Susan praised Edith’s beauty. However, she didn’t ask who Edith went out with this time but just reminded Edith to be careful on the way, saying that she would wait for Edith to come back.

When Edith left, she felt a sense of guilt, with her heart beating fast.

Carlos‘ car had parked at the door. Edith got in the car and asked worriedly, “Uncle, Simon won’t misunderstand, will he?”

“Hasn’t he agreed to let you go?” Carlos said lightly, his deep, attractive eyes staring at her.

He had always thought that Edith wasn’t in good shape, but now it seemed that he was wrong.

Carlos didn’t dare to look at her for too long. After all, he was a normal man with a strong desire!

The car soon arrived at the place of the party. It was on a cruise ship and looked very grand.

After getting out of the car, Carlos raised his arm and gestured for Edith to hold it before entering. She hesitated for a moment but still did it obediently.

After they went in, they didn’t walk toward the crowd but were taken to the VIP room on the third floor by the waiter. Before the door opened, they had heard the noises inside.

Seeing Carlos enter with Edith, Brian clutched his head and complained, “Carlos, how could you do this? You brought a date here!”

Earlier, Brian, Aaron, and Brian were betting on whether Carlos would be different from before and bring a date to the party.

Aaron and Brian had a small bet. Aaron always bet a little money by using the excuse that he was poor and shouldn’t gamble.. Therefore, Brian would naturally lose the most money this time.

Robert clapped his hands happily and said, “What a happy day it is! Today is my sister’s birthday, and I also won so much money. It’s pretty good. Young lady, how about we share the money?”

Robert wondered, “Why do I feel that Carlos changed? I’ve never seen him defend a woman like this! He used to be a reserved person, but may be over–protective of her today?”

Everyone looked at each other with puzzled looks.

Carlos asked Edith to call the waiter over. Obviously, he did this to send her away. Edith knew what he wanted to do and immediately left

Then, Carlo’s told the whole story.

Aaron was the first one to react. “So your bride is Ms. White. You had never seen each other before, and now you’re the only one who knew it. But Ms. White still thinks that her husband is Simon”

“So it means we’ll have a huge loss? Damn it!” Brian frantically scratched his head as he whined, “Carlos, why do you always play by no rules?”

Robert didn’t realize until much later that he would make a fortune. It was good news for him!
