Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 545
Flora's perfect score was nothing short of mind-blowing.
She stayed silent, though the cold aura around her seemed to intensify.
"What, cat got your tongue?" Libby sneered, trying to provoke a reaction. "The study materials were from me."
The tension in the room was palpable when Shawn finally spoke up.
He hadn't expected the review materials he gave Flora to be used against her as evidence of cheating.
"You gave them to her?" Mr. Trevor asked, clearly surprised.
Shawn was a standout in the medical department, fast-tracking through his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. He knew the professors' question patterns well, so it was believable that he had compiled those materials.
"Flora is someone I hold in high regard. I thought giving her a set of my study notes wouldn't be an issue. Besides, she aced the test, and my notes had just a few similar questions. Calling it cheating is absurd."
"The overlap is too much to ignore! Who knows if you gave her even more insider info secretly?" Libby shot back, not ready to let it go.
She knew Shawn was a big deal in the medical lab, someone even her cousin feared. But she wasn't part of that elite circle, so she wasn't intimidated by him.
And now that she had something on Flora, she was going to use it.
"Mr. Trevor, everyone, you all know Flora hardly attended any specialized classes. How realistic is it for her to score perfectly?"
"Why is it so unrealistic? Just because you can't get a perfect score doesn't mean others can't either," an elderly voice suddenly cut through the room.
"Dr. Ray!"
Shawn was stunned at the sight of the newcomer.
Why was Dr. Ray here?
Not just Shawn, Mr. Trevor and the other teachers were equally shocked and quickly greeted him.
But Dr. Ray didn't even look at them. He headed straight for Flora.
She wasn't wearing a mask, and her breathtaking beauty was unmistakable-the same girl who had left a deep impression on him at the night market.
It really was her...
Dr. Ray's expression was complicated.
He was surprised to hear about Flora's perfect score and couldn't help but search her name online. When he saw her photo, he couldn't believe it and came rushing over, just in time to hear Libby's accusations.
The paper Flora had helped Shawn edit was proof of her solid knowledge.
And that night at the market, her quick and steady hand during the surgery had impressed him deeply.
Whether it was theoretical knowledge or clinical skills, Flora was top-notch. Cheating for a midterm? Ridiculous.
"Dr. Ray, what brings you here?" Mr. Trevor asked cautiously.
"Hmph."
Dr. Ray snorted.
"If I hadn't come, would our lab's people be wrongfully accused? Honestly, making our top student take a freshman midterm seems a bit unfair."
Dr. Ray's fiercely protective tone made Flora glance at him, and even Shawn found himself looking at Dr. Ray a few more times.
Dr. Ray was acting weird today...
Didn't he dislike Flora?
Why was he now defending her so eagerly, even calling her one of the lab's top students?
And his attitude seemed almost...friendly?
Mr. Trevor, the other teachers, and Libby were all stunned.
Wasn't Dr. Ray supposed to dislike Flora, even going as far as kicking her out of the lab? But this didn't look like dislike at all; he seemed to be treating Flora like a treasured gem.
