It was definitely Kruiz's voice! And maybe it was just their imagination, but there seemed to be a touch of eagerness in his tone when he spoke to Flora...

"I've got a patient here who needs surgery. Can you make it over?"

"Absolutely, where exactly?"

"First General Hospital, but the patient's in critical condition. We can only wait about twenty minutes."

"I'm nearby. Hang tight, I'll be there in ten." As soon as he finished speaking, there was the unmistakable sound of a door closing, followed by the rapid footsteps of Kruiz on the move. Flora hung up the phone.

The room went silent.

The doctors just stared at Flora, stunned, trying to wrap their heads around what had just happened.

Who was this young woman, to have Kruiz come running with just one call?

Kruiz said ten minutes, but he showed up in eight. Partly because he was close by, but mostly because if Flora needed him, he was going to make sure he was at his best. "Kruiz!"

When they saw him, the doctors immediately straightened up, showing respect.

They greeted him with all the politeness they could muster.

But Kruiz brushed past them, his eyes locked onto Flora.

"Kruiz, thanks for coming."

"It's no bother, doing something for you makes me happy."

Everyone loves a talented up-and-comer, and Kruiz was no exception. He had a real soft spot for Flora because of her talent and her character.

"This the patient? Leave it to me!" After checking Karter's condition, Kruiz confidently patted his chest. "I've got this."

The bullet was dangerously close to the heart, a tricky situation for sure, but for Kruiz, it was just a small challenge. He had it out in no time.

"All done, he can be moved to a regular room now. No more danger."

"Thank you, Kruiz!" Adrian was overjoyed, like a huge weight had just been lifted off his shoulders, and he quickly thanked him.

"Don't mention it, I'm just helping out Flora," Kruiz waved it off, "By the way, Flora, how's your hand? Everything okay?"

"It's alright, just needs a bit more healing time."

"Glad to hear it. In our line of work,

these hands are everything." Kruiz then remembered something, "I mentioned before about you joining the Medical Training Center as an instructor, have you thought it over?"

He had been over the moon after watching Flora in the finals, seeing her as a real gem he didn't want to lose.

"I'm not interested," Flora shook her head.

The other doctors were flabbergasted again.

Did they just hear right?

Kruiz wanted Flora, who looked barely twenty, to be an instructor at the Medical Training Center?

And she turned him down! Are young folks today really this amazing?

"Alright then..." Kruiz sighed, "I've got some urgent business to handle, so I'll head out. Call me if you need anything."

He had already postponed an important meeting for Flora's sake.

Flora and Kruiz walked out of the operating room together. Karter was in the clear now, and she wanted to check on her dad. "I've never seen Kruiz go out of his way for someone like that..."

"Same here."

The doctors were still reeling from

the shock murmuring, "Wait, did Kruiz call her 'Flora'? Is she the Flora from the Austenberg team in the Medical League?"

At that, the room went so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

So, that girl was the medical genius Flora, who, with just one hand, completed one of the world's ten
