Monday.

Medical Laboratory.

Dr. Ray came in surprisingly early!

As soon as he stepped inside, he couldn't help but look around, but there was no sign of Flora.

It was still early, so there were only a handful of people in the lab. They greeted Dr. Ray as soon as they saw him.

"Good morning, Dr. Ray!"

Shawn walked in with his backpack and politely greeted Dr. Ray, who was already at his station.

"Why are you just getting here now?"

Dr. Ray glanced behind Shawn, still not seeing Flora.

Shawn was confused. It wasn't late at all; in fact, he was fifteen minutes early.

Why did Dr. Ray say "just"?

"Dr. Ray, are you waiting for Flora?" Shawn had a sudden realization.

"Did she mention she was coming?" Dr. Ray seemed a bit uneasy. After all, he was the one who had kicked Flora out, and now he was eagerly hoping she'd come back. Seeing Dr. Ray like this, Shawn felt a bit smug.

He had told Dr. Ray ages ago that Flora was brilliant, but he wouldn't listen. Regretting it now, huh?

Gradually, the senior lab members trickled in. Dr. Ray watched the door eagerly. Two minutes before nine, Flora finally arrived, dressed in a white lab coat, wearing a mask, and her hair tied up in a high ponytail.

She pressed her fingerprint on the reader, but the door didn't open.

Seeing Flora frown, Dr. Ray and Shawn suddenly remembered what had happened, their faces changing.

Oh no!

Dr. Ray had erased Flora's fingerprint from the system!

Shawn hurriedly opened the door, awkwardly smiling: "Morning, Flora!"

He felt a bit guilty, worried Flora might be upset.

After all, her fingerprint had been erased shortly after she left. He'd be mad too if it were him.

Flora casually replied, already guessing what had happened.

But she didn't say anything, striding into the lab and placing her backpack at her station.

Everyone in the lab watched Flora.

But their earlier contempt was completely gone.

Flora's achievement of acing all her exams had spread throughout Maple Grove University, and they all knew about it.

The Flora they had always looked down on was actually a top student, scoring full marks in every subject...

Something they couldn't even dream of.

They also heard that Dr. Ray had begged Flora to come back.

It truly shocked them.

Seeing Flora return, Dr. Ray let out a sigh of relief.

Flora was a promising talent, and he didn't want to waste such potential due to his own mistakes.

He could admit when he was wrong. Indeed, he had been wrong before, and now that Flora was back in the lab, he owed her an apology. "Shawn, go get Alexa."

"Yes."

Shawn quickly went out and soon brought Alexa in.

Alexa's eyes immediately found Flora.

Dressed in a white lab coat, Flora sat lazily at her station, her skin exceptionally fair. Even with a mask on, she was stunningly beautiful.

In contrast, Alexa was wearing a janitor's uniform. Just moments ago, she had been cleaning the toilets and could still smell the repulsive ammonia on herself.

At this moment, Flora seemed like a princess, revered by all, while she felt as low as dirt.

Her hand at her side clenched tightly, a surge of resentment passing through Alexa.

Dr. Ray stood in front of Flora, bowed deeply at a ninety-degree angle, his expression serious: "Flora, I owe you a sincere apology. I had been biased against you, treated you unfairly, and caused you distress. It was my fault, and as a professor, I did not fulfill my responsibilities adequately."

Shawn and others were taken aback.

They had never expected the proud Dr. Ray to take such a humble step.
