Blake's POV

Five years have elapsed, marking a significant period of transformation within the werewolf realm.During this relatively brief timeframe, two pivotal events unfolded, forever altering the fabric of thewerewolf world.

First and foremost, a formidable alliance materialized, spearheaded by the Blood Hound Pack, whichcompelled other packs to join its ranks and extend support.

Failure to comply with this coercive demand meant certain annihilation, as witnessed with the tragicfate of the Red Moon Pack. Fear gripped the hearts of all, leaving them with no choice but toacquiesce and join the formidable alliance.

The second event that reverberated across the werewolf domain was the sudden disappearance oftwo prominent packs, the Red Moon Pack and the Silver Pack.

The entire werewolf community was aware that the Alliance had obliterated the Red Moon Pack, leaving no trace of its existence.

However, the enigma surrounding the Silver Pack’s vanishing perplexed all. Speculations ran amok, with some conjecturing that they, too, fell victim to the Alliance's wrath, while others suggested theywere forced into hiding after enduring relentless attacks.

Rumors even circulated that their Alpha, the esteemed Lycan King Blake, had succumbed to a fatalassault, thereby compelling the pack to seek sanctuary. Nevertheless, the truth remained shroudedin mystery, known only to a select few. What remained certain, however, was that the Blood HoundPack, under the reign of its Alpha, Kain, had ascended to a position of power, effectively governingthe entire werewolf realm.

As time inexorably marched on, the tumultuous skies gradually settled, symbolizing a period ofrelative tranquility. The world underwent profound changes, and I, too, found myself transformed bythe shifting tides of fate.

Gazing through the window, I surveyed the once meticulously manicured garden, now overgrownand transformed into a dense forest.

The Silver Pack, that for a time exposed themselves to outsiders, had seemingly vanished without atrace. In its place, a labyrinthine thicket of towering trees and dense vegetation concealed the pack'sinner sanctum, effectively thwarting prying eyes. Stepping foot within this forbidden forest invitedperil, as an intricate network of traps lay in wait, poised to claim the lives of unwelcome intruders.Over the course of the past five years, during the Silver Pack’s self-imposed exile, I had diligentlyfortified our territory, transforming it into an impregnable fortress. Every nook and cranny nowbristled with meticulously placed traps and impromptu defenses, designed to repel any unwelcomeincursion.

Furthermore, each member of the pack had undergone rigorous training, molding them intoformidable warriors capable of attacking their enemies with lethal precision.

In the span of a mere five years, the Silver Pack, once teetering on the brink of collapse, had risenfrom the ashes, reclaiming its former might and resilience.

"Indeed, everything has changed... Even the garden that once held your affection has vanished," Iwhispered softly, my voice betraying a tremor beneath my ostensibly composed exterior. Closingmy eyes briefly, I reopened them, a mask of unyielding detachment replacing any trace of emotion."Yet, the one who has undergone the most profound change... is none other than myself,” Ideclared, my tone icy and devoid of warmth. Throughout these passing years, I had honed myselfrelentlessly. My physical form had grown stronger, my primal instincts sharper, surpassing the zenithof my previous capabilities. However, the most crucial transformation took place within my verycore.

Gradually, I erected impenetrable walls around my heart, rendering it impervious to the influence ofothers. I had truly and completely changed into the feared Lycan King, the undisputed Alpha of theindomitable Silver Pack.

"Why... can't I still replace you?" I squeezed my hands tightly. It has been five long years, but my effortsyielded no results. There wasn't even a single clue about Chloe's whereabouts.

"Is it possible that you started a whole new life somewhere else? And in that new life... I don't have aplace anymore?" I whispered, wearing a cold smirk on my face.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"Blake?" Arthur, with his familiar face, appeared. Compared to how Arthur used to be, always playfuland friendly, he now showed respect and caution towards me. The friend I once had vanished, andin his place stood a loyal subordinate.

"Are you available? I have some things to report,” he asked respectfully. I glanced at Arthur andmotioned towards the sofa with a plain expression.

Arthur didn't say anything and instead sat at the sofa. Before he could start, I asked, "Have youfound any clues?"

Something flickered in Arthur's eyes before he sighed and shook his head. "Our spies came back. They found no clue on where Chloe might be..." Arthur said straightforwardly.

“Blake... please forgive me for bringing up such a sensitive subject,” Arthur hesitated, his voice lacedwith caution. "But are you absolutely certain... that fateful night, Chloe didn't meet her endalongside the Red Moon Pack?"My expression remained unchanged, but my eyes grew colder at themention of that night. The events that unfolded then had sent shockwaves throughout the entirewerewolf community. In the span of a single night, countless lives were lost, and the world wasbathed in crimson, both in the sky above and on the ground below.

No member of the Red Moon Pack was spared on that gruesome night. Every one of them met theirdemise by the order of Kain, the despicable Alpha of the Blood Hound Pack, who had them allbeheaded. Chloe, the daughter of the former alpha, was not exempt from this fate. Everyonebelieved she perished that night, along with the rest.

Everyone, except for me.

Gently, I looked down at my chest, feeling the familiar warmth that resided in my heart, a profoundconnection that confirmed Chloe's continued existence. Not only had she survived, but she had alsoawakened her dormant wolf, growing stronger with each passing day.

"She is alive," I stated simply to Arthur. In the past, my emotions would have been tumultuouswhenever I spoke of Chloe. But over the years, I had taught myself to remain indifferent until hername could escape my lips without any visible reaction.

"Blake..." Arthur's voice wavered, his uncertainty palpable. "We employed our best spies, searchedtirelessly in every corner. Chloe, I believe she might really be..." He trailed off, leaving the rest of hissentence unspoken. Yet, I understood his implication—that Chloe likely hadn't survived.

Furrowing my brows, a chilling aura radiating from my body, I felt a surge of anger. But it wasn'tdirected at Arthur; it stemmed from a different source. A mocking smile curved upon my lips.

"Not only is she alive, Arthur. Chloe... she has successfully awakened her wolf,” I revealed, causingArthur's eyes to widen in astonishment. Paying no heed to his surprise, I placed my hand over myheart and continued, devoid of any emotion, "Within the depths of my chest, I sense the bond withher wolf. Every day, it strengthens further. Thus, I know without a doubt that she lives."

Arthur fell silent, contemplating my words for a few fleeting moments before finally speaking, hisvoice filled with realization. "If you can feel her wolf's connection, then it means..."

"It means she can also sense mine. If she desired, she could have easily reached out to me," Iconcluded his sentence, my tone tinged with bitter self-mockery. "There is only one possibleexplanation,” I added, my voice carrying the weight of truth. "Chloe... she has chosen to cut all tieswith me, completely erasing me from her life."

“Blake...” Arthur stood, completely silent, his eyes filled with complicated emotions

“That's how it is,” I replied without emotion. “After all, five years have passed, and so many thingshas changed,” I added coldly.

While the room was filled with tension, suddenly, the door burst open. Then, a small boy with thesame dark hair as mine ran inside, his big eyes twinkling as he looked around the room. And whenhe looked at me, a big smile appeared on his little mouth. Suddenly, the coldness around my bodydisappeared as I looked at the young boy.

"Big changes such as this one,” I said with a smirk.

“Dada!” The boy screamed before lunging towards me.
