Ryan nodded in agreement. In their world, the lady of the house was the ultimate authority. No one could mess with their young miss and get away with it. "If he's decided not to teach anymore, then let it be. I've got something else for you to do," Karter said after a brief pause.

"Got it."

...

Riley was in agony. His chest hurt so much he couldn't sleep. Every time Adrian's words echoed in his mind, the pain seemed to double.

"Ha, let's see how long they can hold out without me!"

Without him, they were nothing! By tomorrow, they'd be begging him to come back.

"Knock, knock, knock."

Just as Riley was thinking this, there was a knock at the door, and the servant walked in. "Dr. Fox, Ryan's here."

Ha. They'd come crawling back to apologize sooner than he thought. He figured they'd last at least until tomorrow, but apparently not.

"Did he come alone?" Riley asked.

The servant nodded, "Yes."

Riley let out a sarcastic laugh, thinking a simple visit from Ryan would make everything okay? Not a chance. Unless Flora showed up and apologized in person, this wasn't over. And Adrian needed to apologize too! "Let him in."

Riley struggled to sit up as the servant brought Ryan into the room.

"Ryan, that Flora, who knows where she came from, and yet you're treating her like royalty. She's turned the Reyes family upside down and even led Adrian astray. Look at what she did to me. I'm telling you now, Flora must apologize to me personally, or there's no way I'm coming back to coach."

As soon as Ryan walked in, Riley vented everything he had bottled up. But he didn't notice Ryan's expression growing darker by the minute.

"Riley," Ryan cut in sharply, stopping Riley mid-rant, "I think you've got it all wrong."

"What?" Riley looked at him, confused.

"I'm not here to apologize. In fact, if anyone should apologize, it's you."

"What are you talking about?" Riley frowned.

"You insulted our lady for no good reason. She's pure and kind, and your harsh words damaged her mental well-being. We haven't even addressed this with you yet." Riley was baffled. "Excuse me?!"

How could he have harmed Flora's mental health? Was he the one not seeing that he was the one lying in bed, injured?

Ryan continued, wearing a perfectly

poised smile, "But, given our past

relationship, we'll let it slide. We heard you're not interested in

leading the Reyes family team

anymore, right?" en Narugi

"I"

"Well, if that's the case, then step down. But since you're the one breaching the contract, according to our agreement, the one who breaks it must pay triple the penalty

en Narugi

"But-"

SUMS

"I've had our lawyers calculate it—it's

eight hundred thousand. I expecte

you to transfer it to the Reyes famity's account within three days, or we'll see you in court."

Ryan didn't give Riley a chance to respond, turning on his heel and leaving without a moment's hesitation.

Riley was left in disbelief. He never saw this coming. The Reyes family was willing to go this far to protect Flora, losing him in the process!

He didn't get the apology he expected from Flora and Adrian; instead, he got hit with a massive compensation bill!

"You'll regret this! On Lone Island, how many coaches can you replace better than me? I'm a senior coach at TM Club!"
