Cora's

POV

I had a wonderful day today. I woke up and was surprisingly rested from letting Collin sleep with me last night. I even felt better this morning. We went out to walk around window shopping at the shops on the Seine, and when I saw the riverboat ride, I knew we had a winner. I really wanted to go on it. I got plenty of pictures and I really enjoyed the trip. Collin seemed to be lost in thought for a while, but he seemed to enjoy the riverboat cruise too.

I got several postcards, several to give out and some for me to keep. I got my mom some perfume and a new book for me. I found a shoe store with beautiful shoes on sale and got a pair for Livi, and a pair for Iris. We are almost identical in both our shoes and clothing sizes, I just have the added bonuses on my chest and a*s. We trade shoes all the time as we all wear a 9, so I tried them on to check them out and got them each a pair. That was the big splurge that I had on my trip. Livi and Iris have always helped me out and I was glad that I could get them something special, and nice, that they wouldn't normally be able to get for themselves. On the way to the counter, I saw a pair of black heels that I would love for myself, but I was already spending way too much already, so I put them down and kept moving to the register. Luckily, I had already told my bank that I was coming here over a week ago, just in case I wanted to make some purchases while I was there. While I was window shopping, I saw a lovely, jeweled hair comb clip for my hair with beautiful colors in it, including copper colors, and knew I was meant to have it. I saw another two of them that were just beautiful as well, a beautiful delicate onyx one for Ava, to stand out against her beautiful light blonde hair, and one with beautiful blues and teals to stand out for Catherine in her silver hair. I found five nice pairs of earrings for; Ava, Emily, Ella, Catherine, and Marlowe. I got all the guys: Nicolas, Dalton, Mateo, Franco, and Eric gifts as well. I got Dad, Nicolas, Alderidge, and Dalton nice cufflinks. I got Mateo, Eric, and Franco got the most delicious-smelling soaps. I got them three bars each and they smelled wonderful. I also got my mom, Catherine, and Marlowe some lovely smelling bars as well. I will see if the makeup guy tonight can incorporate my clip into my hair when he does it tonight. He had already texted me to tell me that he would be there at 4 to start getting me ready as we needed to be at the event at 6 pm. I was very happy with my haul and wanted to make sure I could put them all together on the flight back. I got gift bags and tissue paper to be able to put them all together at a local corner store, and I also got everyone several small boxes of macarons to give them to. In the end, I spent about $1,500.00, but I had gotten the unexpected bonuses that fell in my lap, and really, when would I be coming back to Paris? It would be several years at least before I would be able to, especially if I changed my jobs. But that would be OK. I won't turn 25 until February anyway, so I have plenty of time to be able to travel back in my lifetime. Collin seemed amused by how much thought I put into each gift that I bought. But that is how I am. I don't want someone that I thought enough about to just dump them in a drawer and forget it. I want them to love them, and use them, and to think of me, with each use. We got back to the apartment at 3 pm and I told Collin that Eric had called in a favor for me to be made up by a friend of his here, as I really didn't know how to do my makeup yet, as I usually don't wear it. Collin seemed surprised and I told him that I only mentioned it as he would be here in about an hour to do my hair and makeup. I took a long bath and shaved everything and then went into the shower to wash my hair and body. I have bought myself some lovely body wash and lotion that I just loved the smell of and am using the body wash right now. I will use the lotions after I get out. I didn't bring perfume with me. I forgot to pack it, but this lotion smells delicate and flowery, and I love it. I wish I had gotten another set while I was here. I will have to look into ordering it online and shipping it to me if I can. I put my robe on and put my dress on the bed as well as my shoes on the floor, at the end of the bed. I have the tape and I will tape up my breasts later. I am glad Mateo did a halter neck for me as it will be so much easier for me to just slip it on and not mess up my hair and makeup. I heard the doorbell and walked out to answer the door. I saw Anthony through the peephole and let him in. Eric had sent me a picture of him when he had set it up and I have to see that the photo didn't do him justice. He was a very attractive man. I took him back to my room and then went back to get a barstool for me to sit on while he did my makeup. I leave my door partially open as I don't really know him, but I am basically covered by my robe. I showed Anthony my dress and then I got out the comb that I bought and asked him his opinion about using it tonight.

"I think it will be very nice, especially since Eric told me to make sure that your hair is in an updo. I think that it will be absolutely gorgeous in your hair, although I don't know why Eric wants me to put your gorgeous hair up. It would look stunning curled down your back", Anthony tells me.

"Yes, thank you, there is a reason for it, but I appreciate the compliment," I told him.

Anthony gets to work and gets my hair done first. He nods after anchoring the beautiful clip to my hair, so I know that he likes the final effect and then starts on my makeup.

"Your eyes would look fabulous played up, but I am under strict orders not to do that either. I am sure Eric knows what he is doing, so I will just do minimal makeup on you as requested. I don't need to know the reasoning behind it to follow what was asked of me", Anthony said, and then got my face ready. He did a great job, and I looked good, but Cora good, and not Shea good. It was absolutely perfect. When he got done, I hugged him and thanked him, and he beamed that I thought it was perfect. He smiled at me and said, "We both know you could look a lot better, but you have your reasons and I respect that. You will look stunning tonight in your dress. Do you need help putting it on?" He said and then wiggled his eyebrows and winked at me.

"No, I think I got it covered, but thank you" I winked back at him and started to laugh. We entered the hallway for me to escort him to the door and I saw Collin sitting at the remaining barstool watching us. He doesn't look happy right now, and it wipes the smile off of my face. I slid the second bar stool back under the counter and walked Anthony to the door.

"Thank you so much for the help. I couldn't have done it on my own, so I appreciate it", I told Anthony.

"It was my pleasure to help out, plus I owe Eric like 3 favors, so it feels good to get at least one of them off my debt. You look stunning Cora; I hope you have a great night", Anthony said, then gave me a hug and walked out the door.

"Why did you have a man in your room, Cora?" Collin asked me.

"I told you that I had a makeup artist coming to do my hair and makeup, Collin. I left the door open too; I don't understand what the problem is. Eric set it up for me, so I wouldn't look bad at the banquet", I told Collin.

"Well, it took me by surprise to hear a man in your room, Cora. I was worried about you, so I looked in. I could see the tops of your breasts as your robe opened up some while he was working on you because you were leaning forward. I am sure that he had an even better view than I did, and mine was really good, Cora" Collin told me in a loud tone, and I jerked in surprise.

"Collin, I was just trying to look nice as I was representing the company and as your plus one. I know how much you value your appearance and that I need to show up for work or a work event, dressed nicely because I represent you. Remember, when people see me, I reflect on you. I am not supposed to embarrass you because of my clothes or appearance. I have tried to follow your instructions from then on, and since you haven't complained again, I assumed you were OK with how I was dressing these days. This is a formal event and I had Mateo make a dress for me, expressly for this, so I would not bring shame upon you or Lauder Financial. So please, I clearly remember what you and Maddie said to me, and I can't have you calling me dowdy or frumpy anymore. It really is quite offensive and hurtful to any girl's ego. I need to go get dressed. I will see you in ten minutes". I turned on my heel and headed back to my room to go get dressed.

I am right on time as we were going to leave here at 10 minutes to 6. I had put on my no-line underwear and go into the bathroom to tape my breasts up for the dress. I put my new lotion on and let it dry. I went ahead and put my shoes on and then opened the neckline by sliding the clasp open for me to get it over my head and not let the cloth touch my face and mess up Anthony's work. I get it situated and then get the clasp attached again behind my neck. I turn and make sure that I can't see my panty line and my breasts are covered well, and no tape is showing. I look good, not Shae good, in the face, but my body looks great in this dress. I am just glad that Mateo didn't "overdo" the dress for me. The neckline is acceptable, and there is no slit. The boldest part of it was that my back was exposed, but it was absolutely beautiful as it moved as I walked. I loved this dress, and I would wear it again to another event. The comb is beautiful, the dress color is beautiful, and I was ready to go get this night over with.
