Figment of Dreams
Chapter 29: Run

The week had been fascinating to say the least. I had finally taken the next step in our relationship with Kai and it had changed everything. However, it was training time with Ash today.

The bastard made me run for miles after him, around the property of the academy. Our fight training had shifted to a bit of endurance. After about an hour, I really couldn’t run anymore.

We had three hours scheduled together and after about four weeks of cold war we were now back to speaking terms.

Sort of.

‘Stop… stop… I quit.’ I mumbled while planting my ass down on the grass and spraying my entire water bottle over my body. I was so hot I could combust.

I was breathing so heavily I thought I was hyperventilating. Expecting a whole shitload of crap from my mentor I was not expecting him to gleefully join me.

’That was good… real good. I had no idea your condition was that great.’

I side eyed him. ‘You are kidding right? I thought we were doing 15 miles today? That was only 10.’

‘I had to see what I was working with. Most students throw the towel in the ring a few miles back.’

I stared up at the sky again. ’You are an asshole. I’m sure of it now. I used to think you were the nice twin you know.’

He laughed at that. ‘That’s actually really funny because I was never seen as nice before. Oak is ten times the man I am.’

‘No kidding….’ I snorted. That obviously hurt him more than I thought it would because he instantly tensed up.

‘So did Kai give it to you yet?’ his tone a little angry.

I grunted. ‘There went our nice little moment.’ He was always trying to rile me up.

‘Just curious…’

’It’s none of your business Ash.’

‘So he hasn’t fucked you yet? What a tool bag!’

I snapped my neck to the side, giving him the dead stare. ‘As a matter of fact we did have sex last night. I’m still sore from all the positions we tried.’ I smirked at him and sprung to my feet. Leaving him flabbergasted on the grass. I saw his entire smug expression drop to disappointment and I loved every second of it.

He quickly recovered and ran after me. ‘Well… I hope you had fun.’ His tone had shifted. I had seriously got him. I feigned a sideburn. As he came to check on it, I added.

‘Shit that doggy style surely did me wrong today.’ I could barely contain my laughter.

‘Okay that’s enough.’ He snapped with anger now lining his voice.

‘What, all of a sudden not so interested anymore in my sex life? What’s gotten into you Ash. Please do tell.’ I stretched out my arms and maintained eye contact. I was loving this.

He glared darkly at me and drank from his water bottle with big gulps before speaking.

‘I don’t need details. Scratch I ever asked.’

‘Damn it, I was just about to tell you how many times he has made me come.’ I shrugged and walked away from him with a quick turn on my heels.

It stayed quiet for a while, I was afraid I had overdone it. Until he yelled.

‘Hey, our training is not yet done!’ he snapped at me. ‘Come back here!’

‘Okay, moody two shoes. Don’t bite my nose off will ya.’

Back in the gym he had me do fifty push ups and fifty pull ups. He was working me harder than usual. After that we still had half an hour of fighting to do.

For one of the first times in a long time I got him quicker than usual. His thoughts distracted. As I straddled him and gloated down at him. He stared up at me with the strangest expression on his face. He swung his body over mine, trapping me on the floor beneath him.

‘Cheater….’ I told him breathlessly. Licking my lips. As they were a little dry. We were both breathing heavily. Like we had just run a marathon.

‘Whose the cheater?’ he responded ominously. That really hit home because he knew what a weak spot that word was for me. I hated cheaters with a passion and even though it had only been a kiss, I still felt bad about it. He saw the expression on my face and softened his brows.

‘Fuck it, don’t look at me like that. Those Bambi eyes, sweet cheeks.’ He swallowed. ‘Sweetheart, I’m sorry I said that’ He had my arms pinned behind my head and I could literally not move. He just stared at me for a while. The two of us breathing deeply, just maintaining eye contact.

’How many times did he make you cum?’ he asked me suddenly, the audacity of the question making my cheeks flush. His warm breath falling over my lips and his eyes locked on them. So that was what he had been mulling about during this entire class.

‘None of your business.’ I responded as casual as I could but it sounded a little breathy. His proximity was doing strange things to my body. Also his body was lined up with mine in perfect unison and I could feel every hard line of his.

At the moment things were extra hard.

His pupils were all the way dilated. Nostrils flared. He was so close to me, we were almost nose to nose. He dropped down closer, slowly.

’Now that you are not a virgin anymore. I want to show you what a real Rainer can do. That dream was nothing.’ He whispered in my ear and kissed my earlobe.

To emphasize the point, he rolled his body and several hard attributes against mine, in a seductively manner. I was about to pass out. I was that attracted to him.

‘Ash!’ I panted. Wanted to sound angry but it came out as a breathy moan. He was doing all kind of strange things to my body and I wanted us to snap out of this. ‘We can’t do that again.’

Meaning the dream stuff and real life stuff. His eyes, big black globes from being so dilated, roamed over my face. His breathing and other things rock hard.

Like, really, really hard.

He barely kissed me, lips just hovering but they were so close I felt their heat. His breath falling over my lips. I could taste the berries he had eaten in the woods still.

‘Next time won’t be in a dream.’

He let me go suddenly and moved of me.

I got to my feet, flustered. My cheeks flushed. Lips and chest too. I saw many things fly through his expression. Anger, hurt, lust. Some emotions I couldn’t place. He paced around the room, hand is his hair.

‘Ash… are you okay?’

He shrugged. Clearly not okay.

I placed my hands on his shoulders. ‘You don’t seem okay. Can you talk to me about it?’

He turned around. Expression dark and unreadable. Still breathing heavy. This thing between the two of us. I had never felt anything like it before or seen anything like it anywhere. I couldn’t even put a word on it. We do barely know each other but somehow I knew everything about him and he did about me. We had a connection I couldn’t explain.

’I definitely cannot talk to you about it.’

He grabbed his bag and practically ran out of the room.
