Even someone as top-notch as Riley only pulls in about thirty grand a month.

"Luke, what are you getting at?" Adrian snapped, wishing Kruz was there with him. Kruz was always the smooth talker. Just a minute ago, weren't they sneering at their coach? And now Luke had the audacity to try and poach him right at their doorstep! The rest of the Reyes clan was fuming too.

Luke, on the other hand, acted like he hadn't done anything out of the ordinary: "What's the big deal? I offer a better salary, and if folks want to come with me, that's just business as usual, right?"

Youth noticed the tension in the air and pieced it together. They weren't on friendly terms. It looked like they were the Reyes family's rivals.

"You probably can't afford us," he shot Luke a cool, unimpressed look. Never in his wildest dreams had he thought someone would offer him a ten grand monthly paycheck.

Luke figured they'd jump at the chance with a ten grand offer, but they turned him down? His face darkened immediately. Just some run-of-the-mill coaches, and ten grand isn't enough for them? If it weren't for wanting to rile up the Reyes family, who'd care about them anyway?

"Ten thousand bucks and you're still not biting? If you're aiming higher, maybe take a good look at your skills first. I'm giving you a shot with the Jones family for your own good. The Reyes family's racing team is about to hit the skids!"

"Join the Jones family, and not only do you get a fat paycheck, but you also get hands-on training from Riley!" Luke said, pointing at Riley. "This guy's a senior coach at TM Club. Loads of people would kill for his mentorship. You've heard of TM Club, right?"

The expressions on their faces were a mixed bag of emotions. Youth glanced at Riley, struggling to recall when their club had snagged such a high-ranking coach. His instincts were usually spot-on.

The guy with the buzz cut behind him leaned in and whispered, "Boss, that's Riley."

Youth's face turned icy at that. So, this was the guy who'd crossed the president and even got him blacklisted by Flora. He hadn't even gotten around to settling the score, and here Riley was, practically gift-wrapped.

Youth, with a sly grin, eyed Riley, "So you're claiming to be a senior coach at TM Club?"

Riley, feeling a bit rattled under Youth's gaze, quickly gathered his composure and nodded, "Yep, impressive that you've heard about TM Club."

Luke, thinking they were in awe of

the senior coach title from TM Club, puffed up with even more pride: "Two roads ahead of you-either join the Jones family or get blacklisted all over Lone Island. One word from Riley, and no family would dare

touch you."

Of course, Luke was blowing things out of proportion. He just wanted to spook them, betting on their lack of worldly experience to make them easy prey.

Youth let out a laugh, more out of

disbelief than amusement. He ignored Luke, focusing his sharp gaze on Riley with a wicked smile, "You've got some nerve."

"I've already warned you not to flaunt the TM Club name around, and yet you still dare to step out of line. Do you really not value your arms?"

Riley's smile vanished, eyes widening in shock. What did he just say?!

"And, you're just scraping the bottom of the barrel at TM Club. Since when did you climb up to senior coach status?"

The moment those words hit, Riley's mind went blank, a cold shiver shooting up from his toes to his head!
