving for something sweet. And to my surprise, Luciano brought out a cake and served a piece to me.
“How did you know?” I asked
He chuckled.
“I knew you would definitely crave for it in the middle of the night so I bought it while. returning home”
He showed me his pearly white teeth while I relished the sweetness of the cake on my
tongue.
“Not me but your baby” I giggled as Luciano watched.
As I savored the sweetness of the cake, a sudden twinge of pain shot through my

abdomen, causing me to gasp in surprise.
Luciano’s eyes widened in concern as he noticed my discomfort.
“Are you alright, Dove?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.
I winced, clutching my stomach as another wave of pain washed over me.
“I think… I think it’s time,” I managed to say through gritted teeth.
Panic flickered across Luciano’s face before he quickly composed himself, his expression determined.
“Alright, stay calm. We need to get you to the hospital,” he said, his voice steady as he helped me to my feet.
I nodded, trying to steady my breathing as the pain intensified. Luciano guided me gently towards the door, his arm wrapped securely around my waist as we made our way to the car.
With each step, the pain grew more intense, I was screaming like a mad woman while Luciano didn’t leave my side even for a single second. He was continuously saying soothing words telling me that I was not alone.
As we reached the car, I sank into the passenger seat, clutching my stomach as another. contraction rippled through me. Luciano quickly started the engine and pulled out of the driveway, his eyes fixed on the road.
I clutched the seatbelt, trying to steady myself as another wave of contractions washed
over me.
“We are almost there. Take deep breaths. You are very strong” his hand reached out of squeeze mine, to provide some kind of relief.
I nodded weakly, my breaths coming in short, ragged gasps as I struggled to endure the
pain.
We reached the hospital soon and I was taken on the stretcher. I was in so much pain that I couldn’t understand what was going around. Luciano was losing his temper, shouting at the staff for not being fast. I clutched his hand tightly as thick beads of sweat dribbling down my neck and forehead. My throat felt raw from the constant crying, my body trembling with exhaustion.
Doctors took me to the emergency room and
follow their instructions. My nails dug sharpided me. It was really hard for me to
into Luciano’s skin with every push.

Chapter 65
Luciano was enduring the pain without saying anything.
With one final push, the room was filled with the sound of a newborn’s cry, and tears of relief and joy filled my eyes as I caught sight of our precious baby for the first time.
“Congratulations it is a baby boy” the doctor announced
Luciano intervened his fingers with mine and placed a soft kiss on my forehead while the doctor went to clean our precious baby boy. When they returned they gave the boy
to me.
Our little bundle of joy lay nestled in my arms, his tiny features a perfect blend of both of us. He was so small, so delicate, that I was almost afraid to touch him. But as I leaned in to kiss his forehead, all my fears melted away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of love and wonder.
Gently, I passed our son into Luciano’s waiting arms, watching as his expression softened with awe and adoration. But his next words caught me off guard,
“What if I broke him?” he joked nervously, carning a chuckle from the nurse nearby.
“Don’t worry, Mr. De Luca,” she reassured him with a smile, “babies are tougher than they look.”
I cocked my head, asking him to go ahead and hold our precious son. Gently he cradled him in his arms and looked down at the little bundle of joy with happiness twinkling in his eyes.
“His lips and nose are just like you, cute and adorable” he commented
“His eyes and face cut are like you, brave and bold” I chuckle
“What would you like to name him” Luciano asked.
“Lucivan” I smiled.
I already thought about the name of my baby for both girl and boy. The name Lucivan is made by the name of both of us. It means graceful light. Our baby has actually become the light in our life who would be brightening our future.
Luciano and our baby loved the name. Lucivan thrashed his legs in excitement and Luciano leaned down to kiss my forehead while one of the nurse caught our beautiful moment in the camera.
