Flora watched her leave and quickly broke away from the kiss.

She placed her hands on Connor's chest and put some distance between them.

"Bro... brother?"

She called him that on purpose. Normally, Connor would have been thrilled, but since Libby had just called him that, the term now made him feel a bit queasy. "We're not close... don't be mad..."

He was worried Flora might think he was involved with other women.

"Try getting close and see what happens," Flora huffed lightly.

"I wouldn't dare."

Connor replied obediently, relieved to see she wasn't angry.

"Ahem, Flora, I'm fine now. You two chat; I'll head back to the dorm."

Kaylee coughed lightly, her cheeks still flushed.

After all, she was still single and found the couple's interaction rather embarrassing.

"It's almost noon. Let's grab lunch together before heading back."

"No, I'm not that hungry. I'll just get something from the cafeteria on my way."

She knew when to give the couple some space.

Flora understood she probably wasn't in the mood to eat and nodded, "Go rest, and call me if you need anything."

"Okay." Kaylee nodded obediently, feeling a pang of envy as she looked at Flora, "It's so good to have you as a friend."

Having Flora as a friend was the greatest blessing of her life.

After she left, Connor also got into the back seat of the car.

Moss had just come out from the office building and took the driver's seat.

Connor and Flora headed to their usual restaurant for lunch.

As they got out of the car at the restaurant, Moss went to park.

"Wait!"

Flora stopped Connor just as he was about to enter.

"What's wrong?"

Connor, puzzled, followed her gaze and saw Aisha through the café window across the street.

She was sitting by the window, opposite another woman.

The two seemed to be discussing something but weren't agreeing, the atmosphere tense.

The woman suddenly stood up and slapped Aisha hard!

Aisha was stunned for a moment before she threw her coffee cup at the woman and then left with her bag in big strides.

"Who is that woman?"

Flora frowned.

The cold, sharp look in the woman's eyes made her uncomfortable. It felt like something was about to go down.

"Ms. Brigid of the Brimer family, the wife chosen by Ray's family." Connor replied indifferently.

He took out his phone and sent Ray a message.

"Aisha just got slapped."

After dinner, Flora returned to the dorm.

Eilies and Cynthia had also heard about Kaylee's fight and guessed that Flora's rush out was for Kaylee.

Knowing everything had been taken care of, they went back to their studies, relieved.

Finally, the much-dreaded midterms arrived at the University of Maple Grove.

The first exam was in computer science.

The test covered basic knowledge like office software and web design. It lasted an hour, but Flora finished in fifteen minutes and left. Libby glared at her retreating figure.

Knowing Flora was good with computers, it wasn't surprising she finished so quickly.

Hmph.

The next exam was in their major, and everyone was eager to start, but the moment they saw the questions, they nearly cried. Could the test be any harder?
