"Clatter-"

Eilies and Cynthia's chopsticks hit the floor.

Dane and Kaylee quietly sipped their water, their calmness almost eerie. They remembered their first time meeting Rafael with Flora; they had been so stunned they nearly froze on the spot.

Only then did Rafael notice the two unfamiliar faces in the booth.

"Are these the roommates you mentioned?" he asked.

Flora nodded casually and waved over a waiter to get clean chopsticks for Eilies and Cynthia.

At that moment, Eilies and Cynthia were beyond shocked, feeling like they had stepped into a surreal world. They couldn't believe that Rafael, who was known online for his cool and aloof persona, kept calling Flora by her name.

Flora, for the most part, would respond lazily, sometimes not even bothering to reply.

Rafael would then look at Flora with puppy-dog eyes. If he had a tail, he probably would have wagged it.

Had they not seen it with their own eyes, they would never have believed that the person now acting so adorably was actually Rafael.

Cynthia glanced at the table full of dishes, on the verge of tears. She had ordered without waiting for Rafael... Would he think she was incredibly rude? And to make matters worse, they hadn't put on any makeup today, their faces pale and tired from staying up late. The more she thought about it, the closer she got to crying.

The meal concluded with Eilies and Cynthia silently fighting back tears and their pounding hearts.

After dinner, Rafael had his assistant take Kaylee, Dane, Cynthia, and Eilies to the entertainment room downstairs, as he needed to discuss something important with Flora.

Flora had agreed to meet Rafael to discuss choreography. Kaylee and Dane had been eager to meet her, so she decided to invite everyone out for dinner.

"Show me your routine," Flora said lazily, propping her head on her hand as she lounged on the couch.

Rafael played the music on his phone, and as soon as it started, his entire demeanor changed.

"It'll do," Flora commented after watching him. "Your movements are precise, but the emotion is lacking. Look, in the chorus part here, your mood dips too low, it's a bit off. And this part..."

Flora patiently explained to Rafael, going over it repeatedly. After an hour of continuous corrections and adjustments, Rafael's performance had significantly improved.

"That's better," Flora nodded in satisfaction. "The parts I mentioned, just practice them three more times when you get home. When do you plan on performing it?"

"I'm thinking of doing it at the University of Maple Grove's welcome party."

That welcome party was going to be a big deal.

Flora clicked her tongue.

The restaurant wasn't far from the University of Maple Grove, just a twenty-minute taxi ride away. Kaylee, Flora, Eilies, and Cynthia fit perfectly in one car. Rafael wanted to drive them, but the paparazzi were too vigilant.

Dane ran back alone; it was less than a half-hour run to Maple Grove College of Physical Education. They often ran in this direction during training.

Back at the dorm, Cynthia and Eilies could no longer keep their cool. They bombarded Flora with questions about her relationship with Rafael.

...

The news of Rafael attending the welcome party spread like wildfire across the University of Maple Grove. Most students there weren't the star-struck type, indifferent to celebrities and singers, but Rafael was an exception.

Rafael's dance carried a unique energy-an energy that seemed to break through the darkness.

He was a beacon for many.
