Cora's

POV

I went to visit Mateo at work on Friday night. Iris was already there and Livi was on her way there now, as were Ava and me. It has been a long month since I got to see them for the Resort wear show in December. I needed to see them and tell them what was going on as I didn't want to put Mateo in a bind as far as the next show. He would need a new showstopper because this one was knocked up for the foreseeable future. I did tell them all about me being pregnant, with twins, last month after I found out, but Mateo just shrugged and went along with it. I don't think that he saw it as the problem that I did yet, but I am now over four months pregnant, and the show is coming up in about three weeks. By then I will be five months pregnant, and I bet I will totally be showing by then. I have really grown in the last month and I have a cute little pooch in my stomach. I love seeing it grow and I rub it, as it is a little itchy on the bottom, but both my mom and Collin's mom had told me to use Shea butter and had bought me additional products to help me with my growing belly to try to prevent stretch marks, but with twins, I don't know if they can be fully dodged. Thomas is following us to the warehouse, and I know he is taking this seriously, as everywhere we go, he is very protective of me. I do not believe that Collin and Maddie have found out that I am pregnant, as things have been really quiet for the last 3 weeks.

I had told mom and dad that I was pregnant about a week after I found out that I was having twins. They were surprised, but they were so happy for me and super excited that I was having twins. The extra room which was a catch-all was being cleaned out for me to use for the twins. I am planning on coming home with them after I have the babies. I have already gotten a metal security door installed at the front and back doors, and I have had a camera doorbell installed and I plan on getting more cameras before I give birth. I am so happy that they are excited about getting grand babies.

Dad has made almost a total recovery; he is stronger and getting around way better. He was declared cancer-free and after a few months, has really shown a huge improvement. He is going out with mom to the grocery store, and they are taking little trips out and about to bakeries, the park, the local hardware store. He is getting stronger every day and talking about seeing if he can get a job to help pay the house payment, to lift that off of me, as the twins are going to be expensive, and he feels like he can do it. So, I am helping him put feelers out. Dalton mentioned that he needed someone at his finance house and would be putting in a good word for him. As far as I know, dad can't work at the same place that I do, but if I need to, I can reach out to Alderidge and ask him if he knows of a business hiring, or since it would be another department, as dad works in marketing if we could both work there.

I have gained 12 lbs. from the pregnancy so far, and according to my doctor, I am right on schedule as most of my weight will be coming at the end of it, in the last trimester. She told me with twins it is normal to gain anywhere from 35 to 45 lbs.

We pulled up to the warehouse and waited for Thomas to pull in next to us. We all head in together and everyone is excited to see us. They have only met Thomas a few times, but since he is there to protect me, everyone likes him and appreciates what he is doing, to keep me safe.

"How are you feeling Cora?" Iris asks me.

"Fine, a little tired, but fine," I told her.

"Well, you look beautiful, Cora, but you know you are always gorgeous to us," Eric said, and Franco nodded in agreement.

"Hey Cora, I am glad that you are here, we have some big news ourselves and we are just waiting for Livi to get here before we spill it, so make yourself comfortable, she should be here in the next few minutes" Ella called out to me and was smiling a really big smile. I wonder what the big news is. They may have found a new show stopper to replace me, and it will make me a little sad, as I really liked it being me, but they can't hold up progress on my account. I don't want his line to suffer or stop growing because of me. I decided that I would take the news with grace and smile and accept it, and if they want me back after the babies, I would be glad to do it.

Livi comes in and greets everyone and comes over to the couch I am sitting on, and sits next to me. Ava is on my other side. I am glad that I am surrounded by friends when my title gets taken away from me. I see Ella and Mateo walk up, and they are both grinning from ear to ear.

"We have some news, we wanted you all to be here for it, so you all replace out at the same time before you try on your outfits for the show next month. Mateo and I are going to be getting married in April" Ella tells us, and we all erupt in congratulations, and we all go to hug them both, excited for them.

"And our baby will be here in June," Mateo tells us and then starts smiling broadly, as we all start the congratulations all over again. I am so excited for them. Plus, our babies will be right there together, and fast friends from the day they were born. I am so excited and happy for them. I start to tear up and before I know it, I am full-on crying.

"Cora, are you OK?" Mateo asked me.

"I am fine, it's these hormones, they are out of control. I am so very happy for you both", I told them.

"Good, because I want you to be my maid-of-honor for me, Cora," Ella tells me, and I start crying even harder.

"Yes, of course, I would love to do it," I told her and went to hug her again.

"I will also have Iris, Livi, and Ava standing with me as bridesmaids, if they would do me the honor," Ella said to them, with each girl accepting quickly.

"I will be having Franco stand as my best man, and Eric standing up for me as a groomsman, if you guys are OK with that?" Mateo asks them.

"I would be honored to stand as your best man," Franco said to Mateo.

"It will be a privilege for me as well," Eric told him.

"Great, now that it is all out of the way, I will measure Franco and Eric to make their custom tuxes, and I will, of course, be making your dresses as well, ladies. Cora, I will wait until about two weeks before the ceremony to get your measurements as I know that you will be getting close to your term in April. We will be getting married on the 17th of April, so I will measure you on the third or fourth, and then add a little to it in case, as I know, you will be gaining more towards the end of your pregnancy", Mateo tells me. "Thank you, Mateo, for working with me. Have you found your next showstopper yet? I completely understand that you will need one, as I will be pregnant and giving birth from the end of May to the middle of June. My doctor can't really narrow it further right now as twins are prone to coming early, so anywhere from the end of May on, I could be ready to go", I told him.

"No, you are my showstopper, gorgeous. It will still be you. I enjoy a challenge and I am able to do something now that I really didn't think I would be able to do. A small pregnancy line, women still want to look nice, even with their ever-changing bodies. I will design for you and Ella, and you will both still model for me. Ella and I had already started designing for you when we found out that you were pregnant. The line will only get bigger as Ella is also pregnant. There are a lot of women in New York who are begging for this type of line. You two are not the only pregnant women in New York City, and I feel like we can make it a small permanent line too, as I am sure that Ella and I will have more children in the future", Mateo tells me. "Thank you for keeping me on Mateo. I truly love modeling your clothes, but I would have stepped aside to make sure that your show was still a success and continued to grow", I told him, and he came over to hug me.

"We are all in this together. Sink or swim. But I will be proud to have you on my runway at your normal size, or when you are about to give birth. You are beautiful regardless, both inside and out, and I couldn't be happier about you modeling for me, Cora. I am always proud to have you wear my clothes. Also, we will be clearing up a few things at the interviews after the show. Maddie lied to them, and I and Ella were going to set them straight. I will not let that slut make you look bad. We are going to get it all straightened out. I am also having Maddie served when the show starts and I will announce that both you and I will be suing her personally for slander, and you and your father for assault. It was recorded and I plan to take whatever measly funds that she has, for slandering not only you but including me and causing my fiancé stress while she is pregnant. We will not be mentioning your pregnancy, but you can tack that on for the trial if you want to, because it will be a while before it gets to trial, and by then they will all know about your pregnancy. I want everyone to know her for the lying b***h that she is. She will think twice before slandering us, or anyone else again", Mateo says, and I am glad that he is going to get the record straight.
