He frowned deeply and lowered his brows as he looked at her flushed face. The drug was plaguing her. She was clearly in unbearable pain and was shivering under the blanket, but she still refused him.

“Does she think that I’m not as good as Simon?”

Carlos narrowed his eyes and asked, “Aren’t you uncomfortable like this?”

“I am…”

However, she was a good girl and wouldn’t do anything that would sully her reputation. Since she had married Simon, she was his wife. She couldn’t do anything reckless.

When he heard her trembling voice, which was like the mewls of a feeble kitten, he almost pounced on her like a hungry wolf.

He frowned and raised his eyebrows in an annoyed manner.

Right now, his sharp and terrifying gaze was fixed on her as if he could peer into the depths of her soul.

Even though she was covered with a thick blanket, she still felt insecure, as if he had seen her naked.

She didn’t know where her strength came from but pushed Carlos away. Ignoring the fact that the jacket covering her had fallen to the ground, she went straight to the bathroom.

At first, she had hoped Carlos would go easy on her, but she didn’t expect he would choose to become the antidote himself!

When he saw her running away, he was instantly enraged. He said coldly, “If you sleep with me, I’ll free you from Simon’s grasp after tonight and make you my official wife.”
