had bent over backward to get Kruz's attention, yet he barely acknowledged her existence.

Abbey was caught totally off guard and nearly toppled over. She stumbled but managed to regain her balance, her eyes wide with disbelief as she watched Kruz practically grovel before Flora. What had Flora done to have Kruz so utterly wrapped around her finger? Abbey And now, after barely knowing Flora, he was already calling her by her first name? The more Abbey thought about it, the more her frustration turned into a seething resentment. Why was it so easy for Flora to get everything Abbey longed for?

"Adrian, uncles, Ryan, if you want me to stay here and handle the treatment, you better get her out, pronto. Mr. Karter's condition is serious, and every minute counts," Abbey declared, shooting a glance at Elijah. He quickly chimed in, "The Reyes family is being downright unfair! You invite our Miss over and then bring in someone else to stir the pot! If you want this other woman, we're out of here."

With that, Elijah began to lead Abbey towards the exit. But the Reyes family members swiftly intervened, "Ms. Abbey, of course, you should be the one to treat him! Do what you think is best; we all have faith in you."

This Flora character was a complete unknown to them. They had no clue about her medical skills. How could they trust her with Karter's life? Abbey's expertise was well-known on Lone Island, and she had treated Karter before, knowing his medical history well. For a surgery on Karter, Abbey was undoubtedly the right choice.

"Ryan, get Adrian out of here," one of them signaled, suggesting he should escort Kruz and Flora away. Kruz was almost amused by the whole mess. He'd brought Flora here out of kindness to help, and they were rejecting her?

Abbey couldn't hold a candle to Flora, not even close. "Hold on a second!" Adrian stepped forward, positioning himself in front of Flora, his gaze halting the Reyes family servants eager to oust Flora and Kruz.

"Flora, can you really fix my dad up without surgery?" he asked, his voice tinged with desperation.

"And you're asking a stranger?" Kruz shot back, glaring at him. Flora, fed up with the bickering, nodded reluctantly. She was here purely for Kruz, and if not for him-and the fact that Adrian was usually decent-she'd have already left.

Adrian's hands clenched tightly by his side. He averted his eyes, deep in thought, before looking back at Flora with determination. "Flora, please, you have to help my dad."

He couldn't explain why, but he

bet. Yet, Flora inspired a strange confidence in him. Abbey was taken aback by Adrian's choice, hen frustration boiling over.

The uncles were equally stunned, quickly voicing their concerns. "Adrian, don't be reckless! Normally you're so carefree, but this is serious! You want an unknown woman to treat your dad? That's risky!" . Narugi

"We don't agree with this decision!" they insisted.

"The man in that bed is my dad, and I think I should have the final say," Adrian replied, taking a deep breath. "Uncles, no more arguments. I've made up my mind-Flora will treat my dad."
