Flash Marriage: Slow Down Mister -
Chapter 468 Mommy?
Horace and Clara were thinking about five years ago. They did not notice the figure outside.
The small figure curiously watched them look at each other from the crack of the door, and couldn't help but grin happily.
It was Neo, who was supposed to be kidnapped
Neo watched, felt that something was missing. Looking at a bug in the grass, he had an idea.
He threw the bug into the room and it flew onto Clara's body.
Horace and Clara, who had been quiet, hurriedly stood up. Horace thought it was something bad.
Clara clearly saw that it was a bug.
Clara had been afraid of bugs. Her fear became even bigger seeing a bug in this unfamiliar place.
Frightened, her lips turned white.
She didn't expect it to flow onto her.
Frightened, she pounced into Horace's arms as she was dodging.
The collision of chests made both of them quiet. Clara looked at Horace with embarrassment and fear.
Horace reached out and hugged Clara, smirking.
He looked like a cat who had stolen meat.
Outside the house, Neo knew Clara very well. He knew that Clara was afraid of bugs since he was a child.
Seeing things go as he wished inside the room, Neo giggled and planned to make the final step.
The bug in the house was killed by Horace, Clara came out of Horace's arms with a red face and said nothing.
"Clara... Are you okay? Horace asked. He was worried about Clara.
"I am alright," Clara replied. Horace thought she wouldn't speak again, but she said, "Thank you."
Helena was not in good health since Clara was a child. She needed herbs but they couldn't afford the expensive bugs in the prescription. So, Clara had to catch bugs by herself. Every time, she had to endure fear and nausea to catch the bugs.
The cycle went on and on, and Clara was completely defenseless against the bugs. When she saw a bug now, she trembled.
This time, fortunately, Horace was here with her, otherwise, Clara might not be able to hold on until Neo's rescue.
"Don't be afraid, it's all right." Horace looked at Clara's mind and guessed that she might be thinking of the past.
So, he went up and hugged Clara, stroking her back, hoping she would calm down.
After a long time, Clara came out of Horace's arms and proved that she was all right. Horace let her go.
"What's that?"
Clara saw a ball of paper in the doorway, which she hadn't seen just because she was so nervous.
"Stay here, I'll check it." Horace was worried that something was wrong, so it was better for Clara to stay where she was.
"Well, be careful." She looked at Horace and spoke a little worriedly.
Listening to these words, Horace felt touched.
He hadn't heard a word of concern for a long time. She hadn't talked to him for a long time, not to mention talking to him so gently. Thinking of this, Horace couldn't help but smile happily at Clara, then turned to pick up the note at the door.
Unfolding the note, he saw some delicate but childish handwriting.
"Go to bed."
Horace paused when he saw this. Clara was still there waiting to know what happened.
He walked in, gave the note to Clara, and then looked at her expression.
Seeing the note, Clara was shocked at first and then frowned slightly.
Horace thought she didn't want to sleep with him, so she said, "You sleep in the bed, I can sit in the chair."
After saying this, he turned and left, intending to go to the chair.
But before Horace reached the chair, Clara squatted down, trembling.
"Horace." She struggled to call Horace's name, sounding like torture.
Horace went back to her immediately.
Clara was sweating profusely, her hair scattered around her ears. She was frowning.
Seeing this, Horace didn't know what to do.
"Clara, Clara, what's wrong with you?"
Horace was extremely distressed to see Clara suffer, but he didn't know what was happening to her.
Why was she suffering all of a sudden?
He didn't have the time to think so much now. He put Clara's neck on his body to make her feel a bit better.
"Belly... ache. Clara spoke with all her strength.
"Bellyache? How come?" Horace didn't know why Clara's stomach hurt for no reason.
He checked the paper immediately, thinking it might be the cause.
But nothing was found.
"Mom, what's wrong with you?" Just as Horace was thinking about what was going on, he saw a boy open the door and rushed over.
"You..." Horace looked at Neo, stunned.
What did he call Clara? How did he get here?
Horace didn't have the time to ask the questions. He was too worried about Clara.
"Nothing." Clara suddenly looked normal.
Horace was confused.
Didn't she have a stomachache? Why was she suddenly alright now?
"Neo." Clara looked at Neo coldly, waiting for an explanation.
Neo kept his head down, not daring to look into Clara's eyes.
Clara made Neo look at herself and asked, "What is going on? Why did you kidnap yourself?"
Listening to Clara's question, Neo looked at her dumbfounded, and asked, "Mommy, how did you replace out?"
"Although you deliberately changed your way of writing, the word 'bed' gave you away."
Clara knew from the note that the person who wrote it was Neo, so she came out with an idea.
That was why she pretended to have a bellyache.
Neo chagrined when he heard this. He forgot to change his writing habits.
Neo scratched his head helplessly, waiting for Clara's further criticism.
And he secretly decided that he must practice writing in the future. He wouldn't let himself be given away by handwriting again.
