Cora's

POV

I heard Collin cry out for me to watch out and I saw a blur of movement coming towards the stage on my right-hand side and I started backing up the runway. I couldn't tell who it was just yet, but it had to be Maddie. I took two more steps back and Collin, along with the off-duty detective, jumped on the runway in front of me as the woman climbed up onto the stage. This doesn't look like Maddie; this woman's hair is a dark color and longer than Maddie's hair is. She is wearing sunglasses, I cannot tell that it is her, but this woman is clearly coming after me. When the off-duty detective stepped forward to tell her to stop approaching me, that is all he got out of his mouth. Maddie swung her large purse and knocked him out and completely off of the runway to the floor. As soon as I saw that, I screamed out to Thomas who was already heading my way. The woman reaches behind her back and grabs something from behind her tucked into her belt and pulls out a large hunting knife. The blade was 8 to 10 inches long, and I am so scared that I can't breathe right now. I feel a hand on my shoulder, and it is Thomas gently pushing me backward towards Ava and Anna and then he is moving past me towards Collin. Maddie pulls the dark-colored wig off of her head, throws it down along with her sunglasses, and takes a step toward Collin.

"Why don't you want me anymore, Collin? I did everything that you asked of me, and yet you wanted this slut?" Maddie screams at him. Everyone heard it because as soon as she got onto the runway the music stopped, and they all gasped at what Maddie had said. "Stop it, Maddie, you know Cora is not a slut. I was her first and she got pregnant by me the first time she had s*x. Stop it right now. We were NOT together at that time. We wouldn't have even gotten back together if you weren't blackmailing me into it" Collin yells back at her and keeps himself between Maddie and me as the people in their seats gasped at hearing that information.

"You did want me though; you had broken up with Celeste to be with me. Then you broke it off with me, because your mom is a b***h and hates me, and because you wanted her", Maddie points to me with the knife and takes a step forward.

"Cora never did anything to you, Maddie. We were broken up when I got with Cora. You should have been angry with me, but you kept trying to hurt Cora this whole time and tried to get her to miscarry. I have no idea why you hate her so much, Maddie. We were over, and I had moved on. If you hadn't blackmailed me, we would never have even gotten engaged. I have missed everything having to do with my twins because of YOU!" Collin yells back at her and takes another step back from her towards me. Gasps were heard all around the room and Ava and Anna were trying to get me to move back, away from Maddie. My feet were frozen in fear. I am scared if I move, then Maddie will re-focus on me and run over and stab me. "Cora took you away from me Collin. You just didn't know it was Cora. You were in love with Shea and wanted her, even ignoring me sitting right there next to you and all you could do was stare at her. It was obvious to anyone who could see that you were enamored of her. I know we were broken up at the time, but you told me when we broke up, that after you got caught back up with your work, you would see about getting back with me. I may not have loved you, but I liked you, and the s*x was great. I wanted you, and I had you first. You belonged with me, not her. So, I had to blackmail you until you could see that for yourself, Collin. I was trying to help you. You don't need to be tied down with her and those bastard children. You needed to be with me, traveling the world, eating, drinking, dancing, shopping, and having s*x at every location. That is what you used to like to do, and what you still would, if you hadn't gotten with her", Maddie told Collin and took two more steps toward me. Ava and Anna pulled me further back until I was behind them both and I heard someone coming up from behind me and saw Franco, Eric, and Mateo coming to get in front of me as well and telling Ava and Anna to get me somewhere safe, like locked in the bathroom. They made up a wall across the runway so Maddie couldn't get to me. Maddie saw them and said,

"Mateo deserves to die too, Collin. He didn't want me to model for him because he said I would cause too much drama at the shows. Well, how do you like all this drama, Mateo? Are you enjoying yourself now? I am beautiful. You should have wanted me to model for you. You have no vision and I hate you too!". Maddie then lunged at Collin, thrusting the knife towards him and the crowd gasped again.

Thomas had unbuttoned his jacket and I knew that this was not going to play out in anyone's favor. Maddie is going to be shot, potentially fatally, if she doesn't stop this right now. I hear sirens sounding in the distance and getting closer. Maddie will not be able to get out of here and, from the look on her face, she is finally realizing that fact herself. I saw Dalton and Nicolas at the end of the runway so that if she tried to run, they would grab her. Maddie was now cornered, and she was really mad.

"You have ruined my life, Cora. Whether you meant to or not, so I am going to ruin yours by taking your baby's father from you right now. If I can't have him, neither can you" Maddie screamed at me and then charged at Collin and raised the knife in the air and came down hard at his chest. Collin fell down on the runway clutching at his upper chest near his shoulder and blood was running onto the runway. I ran to Collin and told Thomas to stop, as he was about to draw down on Maddie. I stepped up to her, punched her in the face as hard as I could, and knocked her out. I am pretty sure that I broke her nose. Thomas quickly grabbed some zip ties from his coat pocket and put a zip tie each around Maddie's wrists, and then connected them with the third zip tie as I screamed for help for Collin. I sat down next to Collin and held his hand, looking at the knife sticking out of his chest and thinking about pulling it out. I heard a voice call out to me, "Don't touch the knife, Cora!" Adam said and then jumped up on the runway across from me and Anna kneeled down beside me and they started working on stopping the bleeding from Collin's wound. Adam looked up at me and then told me, "Stay calm Cora, it looks like the knife is stuck in his collarbone and it should be OK. As long as she didn't hit anything vital, he should completely heal very quickly. You are overstressed and you could go into labor, so just stay calm and let us handle this. You know I will take care of him".

I was so relieved that I started crying pretty hard, in both relief for Collin's injury, and that it was now over with Maddie. A few minutes later, Eric handed me some makeup wipes for my face and sat down next to me, putting his arm around my shoulders, and stayed with me until the police had an ambulance arrive to transport us. I am going to ride to the hospital with Collin, no matter what. I am so worried about him that I cannot focus on anything.

Adam glanced over at Anna, when the EMTs arrived and started working on Collin and said, "I totally didn't recognize you on the runway, you really clean up nicely, Anderson". He teased her and then went "Ow" when Michael, who had arrived a few minutes before, hit him in the arm. Anna looked over at Michael, who was now also leaning over Collin, and Anna blushed when Michael winked at her. I wish I could be happier about how this worked out, but I was so worried about Collin that I couldn't focus on anything else. My head hurts and my back is really hurting right now. I grab my stomach as I feel a sudden pain on the bottom of my stomach, and then my water breaks.

"s**t, I was worried about this. I knew she was under too much stress. Cora, calm down, it is going to be OK", Adam tells me as he jumps down from the runway and runs over to one of the Officers to call for a second ambulance as I am going into labor. "Baby, I am going to be OK. She hit me pretty high and hit my collarbone. It was painful, but it won't kill me. The knife is just stuck in the collarbone. You need to stay calm for the babies. We will all be together soon honey. Please stay calm. I wanted to be there when the babies are born and if you can stay calm, I may still be able to", Collin tells me and squeezes my hand to try to comfort me. I can hear Ava behind me on her phone coming towards us and see her looking at the puddle around me and on my dress and she yells out, "Oh my goodness, did your water break, Cora?". I can hear whoever is on the other end of the phone start screaming for Ava to replace out where they are taking me, and I already know that it is Marlowe.

Ava sits down on the stage and then jumps down to run over to the officer who had called for the ambulances to see where they would be taking us and told her mom where we were going. Ava then ran over to Jacob to see if he had brought his truck to the show, and to see if he could take her to the hospital. Everything was happening so quickly, and I was struggling not to cry. Ella walked up with the clothes that I came to the fashion show in and asked me if I wanted to go get changed in the bathroom with her. I did, as I was wet and uncomfortable. Ella had gotten a clean rag from somewhere and she helped me to the bathroom with Iris and Livi hot on her tail to help me out. Thomas trailed us, as he had already given his statement to the police, and there were about 15 videos and live streams that were taken when Maddie first started to attack me. So, the attack on the off-duty detective, and on Collin, was all caught on video, and everyone wanted to share it. It will not be a he said/she said on what happened, as it had all been recorded, and the video shared from different angles and sides of the room, with the police. This was probably the most excitement that the members of the audience had ever seen in their lives. I just hope that it didn't destroy Mateo's show. The clothes looked great, and everything went well except for Maddie's outbursts while I was on the runway, and, of course, her attacking me. I hate that this happened to him during his show. I hope this incident didn't end up costing him sales of his designs or having me working for him to cause him bad publicity. I got changed into my leggings, t-shirt, and tennis shoes and went back out to the main floor. I am assisted onto the gurney and then look over at Collin as they continue to secure the knife sticking out of him for transport. Thomas came with me as they wheeled me out and Adam ran over to tell me that he would be staying with Collin, so I didn't have to worry. I will really owe Adam big time for him jumping in and taking care of Collin when he was off duty. But it helps me to be able to relax some as they load me into the back of the ambulance. I am glad Thomas is with me, we have really gotten close in the last 6 months, and I trust him implicitly.
