Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 17
By the time Alexis learned about the matter, Scarlett had gone home.
"Lettie, you were too awesome! Hahahaha, I feel good thinking about how Julie must've looked like she has eaten sh*t! Hey, you don't know, right? Someone took a short video at the scene. You looked freaking manly when you spoke! Would you like me to buy you a spot on the trending topics?"
Alexis did not give Scarlett a chance to answer at all." Lettie, it seems like you haven't shown your face for a long time. It's time to let them see how happy you've been living!"
Scarlett rubbed her temples as she had a headache." Don't simply buy trending topics."
Her faint words suppressed Alexis' eagerness." Alright."
"I'm a bit tired, so I'll hang up and go to take a shower first."
"Oh, oh, goodnight, my big baby!"
Scarlett chuckled. "Goodnight."
After hanging up, Scarlett tossed her phone to the side. The screen had just darkened when it suddenly lit up again with a "ding".
She raised her eyebrow and took her phone again. She
found that Alexis had just sent her the short video that was taken by somebody tonight.
Scarlett had little interest in watching it. Just as she wanted to put her phone down, Alexis sent her another message: [I don't know if I'm having a wrong impression, but I notice that Raymond, that scum, seemed to be staring at you all the time!]
Her hand paused for a moment but after just one second, she threw her phone back onto the couch.
'It has nothing to do with me. It's time to shower!'
It was nighttime.
Raymond looked at Scarlett inside the video on his phone. She was still the same person but for some reason, now that he looked at her, he realized that she was not as much of an eyesore as before.
Scarlett seemed to have changed into another person after the divorce. She did not ask for a single penny from him and went to the City Hall to get their divorce licenses with him. After their divorce, she cut everything clean as if she was the one who had never loved before. The person who once could not lift her head after being told off by Jean in the past admitted in front of so many people that she had kicked Julie into the water.
Not only did she admit it, but she also did it very arrogantly.
Raymond put out the cigarette in his hand and was a little annoyed. He did not know why instead of sleeping, he was sitting here looking at his ex-wife on his phone in the middle of the night!
'What the hell!'
The video from that day spread in the circle. There were positive and negative comments on Scarlett by the public.
Some said she did a good job while others said that she was too haughty.
Needless to say, no matter who it was, the most furious one was none other than Jean.
Jean had always felt that Scarlett, who was not outstanding at all apart from her face, was not worthy of Raymond. She did not have a good family background nor was she capable.
As a matter of fact, even after being married into the Shaw family for three years, everything was in vain.
It would have been good if she took the money back then, but she had extravagant hopes.
If Scarlett had not intercepted out of the blue, Raymond and Julie would have long been married.
Julie was not only from a good family but most importantly, she was on the same line as Jean. If Julie had gotten married into the Shaw family, how could Raymond be living outside for so many years? In Jean's perspective, Julie was simply the most ideal daughter-in-law, but it turned out to be Scarlett.
Now, Jean had finally waited until the day of Scarlett and Raymond's divorce, but Scarlett became more vigorous by the day. Just a few nights ago, her ideal daughter-in-law was pushed into the water by Scarlett. Jean was so mad that she could not sleep the whole night.
