Cora's

POV

The show is starting, and I am third in line, as usual. Iris looks over at me and gives me a big smile. She always has the ultimate confidence and faith in me, in anything that I do. I smile back and try to act like I am confident. "You look absolutely beautiful" Iris mouths to me, and I grin bigger, then frown at her, because it is natural for me to smile, but I cannot smile on the runway. I did ask her earlier what I needed to do at the end of the show this time, and she said, "just wait for Mateo, he will come to get you".

I wait for Iris to give me the go-ahead and put my head high, wipe the smile off my face and head out. I hear talking increase as I am halfway down the runway. This building is a larger venue, so they were able to add more seats and, due to it being bigger, my friends could still sit in the front row to support me. I got to the end of the runway and hit my poses, and came back. The deep V neck in this shirt makes it a no-go for regular office work as you wouldn't be able to bend over to pick anything up in it, but it was beautiful, the shirt feels great on, and I guess the slit isn't bothering me that bad.

I hurried over to my items and changed into the beautiful Teal romper. Once I get it on, I am glad that I am already taped up, because this could have been a revealing walk down the runway. I take my place at the entrance to the runway and wait for Iris' signal to go. I feel really sexy in this outfit, my boobs look great in it, and that is a good thing because, with this neckline, they are getting their spotlight too. The murmuring gets louder, and I am suddenly extremely glad that I can't see anyone's face past those lights around the stage. I am suddenly awfully pleased about the n****e covers too, as I pose and wonder if a wardrobe malfunction could be an option here. I turned on my heel and went back towards the dressing room. I get my next outfit on, and I love how the coral color looks against my skin. I put the jacket on as I walked to get back in line.

When I hit the runway this time, I hear the increase of murmuring, and I hope I look every inch the businesswoman that I feel like I am in this outfit. The pants look great on me, and the whole outfit is so comfortable. I will definitely be wearing them to work and soon, I just love this outfit. I hit my pose and opened one side of the jacket to show off the coral shirt underneath the jacket.

I headed back over already with my jacket off and pulled the shirt off as I walked up. I am taking off my pants and Livi is already standing there to put the Emerald gown over my head. I remember that I needed Eric to do the touch-up and run over holding the t- shirt that I wore here this morning over the evening dress, so I didn't get it messed up. Eric gets me done and I get to the entrance area about 45 seconds from when I was supposed to go out. I am frustrated with myself as I knew to go to him to make sure my eyeshadow was darkened up for the evening dresses. I need to let it go and I sigh, push out my full breath and take a good deep breath, and then take off when Iris' gives me the go-ahead. I hear deep breaths taken in as I glide down the runway. The dress is absolutely beautiful, and I love it. I got to the end of the runway and hit my poses. I look beautiful in this dress, and I know it. I get my poses done and then come back up the runway to go back to my area. Thankfully, Livi is still there to help me as it is difficult to get into a dress and not mess your hair and makeup up, you totally need help and, as this one is a little more form-fitting and slinky, I really need her help. Livi takes a step back and is looking at me with her mouth wide open, and then grinning hugely at me. I smile and nod and go to stand by Iris at the entrance and I am actually there early, and I see Iris' mouth dropping open when she sees me. I don't have a mirror around, but from her and Livi's expressions, we have a winner in this dress. Hopefully, someone will get a picture of me in this outfit, as I believe from Iris' reaction, that I am about to get a bigger reaction out there on this next run. Ava, Emily, and Ella, are all behind me to do the full line and they are silently clapping their hands together and smiling at me and I am trying not to smile back at them while they do it. Iris touches my arm and I wipe the smile off my face and get my head up. I step out when she sends me and I am right, I get a reaction from the crowd. I hear talking, not murmurs, from the crowd. I just walked to the end of the runway and hit my poses and stood there and waited. I hear Mateo's footsteps come up behind me and when he stands next to me the crowd erupts into thunderous applause.

Mateo again waves to both sides and then makes his little bow towards me before motioning to me and then the girls, who then start filing off the stage. I stand there, arm in arm with Mateo and when the girls are off the stage, we turn and go backstage. I spent the next 5 minutes taking pictures with all my friends and I asked Eric to text me the list of the stuff he wanted me to get. He offered instead to go with me tomorrow afternoon to help me and I was excited about going out with him and Franco. I finally got to smile, and I am just so happy at how the show went. I get Franco to take my hair down and I spritz it with water and then brush it straight. I got a makeup wipe and wiped my face clean of the makeup and I exited from the back, about 5 minutes after Ava left. I go out with my t-shirt and jeans on and go to approach my group but see Collin and Eden standing there with them, so I detour over to Ella and Mateo and speak to them for a little while, trying to buy some time. I see Ella's parents and they are waving me over, so I head over there and speak to them for a few minutes too. They were really happy with how the show went and told me how stunning the clothes were on me. I reminded them that, "Ella looked just as stunning", and they smiled proudly and looked over at their daughter and Mateo. "He does an excellent job on every single piece he makes for each one of us", I continued to speak. I could tell how happy Ella was, and Mateo was, and that her parents were totally OK with their relationship. That makes me so happy. "I see that they are so happy together Cora, thank you so much for all you have done to get these two introverts together. We noticed that they liked each other, but it could have been years if you hadn't stepped in and kind of pushed them together. Thank you so much," Billie said to me and took me in for a hug.

I saw my dad needing to sit down, so I slipped into the chair next to him. He leans into me and says, "I am so proud of you pumpkin, you owned that runway, I couldn't believe how gorgeous you looked up there".

"Thanks, Dad, that means a lot to me," I told him.

I felt an arm on my shoulder and looked up at my mom standing there, "We are going to have to leave honey, your dad is tired and needs to go home and rest, but I want you to know your dad and I thought you did an excellent job. Ava told us that you were going to go out after the show. I will see you when you get home honey" my mom told me before walking off to go get the car and bring it around for dad.

"Great job Cora," I heard Catherine say, and I got up to hug her.

I introduced her to my father, and a few minutes later she helped me, and we both helped him out to the car so she could meet my mom. My mother wanted to meet her and thank her for her help with getting me the job and was happy to meet her today. "There you are, I was beginning to think you had snuck off" Ava called out when we re-entered the building. There is no dodging it now, I have to engage with the group.

I looked up at Dalton and asked if he and Nicolas were going to be coming with us to the restaurant, and he said that his mom and Emily had mentioned it and that they were going to come, as they missed their time with their "Favorite girl" yesterday.

"Well, you got busy when you saw Eden there, so I can see why. It is OK, I was going to invite Iris and Olivia, as I haven't been spending a lot of time with them, being so busy these days". I tell them as I get my phone out of my back pocket and send them each a text about going to dinner with the group. They asked where, so I had to ask the group.

"Where are we going to eat?" I asked the group.

"Collin is getting us a reservation for Blue Hill, as they can seat a large group", I heard Ava say, and I looked at her with my head tilted, in a "Why in the Hell does he know that we are going out or invited to go with us" kind of look. Apparently, I wasn't stealthy about it, as I heard Dalton and Nicolas start laughing, which gets Catherine laughing too. Mateo wanders up with Ella, and they are looking at us, and I take him and Ella over to the side and ask them if they want to go out to eat with us as well at Blue Hill. They agree to go too, and I figure I will see where Collin goes to sit and I will be at the total opposite end from him as I can get and put my friends next to me as kind of a blocker between us. I am really not looking forward to this dinner now, and that is a shame, as I had been looking forward to it all week.
