Chapter 101

Paris, police station.

Doctor Roger goes to the police station this morning to see his daughter. Maître Soulard accompanied him. They go to the commissioner’s office. Before, he explained to the doctor the bail that the judge set for his daughter.

Roger: hello commissioner.

Commissioner: hello gentlemen, take a seat.

Roger: Thank you.

Soulard: we are here in relation to the doctor’s daughter.

Roger: I’m ready to pay his bail.

Commissioner: Very good, as soon as you have paid her, she can come out. His deposit being €5,000.

The doctor then pays his daughter’s bail and takes her home. They get home and he makes her pack up all her stuff and takes her to the airport to get her on a flight to DOTTAN, having already paid for her plane ticket in advance. Despite Charité’s refusal, she disappointed her father so she has no other choice. After his departure, Roger leaves for Belgium to resolve his son’s problem.

Boxing club.

That night, Krist brings Gordjo to Roberto’s house. After having dinner together. They go to the boxing club to participate in the fight organized by his friend. After they leave, Krist discreetly sends a message to Nero. The latter transmits the message to the cell.

After receiving the commander’s message, the cell director assembled his team.

Samuel: Nathan, you are going to lead Team A. Together we are going to seize Roberto’s drugs stored in his butcher’s shop. Diego, you will lead Team B, you will be responsible for arresting Roberto at his home. Both operations must take place simultaneously so we must be ready and wait for Roberto to return.

Boxing club.

Roberto joins his friend who organizes the fights. He introduces him to his friends, Mr. Gordjo and the fighter Krist.

The fighting began and ended a few hours later. Krist was the winner. Roberto made a lot of money betting on him. Obviously, Gordjo and Krist himself also amassed a lot. After the fight, Krist takes his trophy and they decide to go home. He calls Nero.

Krist: Yes, we just finished and I have to drive the boss home. Besides, I’m very tired so we’ll see you tomorrow.

They shake hands with Roberto and they leave. On the other side, having been warned by Nero, the cell begins its operation. Samuel leads team A and Diego teams B. Team A goes to the butchery and stands a little aside waiting for Roberto to be arrested so as not to be notified if the operation entry happens first.

Roberto’s home.

Team B arrives at Roberto’s house. There were just three of them. Once there, they take the door guard and the servants hostage. One of them wears the guard’s clothes and stays at the door. The others hide inside. Here comes Roberto. The disguised agent opens the gate for him and he enters. He parks his car and goes inside. He takes off his jacket and places it on the couch. That’s when Diego and his teammate come out of hiding, pointing their guns at him.

Diego: hands up and don’t move. Come on, handcuff him.

The other officer handcuffs him.

Roberto: Can I know what I’m being accused of?

Diego: drug trafficking.

Roberto: whatever, I’m stuffy.

Diego: we know that you use your butcher shop as a cover.

Roberto: you’re telling lies, you have no proof against me.

He just plays the recording of Sandro’s voice.

Diego: thank you. I actually want to make a bulk purchase, is that possible?

Sandro: for that, you have to see the boss.

Diego: the boss, you’re not the boss?

Sandro: no, I’m just the manager. The boss is Mr. Roberto. The butchery and the coc belong to him.

While the other agent brings him, Diego warns Samuel and then frees the hostages. He joins his colleague and they leave.

Butcher’s shop.

Samuel: we’re going to split into two groups. Nathan, you and your team will enter from the back, I will enter from the front with mine. Let’s go and wait for my signal. They don’t expect our visit so we have a big advantage. Go!

So they proceed with the operation. The director’s team entered the butcher’s shop, it was empty. Sandro is inside sharing the drugs. They therefore enter the cold room and they take the door which opens into the drug room by breaking it down. They come across a group of people waiting to receive the drugs.

Samuel: hands in the air, no one moves!

Some began to flee towards the back door and Samuel gave Nathan’s team permission to enter. So they enter and proceed to arrest everyone who was present. It was a surprise and successful operation. They seize the remaining drugs and search the building for anything. After that, Samuel informs Nero of the success of the operation and they return to base. Samuel therefore decides to speak to the governor about Krist’s involvement in all the operations that have taken place in recent weeks.

Gordjo’s home.

Krist was in his room, his head deep in thought. He thought of his wife. His phone rings and he answers.

Krist: Yes!

Nero: good news Krist, the operation was a success. They got Roberto and his drug.

Krist: That’s good news. Things are getting better and better. Gordjo suspects nothing.

Nero: soon your nightmare will end Krist.

Krist: Yes, I believe that too. Thank you Commander.

He says his prayers and rests.

DOTTAN.

That night, Gauthier calls Simplice.

Simplice: yes boss!

Gauthier: give me some good news!

Simplice: unfortunately, there is no pattern. Corneille still does not respond.

Gauthier: holy shit, what is he doing?

Simplice: we should think about the fact that he was really arrested boss.

Gauthier: no, I called the prison this morning but he wasn’t there.

Simplice: what if we hadn’t transferred him to prison yet?

This morning, Corneille has recovered sufficiently and is in condition to be taken to prison. Boris talks to him again.

Corneille: sorry for you, I’m not a snitch.

Boris: you really want to spend the rest of your life in prison it seems because your crimes have just increased. You added to your list, the kidnapping and sequestration of Commander Léon’s family. It’s better for you to cooperate.

They leave and Commander Léon informs his wife and he comes to take them home.

This morning, before going to work, Séverin speaks to Isabelle.
