"Mom, I'm going to make sure they pay for this!" Vivian, bolstered by Madison's presence, felt invincible. She completely missed the subtle warning in Ray's tone and instead became even more brazen. "Mr. Flynn, lock them all up right now!"

Mr. Flynn: "......"

Sis, don't drag me into this mess!

Just as Mr. Flynn was on the verge of tears, caught in a tricky situation, a man burst into the police station from Cornett High School.

"Dad..."

Vivian's confidence wavered when she saw Cody; she hadn't expected him to show up too.

Cody looked frantic, especially when his eyes landed on Connor and Ray. His legs nearly buckled in fear.

Hearing Vivian call out to him, he was so enraged that he slapped her across the face!

Madison quickly pulled her daughter into her arms, shouting angrily, "Have you lost it? Our daughter has been bullied, and instead of standing up for her, you hit her!"

Cody was seething inside. Ignorant woman! Does she even know who she's messed with?

Taking a deep breath to quell the anger and fear threatening to overwhelm him, Cody turned to Connor and Ray, bowing deeply. "Mr. Connor! Mr. Wade!"

His voice was thick with respect and fear.

Mr. Flynn's last hope vanished completely. Cody's behavior said it all - they were indeed connected to the Brimer family!

"Mr. Cody has arrived," Ray said nonchalantly, raising an eyebrow. "Your daughter just mentioned wanting us jailed."

Cody nearly collapsed, trembling as he spoke. "It's my fault for not raising her right. On behalf of my daughter, I apologize to Mr. Wade and Ms. Brianna. We'll do everything to compensate for the trouble and losses caused."

"They hurt our daughter like this! Why should we apologize and compensate?" Madison fumed. Her husband had been neglectful, always off with other women, never caring for her and Vivian.

She had put up with that, but now Vivian was wronged, and he wasn't defending her? Instead, he was making Vivian apologize?

Was her daughter's suffering supposed to be for nothing?

If her husband wouldn't fight for them, she would!

She glared at Ray and his group. "I'm going to sue you for intentionally harming my daughter! I demand legal action!"

Legal action. Connor's eyes, previously downcast, now held a frosty edge. "Moss, show them what the law means."

"Yes."

Moss stepped forward with a stack of documents and a lawyer's letter. "We've established that Vivian, out of personal vendetta, hired people to ambush Ms. Flora and others in the alley, armed with metal pipes and other deadly weapons. We will charge Vivian with attempted murder."

Madison was stunned. How had it escalated to attempted murder?

She had rushed over as soon as she got the news, only knowing that Vivian was hurt by this group.

"Vivi, what's going on?" Madison quickly asked Vivian.

Vivian hadn't expected such a serious accusation. "Mom, don't listen to them! They're framing me! My friends and I were just shopping, and they started it!"

"My friends are still in the hospital, diagnosed with third-degree disabilities. We can put them in jail!"

No one had seen who started the fight, so she figured she could pin everything on Flora. Her uncle had good connections with the police chief; surely, he would protect her. The classic case of not fearing boiling water until feeling the heat.

"Vivian, shut up!"
