Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 416
Raymond took it and looked through it. He remembered what happened last night. "Did you get the statement of that card?"
"We have to wait until the bank opens."
Raymond glanced at him. "Give it to me after the meeting."
"Okay, Mr. Shaw."
An hour and a half later, Frank took the card statement that he had just found out to Raymond. "Mr. Shaw, here it is. There were 10.8 million dollars on this card. The first payment of 800,000 dollars happened on June 3 last year, and the second payment of more than 3 million happened a week later. The next day the rest of the money was transferred to another card.
There were few records of the money being transferred out. Raymond saw them at a glance. "Whose card did the money go to?"
"Tiffany's card."
Raymond snorted. "Tell Tiffany. If I replace my money in this card less than before after I come back, I'll sue her."
He gave this card and the money in it to Scarlett.
If Scarlett hadn't mentioned it, he might have thought that the money in the card was used by Scarlett.
In fact, during the three years of their marriage, Scarlett didn't use his money at all.
When they divorced, she asked for nothing. She didn't even use the pocket money he gave her.
This was Scarlett's money. Whether she wanted it or not, others couldn't steal it from her.
Frank was taken aback. He looked up and saw the gloom in Raymond's eyes. Frank nodded. "I understand, Mr. Shaw." Raymond had to go on a business trip for three days. When Scarlett knew this, she was unwilling to be separated from him.
Hanging up the phone, Scarlett looked at the documents in front of her.
She was a bit upset.
Scarlett felt that she was too clingy. She rubbed her temples, suppressed her thoughts, and attentively read the documents. After signing them, she took her coat, gave the documents to Katherine, and walked out of Mornet.
Just after she got into the car, her phone inside the bag rang.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, took out the phone, and was surprised when she saw the caller ID.
"Grandpa?"
The call was from Rowan. Scarlett guessed that he called her because of the news on Twitter this morning.
"Have you been busy lately?"
"No."
"Then come back and play chess with me when you have time."
Scarlett obediently answered, "Okay, I'll be back after a few days."
Hearing her agree readily, Rowan couldn't help sighing. "Scarlett, Grandpa is not trying to control you, but I saw the online news. Are you and Raymond together again?"
Rowan knew what Scarlett suffered during the three years in the Shaw family.
In Rowan's eyes, his granddaughter was beautiful and smart. There was no man worthy of her!
Raymond had been married to Scarlett for three years, but he didn't cherish her.
Rowan's first impression of Raymond was terrible.
As soon as he heard that Scarlett and Raymond probably got back together, Rowan was very anxious.
Scarlett pursed her lips. "Not yet, Grandpa. But he's chasing me."
Scarlett didn't want to hide it from Rowan. Rowan flushed in a rage, but he was afraid to make Scarlett sad, so he could only suppress his anger. "Scarlett, there are many good men in this world. You're still young. Don't be in a hurry to start a relationship. It doesn't matter whether your boyfriend is from a rich family, but he must be good to you."
Scarlett was touched. She knew that
Rowan cared about her. "I know, Grandpa."
"Remember to come back to see me when you're free. Then I'll let you go!"
"Okay, Grandpa, take good care of your health."
Hanging up the phone, Scarlett looked out the car window. She couldn't help smiling.
Now it was Raymond's turn to suffer what she once suffered.
