Blake

I no longer wasted time behind but instead dashed forward as fast and far as I could.

Regardless of the hindrance in front of me, may it be the rock formations or the heavy resistancefrom the wind, I did not care and just moved forward.

For I know that behind me was someone actively pursuing to kill me at once.

Once I had effectively gotten far from the premises of the hidden laboratory, I took advantage ofthe terrain I was so familiar with from spying on Blood Hound's area for so long and managed todraw him near a place I could use to hide and confuse him.

It was a downward cliff with a lot of trees and crevices I could blend myself with. Thankfully, Chloeand Arthur had already made me some potions to completely delete my scent which helped mebecome untraceable thus far.

However, wherever I tried to flee or hide, I would sense that the pursuer would also go in the samedirection that I was in.

After some time, I finally figured out that the pursuer was not actually tracking my scent, but thescent of the poison bottles I took from the laboratory.

Realizing this, I knew that I had two choices.

First and the easiest one would be leaving these poison vials behind and going on my way alive. The second was to fight and stay alive to bring the poison vials to Chloe and Arthur so that theycould ultimately help us in the upcoming war.

Of course, there is no need for me to think about it deeply. I must protect the poison vials and facethe person head-on. However, I still frowned at the fact that the one who was chasing after me wasthe strongest among the elders who were with Gauss earlier on.

If a fight would happen, then it might cause a huge commotion and bring more fighters in.

“Don't think that you could escape from me... I have already locked down the scent you carry!”“Better get out and clean your neck for me... for whatever you do the outcome will be you dying bymy hands!” Standing between the shade of the trees, the elder looked around trying to trace mylocation.

He had a strong build and tall stature, but the most terrifying thing about him was his ruthless eyeswhich were second only to Kain's. One look and you would know that many had already died by hishands.

“Eron... what do you think?” observing my enemy while being embraced by the darknesssurrounding me, I asked my wolf.

“He may not be someone we could easily take in one blow... But he may just be the perfectopponent to gauge how strong we have been.” Eron replied.

Having to hear my wolf's opinion I thought deeply about what I have at my disposal

It was just me and Eron, coupled with the few poison vials in my hand. Eron’s desire to check outhow strong we have gotten helped my resistance to fighting head-on. Even so, I still wanted tofinish the fight as quickly as possible.

That is because even as I stood there, many more elders might wake up from a daze and also followus.

“Let's go then...” I told Iron and immediately attacked.

Crack!! Boom!

Ignoring the obstacles, Eron and I combined our powers to attack the elder.

“Urkk!” The elder was indeed a veteran in fighting as he was able to quickly guard himself from theblow we just attempted.

Even so, I saw his face contort when a mouthful of blood escaped from his mouth. It seems that ourfirst attack managed to damage his internal organs causing him to bleed

“You! B*stard!” He glared at me and shouted.

Gritting his teeth, he tried to figure out who I was but because of my clothes, he could notrecognize who I was. As such he immediately shifted and charged toward me, his claws targeted myface as if wanting to know who was behind my disguise.

I won't let you!” I thought as I moved to catch his large paws. Despite our difference in forms, I stillmanaged to catch one of his paws and swung it far towards the trees.

Bang! Bang! Bang!!

Several trees were snapped like twigs when his wolf body crashed on it. But he immediately got upand started attacking once more.

We exchanged blows until I figured out that while it was not easy to take him out, it was also nothard for me to defend myself against him.

In short, we were in a stalemate.

The elder seemed to have figured out this matter as well and so he retreated in a distance andshifted back to where his robes were.

“You spy b@stard... I didn't think that you would be so hard to kill...” He said as he slowly picked upthe robes.

I glanced at him, not letting my guard down... I'm not sure why he had transformed back but myguts told me that he was up to something.

“But fret not our fight will end right now...” The moment he said this, he took a vial from his robeand attempted to take it.

“Blake... don't let him consume that... It's bad news!” Eron immediately alerted me, his voice filledwith panic.

Not sure why he was certain of that, I still moved and attempted to grab the vial from his hand.

I managed to get there on time and snatch the vial, however, several droplets landed on his face, like blood splattering from the people he killed.

"Hehehe... you think that you could stop me just because you snatched the vial?? Too bad, just adrop of this will do wonders to me...” The elder said these words as he transformed back.

"Keep that bottle with you...” Eron said before warning the two of us to get ready.

In the blink of an eye, I saw how completely different he was now that he transformed once more. His eyes flashed in red light as he bared his fangs angrily, saliva flowing like he was greedy for themeat. His size doubled and this originally brown fur became blood-red spikes.

"Blake... this is bad news..." I immediately felt Eron’s grim apprehension as we watched theopponent change just because of the substance in the vial.

I welcomed his attacks with great difficulty, reciprocating them with something much more painful. But the more he was hurt, the more violent he would become.

“There's no way we can keep fighting on this scale... Blake... the enemies will soon notice.” Eron saidto which I knew the meaning.

Because once I shifted, the opponent would know that I was the Lycan king. As such, I have to endeverything the moment I shift and escape even before any spectators arrive.

“Let's go!” I said as I rushed toward the elder once more.

Before I could reach him, using Eron’s explosive power, I jumped midair blocking the moonlight. There I transformed quickly and my jaws aimed straight at his neck.

“Yo...uuu...” Too shocked at the moment he saw who I was, the elder was unable to completelydefend himself and stumbled.

With his neck on my jaw, he struggled with a heavy roar but I pinned him down heavily with myclaws.

The violent roars became agonized growls, the growls became desperate whimpers, and thewhimpers became nothing but a heavy last breath.

Just like that, the elder died at my hands.
