Conference room.

Commander Boris and Léon as well as the department heads of the anti-drug brigade and Krist were invited to the town hall this morning to receive congratulations from the mayor and medals for the service they have accomplished within this special unit . Journalists were present and people filled the room. Isabelle could not miss such a moment in her husband’s life. Stella was there too. Maître Célestin and his brother, Yves, Séverin and Claire as well as Ernestine and her brother are not missing either. The city governor, the prefect, in short, all the city authorities were present at this ceremony. Yves didn’t take his eyes off Ernestine at all, but she didn’t see him. After everyone is settled, the facilitator speaks.

Host: Ladies and gentlemen, good morning and welcome to this medal ceremony. Thank you for honoring this historic meeting with your presence. Without further ado, we will request agents of the Special Drug Enforcement Unit to enter the scene.

They therefore enter by order of the commander to Marlène and Krist at the end to the ovations of the public.

Host: we give the floor to the mayor, the initiator and creator of this unit.

The mayor will speak.

Mayor: Thank you all for being here and I say thank you especially to these brave people who have spared no effort to eradicate drugs in our city.

Applause.

Mayor: I am also very grateful to the organizing committee who invited me to this ceremony and who gave me the opportunity to speak, because today, I am no longer mayor of the city. But it is true that the initiative and creation of this brigade was my work. And today, I am proud of what this brigade accomplished for the city. It was created 20 years ago when a 16-year-old girl fell victim to this filth and died. This was the first case of death from the drug and every day more cases were reported. Young girls, raped by their own drugged fathers, assaults and robberies, accidents, due to the use of this substance came forward so I took the initiative to talk about the idea of creating a fight against the drugs to Commander Léon who approved the idea and that’s where we were able to set up this brigade. I say thank you to the very highest authorities of the Republic, particularly to the President of the Republic who kindly financed this project and allowed it to see the light of day. Since its birth, the anti-drug squad has fought against drugs in the city for years. Commander Boris took over to continue the fight and today she has overcome drugs. Work, tenacity, determination, courage and bravery are the qualities possessed by these men and women who gave the best of themselves to make our city clean today. We can only be infinitely grateful to them. Thank you, thank you everyone.

Applause. The mayor returns to his place.

Host: we invite the current mayor to come to the podium.

The mayor goes up to speak.

Mayor: thank you for this opportunity granted to me to say a few words to these courageous and valiant men who loved their country, who loved their city and who gave the best of themselves to protect and clean it up. Since my inauguration, I have collaborated fully with this brigade in its fight and today I am proud of what it has accomplished. Congratulations to all.

Applause and he returns to his place.

Host: Now we move on to the medal ceremony.

The Medal of Honor was awarded to commanders in addition to the Medal of Valor awarded to all officers. Only Krist remains on the stage. The current mayor is still called to the podium.

Mayor: once again we would like to particularly thank this young man without whom the efforts of the anti-drug squad would have been in vain. It is thanks to him that the brigade was able to get their hands on the mastermind of this traffic, Mr. BRUNO who was hiding under the mask of Gauthier. His name is Kristian, he is not an agent and yet his courage, his bravery and his sense of patriotism allowed him to collaborate with the brigade in the fight against this harmful substance. Unjustly condemned a few months ago and deported to Mexico, sold as a slave, he endured many ordeals but with courage, he stood up to all his trials. This is why we award him the medal of courage and bravery of which he richly deserves.

Krist receives his medal to the ovations of the public. He then leaves the stage and his wife comes to hug him very tightly. A few moments later, the party portion of the ceremony began. People were eating, drinking and dancing. Hands were shaken, congratulations here and there. Yves constantly looks at Ernestine. He wanted to approach her but she seemed so responsible that he got nervous and postponed it until tomorrow. From 9 a.m., the ceremony ends at 1 p.m. Boris approaches the former mayor.

Boris: hello Mr. Mayor.

Mayor: hello Commander, once again, congratulations.

Boris: thank you sir. I have a concern.

Mayor: I’m listening to you.

Boris: now that drugs are eradicated in our city, what happens to the brigade?

Mayor: This is an excellent question Commander, however, I advise you to talk to the current mayor about it.

Boris: yes, thank you. But if it were you, what would you have done?

Mayor: Well, it’s true that there are no more drugs, but there are still other crimes that undermine the well-being of the city.

Boris: you are right, thank you sir.

Krist’s home.

Krist’s family comes home. Isabelle is going to drop off her daughter who was already sleeping before joining her husband.

Isabelle: I am so proud of you my love. As God rewarded Job, he also rewards you today for your bravery and faithfulness.

Krist: Yes, I am very grateful to him.

Leon’s home.

Delphine: you deserved it my love, it was time they recognized it.

Léon: I didn’t expect it at all.

Delphine: what are you going to do now?

Léon: I plan to create my own security agency.

Delphine: Do you want to talk to me more about it?

Léon: an agency that will take care of the security of individuals. A type of carrier network, but only the transport and protection of people.

Delphine: hum, and what do you plan to name it?

Léon: I don’t know yet. Maybe a private security agency.

Delphine: no, I have better to offer you.

Leon: I’m listening to you.

Delphine: you say that it is to ensure the safety of individuals by taking them from point A to point B, right?

Léon: it’s a bit of that. It can also ensure the safety of witnesses who are in danger because they should testify or the safety of people whose lives we want to harm, the safety of tourists, etc.

Delphine: so why not, organization for the security and escort of the people?

Léon: Organization for People’s Security and Escort, but it’s really excellent darling.

Delphine: do you think so?

Léon: yes, it’s perfect. You are really smart my love. Every time you give me your opinion on an important subject, I always replace a solution.

Delphine: It’s nice to hear that.

Leon: thank you my love, I will talk to Commander Boris and Krist about it.

Delphine: okay.

Séverin’s home.

Claire: Krist is truly an extraordinary man, who wouldn’t want to have a child with such a man? I really envy Isabelle.

Séverin: wait, are you doing it on purpose or are you forgetting that I’m here and that I can hear you?

Claire: but it’s you I’m talking to.

Séverin: and you want me to join this discussion? So you’ll excuse me. I’m not going to associate with you to elevate another man. I’ll leave you to your fantasies.

Claire: don’t get upset darling, I’m just being sincere in my words, that’s all. That doesn’t mean I want to be with him. Maybe before, but not now that I’m with you. You are the man of my life and not Krist.

Séverin: do you still love him, please be sincere?

Claire: no, it’s you I love so stop with this meaningless jealousy. (Smile) At the same time, I like that you are jealous.

Séverin: oh stop, it’s not funny!

She grabs him by the lips and they move on to something much more interesting than this discussion.

Célestin’s home.

Back at home, Célestin and his brother, he sits with his head pensive.

Séraphin: this Krist is truly an exceptional man. He must be more evolved than normal humans.

Célestin doesn’t hear anything.

Séraphin: hey bro, is something wrong?

Célestin: hum, what did you say?

Seraphim: What is it?

Célestin: I really feel very alone in this house. I must marry Stella at all costs. I can’t stand being single anymore.

Boris: hello Mr. Mayor.

Mayor: hello Commander, once again, congratulations.

Séraphin: I also wonder what you were waiting for. Hey, why don’t we get married on the same day?

Célestin: Are you ready?

Séraphin: obviously!

Célestin: I want to pay the dowry and have the wedding on the same day.

Séraphin: ok, in this case I will pay the dowry a day before.

Célestin: It works. Let’s talk to parents about preparations.

Séraphin: great!

Home of Ernestine.

Ernestine: ah Krist, why didn’t I meet you instead of Corneille?

Hervé: big sister, is everything okay?

Ernestine: Do you think there can be two men like Krist in the world?

Hervé: of course, I am here in front of you.

Ernestine: very funny!

Hervé: is he still in your heart, han? You better get it out of there before it becomes heart cancer for you.

Ernestine: thank you for the advice, I will take note of it.

Hervé: I’m sure that the man of your life is not very far away and that you will meet him very soon.

Ernestine: thank you.

Krist’s home.

It’s night. It’s time to sleep. Krist was holding Marie who was sleeping so he goes to put her in her crib then he joins his wife on the bed.

Isabelle: what are we going to do now?

Krist: I plan to start my own business and invest as well. I’m also thinking of opening a private clinic for you, a maternity ward.

Isabelle: no, I… I’m not ready for that.

Krist: but why? You can very well have your own clinic.

Isabelle: I don’t have enough experience yet.

Krist: My God, I can’t believe that my wife, who is so intelligent and so exceptional, underestimates herself to this extent!

Isabelle: no, it’s not that I underestimate myself, it’s just that I still have a lot to learn. I cannot open a clinic in which there will only be maternity. Please drop this project and we’ll talk about it when I’m ready. Let’s talk about your project instead.

Krist: Okay.

Isabelle: what kind of business do you want to create?

Krist: an e-commerce business with a physical location.

Isabelle: okay, e-commerce also brings in a lot of money.

Krist: Exactly.

Isabelle: do you still have experience in the field?

Krist: Yes, I took a lot of training when I was at university and I even did free online e-commerce trials so with a little expert help, it could be fine.

Isabelle: okay. Let us pray to God for the realization of this project.

Krist: Yes.

City hall.

The day after the medal ceremony, Commander Boris made an appointment with the mayor, an appointment he honored this morning from 10 a.m.

Boris: hello Mr. Mayor, thank you for having me.

Mayor: hello commander. Please take a seat!

Boris: thank you sir.

Mayor: So, what would you like us to talk about?

Boris: It’s about the future of the brigade.

Mayor: I’m listening to you.

Boris: Well, now that there are no more drugs in the city, what will become of her and her agents?

Mayor: Exactly, I would like to talk to you about it later. Rake the city for a while longer, just to completely eradicate this filth, because there are people who have bought a large quantity of it and keep it in their homes. And afterward, the brigade could be disbanded.

Boris: with all due respect, Mr. Mayor, and these men and women who work there, what will become of them? You will create an unemployment situation by doing this.

Mayor: What do you suggest?

Boris: it is true that we have eradicated drugs but we have not eradicated crime. Assaults, thefts, robberies, kidnappings, assassinations are orchestrated every day and the local police alone cannot put an end to them. So I suggest transforming this brigade into a special crime-fighting unit.

Mayor: You are not wrong. I will think about your proposal and if possible submit the idea to my superiors.

Boris: OK, thank you, Mr. Mayor.

Mayor: Do you have a name suggestion?

Boris: uh… no… yes. What do you think of Anti-Crime Cell (CAC)?

Mayor: Yes, it’s pretty good. Have a nice day Commander.

Boris: have a good day sir.

The commander therefore takes leave of the mayor by retiring.
