"Mrs. Tucker, it's OK."

Scarlett also felt guilty for Linley's misery. If she had asked Katherine to keep an eye on Linley for a few more days back then, those bad things would not have happened to Linley.

"Ms. Reed, you are so kind. God bless you. It's getting late. Let me make lunch for you.

I am good at nothing but cooking."

"Okay, Mrs. Tucker. Don't worry. I'll stay here and have lunch before I leave."

"Okay! Please watch TV. I'll go make lunch. It'll be ready soon!"

Scarlett didn't watch TV. She went to Linley's room.

After taking the medicine, Linley seemed to be asleep.

Linley was so peaceful that no one could have imagined that she would suddenly scream in agony just a moment ago.

Scarlett thought it was not too bad that Linley broke down in front of her. Scarlett couldn't even imagine how desperate Linley was when hiding in her room alone and trying to end her life in the dead of night. After Scarlett finished her lunch, she gave Mrs. Tucker her personal number and left.

On the way back, she contacted Katherine and let her make an appointment for Linley to see a psychologist and help Linley's parents move.

In the end, Scarlett suddenly thought of something. "Linley's father... Let's hire an extra security guard for our company."

Katherine immediately understood Scarlett's meaning. "I will ask my assistant to arrange for a psychologist."

Scarlett paused. "I need to know everything about Linley's husband, Roland Holden, and the whole Holden family."

Roland's family had some connections locally. He founded a small company and lived a rich fie. In Linley's hometown, his family was famous. "Okay, Ms. Reed."

In the evening, Scarlett finished supper and asked Raymond while wiping the oil stain from the corner of her mouth. "Can you ask Alexander out for me?" Raymond didn't ask her the reason." Tonight?"

"Yes."

Scarlett smiled, but it was clear that she wasn't in a very good mood today.

Raymond held her hand. "What happened, Scarlett?"

Scarlett looked into his eyes and briefly told him Linley's story. "If she hadn't warned me back then, maybe Darnell would have raped me that night. I went to visit her today. She is now having a very bad time. She looks so dispirited. She is no longer as energetic and optimistic as she used to be."

"Scarlett, don't blame yourself. Both you and your classmate are the victims."

Scarlett pressed her lips together for a moment. "You're right, Raymond."

She was going to make Darnell pay the price!

"I am going to avenge Linley on Darnell."

"I'll help you."

Scarlett looked at him. This time, she didn't refuse. "Okay."
