Having gotten Rowan's consent, Viviana sat down on the side. "There's no hurry. We may set out after you and Scarlett finish your chess game."

Scarlett thought of Jessie. "Are you sure? Jessie's still waiting downstairs."

"It won't take long. I'll go and change clothes first."

Scarlett glanced at Rowan with a lift of her eyebrows.

She was really uncertain as to how much longer this chess game would last.

But in order not to put Viviana in a difficult position, Scarlett still secretly underplayed her skill.

This was not Rowan's first time playing chess with Scarlett, so he naturally could tell. He resignedly smiled, "Go and keep your aunt company. She's always wanted a daughter whom she can help dress up. You coming back here kind of fulfilled her wish.

Scarlett was faintly disconcerted. "I'll go another round with you when I get back, Rowan!"

Rowan waved his hand. "Just go. Don't feel pressured to come back early. Buy yourself some gorgeous clothes."

"Okay."

Scarlett walked out of the study, returned to her room, changed and then quickly put on some light make-up.

She was well-featured and fair-complexioned, and the make-up was the icing on the cake. She made herself up merely to provide a foil for the lipstick.

Scarlett hadn't brought many clothes with her. To make it more convenient for her to travel, she had only brought a casual long skirt.

But she was so pretty that she looked good in any garment.

Viviana was fairly amazed by Scarlett's beauty when the latter walked downstairs." You look stunning!"

Scarlett smiled, "So do you."

Jessie on the side unnoticeably curled her lip. She thought, 'Your good looks won't do you any good, Scarlett. Soon I'll have Viviana see your true colors!'

The three of them went out together. Half an hour later, their car halted in the underground garage of a large shopping mall.

Viviana entwined her arm with Scarlett's. Not to be outdone, Jessie walked over and twined her arm around Viviana's other one.

Viviana swiveled her head aside to glance at Jessie and said nothing.

Viviana was a regular at the boutiques. She was Rowan Tank's wife. Everybody knew her.

The instant she entered, the saleswoman blocked the entrance.

Previous to this day, when Scarlett had been absent, Viviana had picked out clothes for Jessie every time she came here, but today Scarlett was with her, so Viviana began to look for clothes that suited Scarlett immediately after walking inside.

Scarlett was beautiful, and any clothing looked good on her.

Viviana picked many sets of clothes, and Scarlett who had a good temper tried on them all one by one.

Scarlett kept walking in and out of the fitting room. All those clothes fitted her so well as if they were tailor-made just for her. Even the saleswoman was amazed and had an urge to take pictures of Scarlett, and she couldn't stop complimenting Scarlett.

Viviana said with a wave of her hand," Wrap them all!"

Jessie had just walked out of the fitting room when she heard Viviana's words and gasped in spite of herself. "Aunt Viviana, are you sure you want to buy so many clothes?"

Viviana smiled with a nod, "Scarlett looks good in anything. It's okay. I'll buy them all so she can wear different clothes every day. A woman can never have too many clothes." Jessie's face stiffened momentarily. "Aunt Viviana, how do I look in this dress?"

Jessie's face was fairly pretty, but her figure was much less pleasing to the eye. She had inherited her mother's thick legs. Jessie's legs were not slim or long, and worse still, she was slightly bandy-legged. In fact, this kind of bust skirt didn't fit Jessie, but Viviana was in a good mood, so she just replied, "You look stunning. Have it wrapped up with the others."

Smile instant reappeared on Jessie's face." Thank you, Aunt Viviana."

Viviana gave a chuckle. At the sight of Scarlett walking out, she asked, "Is there anything else that takes your fancy?" Scarlett glanced at the wrapped clothes on the counter, shook her head and smiled resignedly, "These will be enough, Aunt Viviana."

Viviana, however, still had a hunger for more, but she noticed that Scarlett was serious, so she said, "Okay then, let me take you somewhere to buy some handbags."

With that she took Scarlett by the hand and drew her towards the door. "Come on,

Jessie. Let's go to the Cocanel boutique to see the handbags there."

Jessie who was left behind felt faintly sulky, but knowing that Viviana was a generous woman, she followed in their wake.

Scarlett and Viviana had barely walked out of the boutique when someone called after them, "Scarlett, what a small world! I didn't bargain on seeing you here! Did you get caught by your boyfriend's wife again? Do you need me to call the police for you?"
