Poem 16 - Darkness surrounds
Being in this world,
Darkness surrounds.
Amongst all of us, who will reach the darkness, and who the light?
Circling and circling among this universe,
The world of illusion,
In this deaf world, a leaf falls to the ground,
Seeing a person walking, neglected and hurt,
Heart cracked into pieces, like a porcelain doll.
The light doesn’t reach, darkness surrounds.
The person cries out.
Who broke you? Who shattered your heart?
They ask, just to get neglected.
Always there for them, they’re nowhere for you.
Seeing a person walking, neglected and hurt, jealous but loving,
Who did this to you? Who ruined you?
Standing on the edge of the roof, a part of you dying,
Pulled you back to see you crying, a portion of you has jumped already.
A deaf unrealistic world, a never existing universe,
A world of illusion.
It all seems so real, yet, none of it is.
I’d rather stay in my illusion than face the real world.
I pulled you back, to see you die.
Heart shattered like a porcelain doll,
Who did this to you, who hurt you?
They ask, only to be neglected again.
In this deaf world, darkness surrounds,
Light far away, unreachable,
An endless abyss of suffering, in which nobody cares,
Darkness surrounds.
In this black word,
The colors have faded,
Can you replace the pieces and fix what you broke?
Always there, they’re nowhere.
Years filled with emptiness,
An endless abyss is tearing us apart.
Left there to bleed out, replaced, pushed out of your league,
I hate you for that,
I hate myself for that.
