Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 355
Compared to Flora, they looked like they'd just run a marathon and were the ones who needed help, drenched in sweat.
"Thanks." Flora took the water but didn't drink it. She had already eaten too much earlier and was still full.
Just then, Connor walked over, and Jason and the others respectfully stepped aside to make way for him.
"Connor!" Flora's eyes lit up as she threw herself into his arms, nuzzling her face against his chest. Her voice was soft and playful, with a hint of a whine.
The online audience: "???"
What's going on?!
"Tired?" Connor wrapped his arms around her petite frame, a smile playing on his lips.
"I've been running too long. I feel a bit anemic and dizzy," Flora said, looking up at him with a slow-spreading smile. "Connor, you're so sweet. One kiss from you, and I won't feel dizzy anymore." Connor chuckled, gently pinching her chin and lifting her face to plant a quick kiss on the corner of her lips.
Lance, Colton, Jason: "..."
They turned their backs, trying to give the couple some privacy.
"How do you feel now?" Connor asked, his hand still gently caressing her chin.
Flora blinked and said, "Another one might just cure me completely."
Connor's eyes twinkled with amusement as he leaned in, his warm, moist kiss landing once more on Flora's lips. His tongue flicked out, teasing her lips.
"Want another one?" he asked, his eyes narrowing playfully as he looked at her flushed cheeks, his voice smooth and rich like a cello's melody.
A hot breeze brushed past Flora's ear, making her face feel even hotter. She hummed softly, "We'll need to close the door for that."
The national audience watching the live stream: “..."
Are we outsiders now? Is there something we can't watch?
Commenter 1: Ahhh, I thought she was a tough, quiet boss lady, but who knew she could be this sweet in love!
Commenter 2: An instructor and a student's love story! Awww, so heart-fluttering!
Commenter 3: That instructor is so handsome! They're a match made in heaven, I'm so envious!
Commenter 4: Am I the only one who thinks having a boyfriend in college makes a girl seem promiscuous? And she's a national top scorer too, really tarnishing the image of college students. Commenter 5: Yes, you're the only one who thinks that.
Commenter 6: +1 to the above.
Commenter 7: +1 to the above.
A few minutes later, people began to trickle in at the finish line. Kaylee's performance was solid; although she wasn't the fastest, her stamina helped her persevere, earning her a high score of eighty-five. Cynthia crossed the finish line in tears; she had been ready to give up at the halfway mark, but with Eilies's firm encouragement, she managed to complete the race. Upon reaching the finish line, she collapsed to the ground, her hands trembling as she raised them.
"Water, water..." she gasped.
Jason, looking exasperated, handed her a bottle of water. Talk about being dramatic.
...
After finishing the run, everyone was exhausted. They ate and then headed back to their dorms to rest and recharge for the next day's competition.
Meanwhile, the internet was buzzing. Terms like 'University of Maple Grove training assessment' and 'How awesome is national top scorer Flora' quickly dominated online discussions.
It all started when someone edited a video of Flora during the training assessment. In the video, Flora casually picked up a rifle. The sun shone down on her, highlighting the fine hairs on her face, making her look both fierce and proud. While others fumbled with their guns, she swiftly fired three shots!
Bullseye!
Bullseye!
Bullseye!
All three shots hit the bullseye!
But that wasn't all!
