Soon, Logan came back.

"Are you ready to go?" Logan looked at the big bags on the ground, he was planning to help.

"Logan, how dare I ask you to do it?" Clara teased and touched Logan's chin.

She looked very playful.

But soon, her hand was grabbed by a pair of large, strong hands.

Looking up, it was Horace.

"Honey, did you forget that you are married?" Horace raised an eyebrow and looked at Clara domineeringly.

Clara forgot that Horace, the most jealous man in the world, was there.

"Logan, don't help her, let her help herself." Horace knew that Clara had almost done. His words were just to punish Clara.

"Okay." Logan nodded. He couldn't do much when the couples were messing around.

"Logan!" Clara used to be bullied by Horace.

But she didn't expect that Logan, her dear brother, would side with Horace.

"Clara, don't blame me. It's for your sake." Logan looked at Clara with a look of righteousness.

Clara snorted and went on packing.

"Horace, take good care of Clara." Logan had lived with Clara for five years. Now Clara was leaving, he was somewhat reluctant.

He wished Clara to be happy.

As long as Clara was happy, everything became unimportant.

"I will. I promise." Horace looked at Logan and assured him.

He would do it even if Logan didn't remind him.

He got Clara back with great effort. He would be useless if he lost her again.

"I believe in you." When Logan finished saying this, he heard Clara's cry. Logan and Horace hurried upstairs.

Not out of curiosity, but because Clara's cry was too heart-wrenching.

"Clara, what's wrong?" Horace walked into the room but Clara wasn't there.

Logan searched the whole room. There were only things scattered on the floor.

Horace suddenly noticed something was wrong with the window. The curtains had been pulled to the ground, which confirmed that it was the last place Clara stayed. Horace walked toward the window slowly. The closer he got, the faster his heart beat.

He didn't know what he will do if Clara had an accident there.

Three steps.

Two steps.

He was close.

Horace walked to the window, heard the sound of clothes rubbing, and looked straight out the window.

He guessed right.

Clara was pulled down the window and was now on a platform of the air-conditioner.

Horace hurriedly jumped down and snatched Clara back from the woman.

"Clara, are you alright?" Horace checked Clara's body immediately. There was no injury, but he still asked to make sure.

"I'm okay, I'm just scared." Clara looked at Horace, smiled, and shook her head.

It was a smile after danger.

Seeing this laugh, Horace frowned painfully and then looked at the girl next to him.

It was the person who had just been banned by Horace. Horace knew what was going on.

"What the hell do you want?" Clara recognized her and asked.

"I just wanted a job, I wanted to be a good journalist. But you, Horace Kirkland, pushed me to the edge of the cliff."

The woman's name was Iris Meyer. She was from a poor family. Being a successful journalist was her dream.

The question she asked was too tricky. She would do whatever it takes for news. Because of that, she offended many people in the industry.

Her question annoyed Horace this time and she was banned. No one was willing to help her. She was at the end of her wit.

She blamed it all on Horace. But Horace seemed to be very difficult to deal with. So, she set her eyes on Clara, who seemed to be easier to deal with.

"Yes, you don't want anything. But in order to get news, you will do everything. You don't care about the safety of others. You're not doing anything wrong, but you had affected our lives."

"Not everyone is as selfish as you. Go, I'll forgive you this time."

Clara was once a journalist, so she understood.

Fortunately, she wasn't injured this time, otherwise, Horace wouldn't let go of the girl.

"Let's go." With that, Horace carried Clara back to the room.

"Don't be ungrateful." Before Horace left, he reminded Iris Meyer.

"Logan, I am sorry to let you worried." Seeing that Logan had been looking at herself, Clara smiled at Logan to reassure him.

"It's okay, it's okay." Logan looked at Horace and went out.

"Well, don't be afraid, I'm here." Horace knew Clara must be frightened.

He stepped forward and hugged Clara, rubbing her back up and down, hoping to comfort her.

"I am alright. Let's pack our things and go home." Clara wasn't that pretentious either. She was only pulled out of the window, but she wasn't harmed.

Fortunately, there was a platform below, or otherwise, she would've fall. Even if she survived, she might become disabled.

"Okay." Horace stayed closely with Clara, afraid that she would get hurt again.

Logan, on the other hand, felt relieved. So he went to the car, planning to send them home.

"Clara, I'll send the luggage over now. You guys drive home when you are ready." Logan didn't want to disturb them.

Clara knew what Logan had in mind. She nodded in agreement.

"Alright, bye." Then, Logan left.

Clara, Horace, and Neo were left in the house. Fortunately, Neo wasn't in the room when Clara had an accident just now.
