It could be said that news of the incident caused quite a stir in Juanton City.

Everybody found it difficult to accept the fact that Scarlett had turned from a woman abandoned by a wealthy family into the biggest shareholder of a company.

Apart from anything else, it was common knowledge that back at the time when Scarlett married Raymond, she had no family members attending the wedding, only two friends. It was said that even her dowries were meager, which was why so many people had thought little of her before she married into the Shaw family.

Afterward Scarlett had divorced Raymond.

News of her leaving the Shaw family without taking a penny with her had caused a sensation.

But now rumor had it that Scarlett invested over a billion bucks in Centel. Outsiders couldn't help but suspect that it was impossible.

As more and more people began to compliment Scarlett on her audaciousness and wealth, some discordant voices gradually came to her ears.

One of the social media influencers even typed up an article of over five thousand words within two hours after the occurrence of the incident, explaining speculatively how Scarlett had gotten that much money.

Two conclusions were drawn at the end of the 5000-word article. The first one was that when Scarlett and Raymond divorced, she had taken something with her. Maybe the reason why some people said Scarlett had left the family without taking a penny was because she hadn't demanded any compensation in cash, but she had gotten some fixed assets, such as houses, cars and so on, which explained why Scarlett had still been living in a mansion, driving a luxury car and leading an extravagant life after divorce.

The second conclusion was that Scarlett had gotten the money from her fiancee Larry Tank, or the Tank family.

Both conclusions sounded perfectly plausible and well founded.

Of course, the blogger himself was more inclined to believe that the first one was the truth, for he felt that the Tank family always tended to keep a low profile.

Although over a billion dollars was only a hair off a bull's back to the Tank family, Scarlett was merely Larry's fiancee. There was no way the Tank family could have given her that much money.

Shortly after the influencer posted the article, someone analyzed why Scarlett had invested all her money in Centel to become its biggest shareholder.

And then the Scarlett-Julie-Raymond triangle was brought up. Many people believed that Scarlett was doing this in revenge for what she had suffered back then.

After that, a group of clicktivists began to taunt Scarlett, saying that being rich didn't change the fact that Raymond had divorced her.

Alexis, when surfing the Internet, saw those comments, was infuriated and logged onto her sock account to argue with those keyboard warriors.

But she wasn't cautious enough and blew her cover. She failed to switch between her main account and sock account in a timely manner, and her sock account was exposed. Shortly after Scarlett became one of the most searched names on Twitter, Alexis suffered the same fate. Barely five minutes later, her name rose to the top of the list, replacing Scarlett's.

Bylie saw it and nearly fainted with anger. She promptly hurried out of the training room for novices back into Alexis's office." Alexis, are you out of your mind!?!"

Having blown her cover, Alexis decided to go the whole hog. "Bylie, I can't stand this anymore. Stay out of it!"

Bylie's face blanched. "Give me your phone!

"No!

Alexis could tolerate those trolls cursing her, but she couldn't tolerate them doing the same thing to Scarlett.

Having finished speaking, Alexis quickly logged onto her main account and typed a message. It read "Yeah, it's me. Bring it on if you're as badass as you claim you are, and shut your mouth if you are not! I'm okay with you cursing me, but I'm not going to tolerate you cursing my best friend!"

Alexis had just posted that when Bylie's cellphone vibrated. She had friended Alexis on Twitter. The moment she pulled out her phone, she saw the message sent by Alexis.

Bylie trembled with fury. "Are you trying to get yourself chucked out of the show business, Alexis?!"

Alexis, however, appeared quite composed. "Relax, Rylie. Look, there're a lot of people praising me! Seeing as how things have already come to this, let me chew them out for another two hours, okay?" Rylie had been an agent for many years, but she felt that she would sooner or later die a premature death if she kept working for Alexis.

The news soon came to Scarlett's ears. Her secretary gave her a sketchy account of what had happened and asked, "Ms. Reed, about Ms. Carter..."

Scarlett chuckled, "There's no need to hush it up. Tell my lawyer I need him to draft a couple of indictments for me."

Katherine nodded. "Okay, I'll tell him right away." "Um." Scarlett made a response, pulled out her cellphone and logged onto her account which she hadn't used for a long time.

She had gained a lot of fans after she argued with the trolls online at the award ceremony that night, but she had barely logged onto her account since then. "Sweet Cloud" was like a phantom account.

But now the phantom account came back to life. Scarlett casually took a screenshot of the balance of her bank card and posted it with the words "You have no idea."
