Chloe's POV

The momentary silence caused me to recover and realize. Everyone in the room were now focusedon the group who has entered the banquet hall in such an imposing manner.

As the music stopped, gasps and murmurs were heard all around creating a tense atmosphere. Thegroup marched with an aura that is sharp and deadly, not losing to the aura that Kain releasedearlier.

As they passed through the crowd, the temperature in the banquet seemed to have dropped byseveral degrees, leading the other guests to frown and shiver.

They were people who wore silver full face masks, which left everyone with no way to know whatkind of expression they were having at the moment.

All that everyone could see were the cold shadowy eyes staring straight at one direction... thatseemed to be towards... me?

No...

It was not towards me... but towards the person standing just behind me... Alpha Kain!

I watched as they approached in our direction, although deep inside I was still calm.

Whoever they were, they were still a part of the Blood Hound Pack, a force that I have to eliminatein the future!.

However, right now, I am using the identity of a small pack Alpha, Aira. As such I acted scared out ofmy wits, my body cowering as it seemed to automatically step sidewards to give way to them andapproach Kain.

The mysterious pack did not even pause and went straight in front of Kain who had a pleased andsurprised expression on his face.

Just as they were a few steps away from Kain, the mysterious pack bent one of their knees andsaluted Alpha Kain in unison, “We, the Frost Blade Pack has come to show our support, Lord Kain!"“Frost Blade Pack... Alpha Sabre.... Those were kind of familiar...” I thought to myself as I tried toremember who they were in my head.

“It's the mysterious pack based in the Tundra of the North!" Just as I was about to space out tothink, one of the elders beside me suddenly exclaimed.

"Ah isn't that the pack who is known to be ferocious and skilled in assassination? I believe that theynever ever showed their faces... They were even more mysterious than the Silver Pack, almost likethey were a myth! How come they would suddenly appear here now?!" The others asked in surprise."Why would they not? The greatness of the Blood Hound pack had already spread in all directions!And to even think that two of the most legendary packs disappeared as the Blood Hound Pack roseto greatness could have made the Frost Blade Pack initiate to submit to them!”

“Frost Blade pack... I see..." Hearing the heated discussions around, I finally remembered theinformation about this pack.

Just less than a year ago, the news about the ever secluded pack came out. It is rumored that theycame out of their seclusion to join forces with the Blood Hound Pack.

I remember our spies talking about it but no further news nor rumors came after. Eventually weruled that this was just one silly rumor that was brought by those who wanted to fawn over theBlood Hound Pack.

To think that it was true...

“It seems like they were able to replace a common ground and finally agreed to become allies.”Through the mindlink, I contacted Vanessa and the rest to give the information. “For now, just actcarefully and observe as much as possible. Little is known to this pack and we cannot revealourselves carelessly when there is such an enemy like this...”

"Alright... I feel the same as welll” Vanessa voiced her opinions and the rest also acknowledged myorders.

“My... my! I never thought that you'd come! Alpha Sabre!” Alpha Kain stood from his seat andapproached the men.

“Pardon us for coming uninvited, we heard about what happened and have come to express ourgood will. Lord Kain, I hope you don’t mind.” The central figure of the mysterious pack, Alpha Sabrecoldly replied.

Alpha Kain let out a hearty laugh as he realized the reason why the uninvited guest had come, andwas extremely pleased.

He beckoned the servants to prepare a grand table for the guests and invited all the Alphas to join,of course that includes me, “Alpha Aira’.

When everyone at the table was settled, Alpha Kain raised his glass and stood up.

“Most of you may have already figured out who these guests were, but I'd like to use thisopportunity to announce who they were. They were our newest allies, a new addition to the BloodHound Empire. The pack that would be my cold merciless blades in the shadows and the fangs thatwould pierce behind the enemies lurking in the darkness, the Frost Fang Pack!”

As soon as Alpha Kain's words finished, everyone cheered in excitement. The elders and the reststarted to sing praises to Alpha Kain's foresight and Alpha Sabre’s presence.

But amidst all the jovial mood and the liveliness of the party returning even more intensely thanbefore, my heart was shaken at the uneasy feeling I felt at the moment Alpha Sabre spoke.

Toward him, I feel strangely uneasy. I could not even comprehend if it was because of hostility orcuriosity. Even more baffling was the fact that my eyes were now focused on him which made mychest feel a sense of confusion.

“Call them in!" At his words the doors opened once more and several seductively dressed womenentered.

I watched as the women surrounded our tables and flaunted their bodies seductively to the men. Inan instant, the party suddenly turned into something carnal.

Some Alphas already started to play around with the women, joined by Alpha Kain as an amorousatmosphere invaded the entire banquet hall. To my surprise, this was not only happening on theAlphas table but in every corner of the hall.

My eyes fixated at Alpha Saber, with two voluptuous women approaching him while they swayedtheir bodies in their partially naked garments.

I felt a strong sense of discomfort as I watched this happen, but before I could control my emotionsfrom leaking out, Alpha Sabre whose expression I cannot see due to the mask suddenly lifted hishead and looked in a direction.

For some reason, my breathing stopped as I had a nagging feeling that he just looked at mydirection.

While this happened, Alpha Kain's eyes drifted toward me and the rest of the female Alphas. Hesmirked as he uttered, “Don’t worry, I have prepared some for you too.”

At his words, a line of men groomed and well built all came toward the Alpha’s table with the intentto also do as the batch of women did to entertain the male Alpha’s.

I felt like retchting at the sight of a different man going after me like that. My body startedshuddering as it prepared to walk out of the place regardless of the consequence.

I prepared myself to stand on my seat as soon as I saw two men approaching my direction when Iheard two blood curdling screams at the other side of the table.
